Mengao and Botafogo battled to a nil-nil draw. This stupid tie dropped Flamengo to third place in Group A. The guys have one win and three draws.

This sucks big time.

At this rate Rubro-Negro will not play in the Taça Guanabara Campeonato.

Mengao started their top players but the result was crap. Both sides played poorly. There weren’t that many scoring opportunities. Sure the expectations were high but Gaucho company didn’t deliver.

Apesar da expectativa pelo primeiro clássico carioca na temporada, Botafogo e Flamengo protagonizaram um primeiro tempo de baixo nível técnico, sem grandes oportunidades de gol. O alvinegro, comandado por Andrezinho, chegava com mais frequência, mas esbarrava nos erros de Elkeson e Loco Abreu na hora da conclusão das jogadas.

Liverpool and Tottenham dueled to a nil-nil draw at Anfield. Both sides had their chances but neither could push the rock across the goal crease.

This match marked the return of the Reds striker Luis Suarez. Suarez was substituted for Dirk Kuyt in the 66^th minute. Suarez had several clear shots on goal but the result was não serve para nada.

Suarez also committed a hard foul when he kicked a Spurs defender in the gut. This cat’s a dirty player. The only way he’ll learn to play clean hard tackle his silly ass. 

Man City is atop the leader board with 57 points.

Man U is second with 55.

Spurs are third with 50.

Chelsea is fourth with 43 points.

Newcastle is fifth with 42 and my guys from Arsenal are sixth with 40.

Liverpool is seventh with 39.

Man U scored one of their classic comebacks. Down three goals to nil the mighty boys from Old Trafford came back rescued a point against the Blues at Stamford Bridge.

The final score was a three all tie with Chelsea.

This tie helped my guys from Arsenal.

Man U was  attempting a sweep of the Blues for the first time since 1987.

An own goal by Jonnie Evans in the 36^th minute set the tone for the match.

Juan Mata gave the Blues a two zero lead in the 46^th minute.

A goal by David Luiz made three nil then all hell broke loose in the final thirty-two minutes.

Two PK’s by the Rooney man and well-placed header by Chicharito saved Sir Alex and the boys butts.

Sure Man U lost some ground on City but this tie may have saved the Red Devils season.

A loss would give the Citizens a three-point lead over Man U instead they trail City by two points.

City is top dog with 57 points.

Man U is second with 55 points.

Third place belongs to Spurs with 49 points.

Tottenham and Liverpool will battle it out later today.

Chelsea is fourth 43.

Newcastle is fifth with 42 and my guys from Arsenal are sixth with 40.

This delicious tie keeps my Gunners three points behind the Blues and two points behind Toons.

We are in a fight for the last spot in the Champions League.

There are fourteen match’s left in the EPL season.

Newcastle defeated Aston Villa 2-1.

Sir Alex was pissed at the linesmen for not sending off Gary Cahill. This is what Sir Alex said about Howard Webb, “It’s two points dropped because we played so well, other than the ten minutes after half-time. It’s not easy getting back from 3-0 down – that’s a massive effort from my players,” Ferguson told Sky Sports.

“It was a sending off. The linesman has given two penalty kicks against us at Old Trafford in the last two years, one against Arsenal and one against Liverpool – from 45 yards away, but he can’t see that? I don’t blame Howard Webb, I blame the assistant.

“There was a pull on Ashley Young, in front of the linesman again, and he doesn’t give it. Yet he gives them at Old Trafford. I don’t understand it, I don’t know where they get them from.

This sucker was all over at halftime. Robin Van Persie deposited the rock into the back of the net two minutes into the match. Theo Walcott set this puppy up with a great pass across the goal crease. The Rovers couldn’t make the clearance pass out.

Buda Bing buda boom it was 1-0 for the guys.

Blackburn got the equalizer by Morton Gamst Pederson in the 31^st minute. He fired a laser of a free kick from just outside the top of the box.

Goals by Robin Van Persie and Oxlade Chamberlain made it 3-1.

A red card was given to Gael Givet and this sucker was over before the bell struck the halfway point of the match.

Robin Van Persie nailed the hat trick.

Chamberlain hit the daily lotto twice.

Mikel Arteta hit for pay dirt as well.

We win in cakewalk 7-1.

Thierry Henry scored in the in the 94^th minute.

This was a huge for the guys. Our first win of the New Year gives us hope to move into the final spot in the Champions League.

We are now in fifth place with 40 points.

Chelsea is in fourth place with 42 points.

Man U- Chelsea will battle it out at Stamford Bridge later today.

Gunner Nation will be rooting for a Red Devil win.

The Citizens are three points ahead of Man U.

Norwich beat Bolton 2-0.

Once again Mengao decided to play their B squad against Olaria. The chief idiots and clowns that run Flamengo are playing with fire. The boo-Mengao’s have two ties and one win against crappy competition. If we continue to play like this Flamengo will be on the outside looking in. the Carioca Title is a huge deal. This competition sets the tone for the season. At this rate we’ll be whale crap. Bye-bye to the Serie A. Hello D-2 ball.

UOL-Com um time repleto de juniores, inclusive com a estreia de Matheus, filho do tetracampeão Bebeto pelo time profissional, os reservas do Flamengo não conseguiram se impor em cima do Olaria, nesta sexta-feira, no Engenhão, pela terceira rodada da Taça Guanabara, primeiro turno do Campeonato Carioca. Apesar do resultado, a equipe da Gávea voltou a liderança do Grupo A, com cinco pontos. Pela equipe suburbana, foi o primeiro ponto do clube, que conta com o vetarano Pedrinho, na competição.

Nova Iguacu has five points também but Mengao is a plus four. Botafogo is a plus 2. Nova Iguacu is a plus one.

Macaé and Madureira both have four points apiece.

The race for the top spots is tighter than a doornail.

My guys from Arsenal have a huge match with Blackburn later today. This is a must win for my Gunners. We can’t afford any more brain farts or ties. Arsenal has to win “W’s”.

Robin Van Persie is the only offense we have. Without RVP my Gunners would be in the shits.

Next on the goal parade is Gervinho with four.

The Rovers beat us many moons ago. Actually it was in September. Blackburn won 4-3.

This was our third straight loss. As of right now my Gunners are 0 for 2012 in EPL play.

We are on a three match-losing streak. This sucks big time.

Blackburn is in 17^th place with 18 points.

They trail Bolton by two points so you know the Rovers will play balls to the wall.

The Wanderers take on Norwich City the Canaries house.

City is at home against Fulham.

The guys from Mengao were down 2-1 on aggregate. We had the precious away goal. All my guys needed to do was win by shut out and it’s on to the main draw of the Copa Libertadores.

Rubro-Negro delivered the knockout blow. Flamengo won 2-0 at Mengao’s house.

Goals by Leo Moura and Ronaldinho Gaucho saved our butts big time.  The guys started out strong. Mengao applied the pressure of the outset. This gave us the win. Flamengo won 3-2 on aggregate.

UOL O Flamengo diminuiu um pouco da pressão, mas continuou assustando o Real Potosí. Bottinelli foi quem teve as melhores chances, com dois chutes perigosos. A equipe boliviana apenas se defendia. Já o Rubro-Negro perdia uma chance atrás da outra. Desta vez, Deivid chutou em cima do goleiro após bom passe de Luiz Antônio

Com tantas chances aparecendo, o Flamengo conseguiu abrir o placar. Ronaldinho Gaúcho cobrou uma falta da ponta direita para o meio da área. O lateral Léo Moura ignorou o penteado moicano e colocou a cabeça na bola para balançar a rede do Potosí: 1 a 0.

Na segunda etapa, o Flamengo seguiu com mais posse de bola, mas a procura para ampliar o placar não foi a mesma do primeiro tempo. A equipe rubro-negra tentou chegar à meta do Potosí com os chutes de longa distância. Renato assustou diversas vezes, mas sua pontaria não estava tão afiada. O time boliviano, por sua vez, resolveu sair mais para o jogo, principalmente após a entrada de Pol. No entanto, Felipe não chegou a tomar sustos.

Mengao will be in Group Two of the Copa Libertadores. Com a classificação, o Flamengo fará parte agora do Grupo 2 da fase de grupo da Libertadores. Flamengo will battle Lanus in Argentina on February 15^th.

The play of Leo Moura was the main reason why the guys advanced to Group play in the Copa Libertadores. He has an assist in the first leg against Real Potosi. Moura’s goal got us off on the right foot. He dedicated the goal to his daughter.

Depois de dar bela assistência para o gol de Luiz Antonio no jogo de ida, o lateral-direito, de 33 anos, marcou de cabeça o primeiro na vitória por 2 a 0 sobre o Real Potosí, nesta quarta-feira à noite. Foi o gol de número 40 do jogador com a camisa rubro-negra e apenas o terceiro de cabeça. E serviu como presente para a filha Isabella.

My guys from Arsenal had a real chance to move into fifth place but my Gunners stunk the joint out big time. Instead of a “W” we wound up with a nil-nil tie with lowly Bolton.

The point moved the Wanderers out of the drop zone into 17^th place.

Arsenal shot themselves in the head big time.

We controlled the action but couldn’t push the rock past the goal line. My Gunners have only one point in our last three away matches. Add this on top of being winless since January 1^st our season is fading fast into the sunset.

Toons beat Blackburn 2-0. Newcastle dropped us to seventh place while Toons is now in fifth with 39 points.

Arsenal is buried in seventh place with 36 points.

Our season is driving Pell Mel to hell in a hand basket.

Fulham and West Brom tied one all.

Aston Villa and Queens Park Rangers drew two all.

Sunderland shut out Norwich City 3-0.

The race for the title and the heave-hoe zone are wide open and for real.

Man U and Man City are tied on points with 54 but City has the advantage with a plus 42 compared with the Red Devils plus 35.

Third place belongs to Spurs with 49.

Chelsea is in fourth place with 42 points.

Wigan is whale dung with 15.

One step above crap is Wolverhampton with 18.

Blackburn is one step away from salvation with 18.

The Rovers are a minus fourteen while Wolves are a minus 18.

Man U and Liverpool were engaged in a war in their fourth round match of the FA Cup. The Reds and the mighty boys from Old Trafford are bitter enemies and that’s an understatement.

Liverpool drew first blood in the Daniel Agger nailed a header off a free kick. David de Gea blew it. He was squeezed off the line and this allowed Agger an open shot at the goal.

Park Ji Sung found the equalizer in the 39^th minute. Sung fired a rocked from just outside the box. The shot beat the keeper Rena far post left.

David de Gea gave up the match winner in the 88^th minute. Dirk Kuyt nailed a perfect shot between the wickets to beat De Gea dead to rights.

Andy Carroll set this puppy up with a pass.  

Once again Man U’s weak back line betrayed them again.

The Reds are on to the next round of the FA Cup.

Once again the flash point came late in the match between these two storied clubs.

Man U poor back line has been exposed again. This has been Sir Alex and the boys Achilles heal.

The Red Devils have been knocked out of the Champions League and the FA Cup due to bad defense and crappy goal keeping.

The Red used most of their top players while Sir Alex started the second team. Only Chicharito played. Rooney and the rest of the big boys sat out so this was a major reason Man U lost.

All and all this was a huge win for Liverpool.

The Reds are out of the title hunt and they are hoping to get a Champions League spot.

However Liverpool has a better shot at the Europa League.

Chelsea defeated Queens Park Rangers 1-0 to advance as well.

The Blues won it on a controversial PK in the 62^nd minute. Juan Mata nailed the PK to send Chelsea through to the Promised Land.

Flamengo lost to Real Potosi 2-1 at Leon Imperial’s house Bolivia. Leon Imperial is up 2-1 on aggregate. This means the guys are going to have to hold Real Potosi goalless and win 2-0. Mengao has the all important away goal in this home at home series.

Rubro-Negro took the lead when Muralha found the back of the net in the 28^th minute.

Leon Imperial responded  in kind with a goal by Claudio Centurion in the 30^th minute.

Real Potosi nailed the match winner in the 57^th minute.

Edgardo Britez ripped the twines.

UOL- Mesmo com o período de treinos na altitude, o Flamengo mostrou muita dificuldade com o ar rarefeito de 4.100m de Potosí-BOL. No entanto, a equipe da casa tentou se aproveitar disso para pressionar o Rubro-Negro e saiu de campo no jogo de ida da primeira fase da Libertadores com uma vitória de 2 a 1. Luiz Antônio abriu o placar para o time carioca, enquanto Centurión e Brittes garantiram a vitória para os bolivianos.

As chances vinham sempre da mesma maneira: através dos chutes de longa distância. No entanto, muitos destes remates do Real Potosí paravam nas defesas de Felipe. Quando o Flamengo conseguiu ter um breve domínio da posse de bola, o gol saiu. Léo moura fez uma belíssima jogada na direita e rolou de bandeja para Luiz Antônio, que só teve o trabalho de escorar para o fundo da rede.

Man City put up one hell of a fight against Liverpool in the Carling Cup replay but the Reds prevailed 2-2 to advance on aggregate 3-2.

This puppy was a nutcracker. The Citizens took the lead twice 1-0 and 2-1 before Craig Bellamy scored in the 73^rd minute to send Liverpool to the Carling Cup final against Cardiff.

Nigel de Jong’s goal in the in the 31^st  minute gave City the early lead.

The Reds responded in the 41^st minute on a PK by Steven Gerrard.

Edin Dzeko nailed a close range bomb in the 67^th minute. The Citizens are up 2-1.

Craig Bellamy rammed home the equalizer in the 76^th minute that sent Liverpool nation into a frenzy.

Reds captain Steven Gerrard said this about Bellamy’s goal -”It’s a great feeling, it’s been a while,” Gerrard told Sky Sports. “Since playing at Cardiff in 2006, it’s been too long for this club. I’m delighted for everyone, especially the fans.”

“Craig was the difference,” Gerrard added. “His pace was always a threat and we know that if a chance falls to him he can finish. It`s a big thanks to him. We had to be positive and brave. 

“Man City have so much quality and our decision to attack them paid off. Joe is a big character but I don’t feel sorry for him. He’s a top keeper and he will play in many finals. But it’s our turn now and we have to go and lift that trophy.”

Craig Bellamy said about facing his home town side Cardiff – “The omens were looking good going into tonight after I saw Cardiff go through,” the striker said. “I was delighted for them and this couldn’t be a better final for me. Cardiff means so much to me. It’s funny how football can work out at times.”

City’s Roberto Mancini said this We did a good performance, scored two goals. I think it was not a penalty for Liverpool and was for us. This changed the game,” the Italian said. “He (Richards) touched the ball on his leg, for this reason (it was not a penalty).”

“There is a referee on the pitch. It is enough. It was a penalty, incredible, clear. We did well, scored, we did some mistakes and conceded a stupid goal. We can do nothing.”
