We are in the idiot season. It is called the friendly international matches that have no bearing on nothing except filling the coffers of FIFA.

The World Cup ended earlier this year in July. Yet, the clowns at FIFA are stilling playing these crap matches.

How many world class players have to go down before some one stands up and shouts “ ENOUGH OF THIS BULL SHIT.”

The clubs these players work for need to stop the likes of Carlos Tevez, Messi, Torres, and Robinho from playing in them.

Yet, this will never happen. FIFA and the clubs have a ton of money tied up in these FIFA friendly matches.

Follow the money.

All these matches do is serve, as a training ground to see which players will fit in the system the individual coaches have.

This stuff needs to stop now.

The players need to form a union.

They need to walk out.

The players need to demand time off.

Compensation and proper medical care.

They need to have a retirement fund.

This is all part of what is lacking in futebol today.

The proper model should be the NFL players union or MLB players union.

Enough said.

Mengao had a great chance to move up the table but no Flamengo reverted to their perfect old form. They stunk the joint out in 1-0 loss to Internacional in Porto Alegre.

I mean it looked like Rubro-Negro would draw first blood in the opening moments but in a matter of moments, Colorado counter attacked.

Internacional took off like a bat outta hell and scored on wicked long-range salvo from Taison in the 4^th minute.

Taison fired a blast that went clang off the cross bar down into the back of the net.

Lomba never had a prayer to stop this missile.

When players like Diego Mauricio, Vinicius Pacheco, Marcelo Lomba, and Ronaldo Angelim get a full years experience under their belt watch out Campeonato Mengao will kick butt.

If Rubro-Negro can sign Ronaldinho Gaucho, this might give us the push we need to challenge for the title.

On the verge of leading Brasil into their quarterfinal match against the Netherlands, former Dutch star Johann Cruyff said he wouldn’t pay to see Brasil play.
