My guys from Arsenal got their hands handed to them. It was more like AC Milan lopped them off. A daily double by Robinho, a PK by Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and prize from Kevin-Prince Boateng showed why the Italians are superior club.
The Rossoneri won going away 4-0.
This devastating loss killed us.
The only chance we have is to score five goals and hold AC Milan to nada.
This isn’t going to happen.
My Gunners played with little emotion or guts. It seemed like the guys were sleep walking through the match. Even Robin Van Persie disappeared for most of the match.
The final scored should have been worse.
Thank God it wasn’t.
This loss was my Gunners worst away defeat in their storied Champions League play. We had our asses kicked by a good Italian squad. The Rossoneri are top dog in the Italian Serie A.
This classic butt whopping by AC Milan shown the light of truth on our weaknesses our back line sucks big time. If we can’t fix this problem and bring in a real fullback we will be cut to shreds by the likes of City, Man U, Barcelona, Real Madrid, and other top futebol clubs.
The UK Guardian Post wrote this- “This was Arsenal’s Mr Hyde side. Defensively abject, they were led a less-than-merry dance by Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who also ended his hoodoo of failing to score for Italian clubs in Champions League knockout ties. Milan played very well, as they sought revenge for the last-16 miseries visited upon them in recent years by Premier League clubs, but it was hard to spare Arsenal from stinging criticism. Their passing lacked accuracy and tempo, while there were smears for many reputations. The fight for the right to re-enter next season’s Champions League felt a little pointless after this.”

This is dead right on. I’ve been writing this same this for almost a year now.
The Irish Examiner money quote-“Arsenal’s Champions League dreams were shattered by a humiliating 4-0 defeat to AC Milan in the first leg of their last 16 clash at the San Siro tonight.”
The heaviest European away defeat for Arsenal will be a bitter pill to swallow, but Arsene Wenger must lift his squad again for what is now a crucial FA Cup fifth-round tie at Sunderland on Saturday ahead of the Premier League derby with Tottenham – when the Gunners will look to keep alive hopes of qualifying again for the Champions League with a top-four finish.”

The Telegraph wrote this little diddy- Arsenal’s biggest ever defeat in European competition, and somehow that doesn’t do justice to how dispiriting that performance must have been for their supporters. They were embarrasses, entirely outplayed and barely even a bad imitation of a team that could challenge the big guns of this competition. Milan impressed but it’s similarly hard to see how they’d cope against Barcelona or Real Madrid. Not just because those teams are so much better, but because Milan aren’t that good. And they beat Arsenal 4-0. I will be interested to see how the second leg pans out. Over and out from me, thanks for your company.

The Italians are that good. The Rossoneri have Robinho who is still one of the top players in the world as well as rising Brasileiro star Pato, and a solid defender in Brasileiro Thiago Silva.
It is time for Wenger to go.

It’s August. This means the EPL is two weeks away. Kick-off begins August 14th.
My guys from Arsenal played in the Emirates Cup in London.
The Gunners and AC Milan tied at one all.
We started a very young lineup.
The clown in goal was Fabianski.
He did okay.
Jack Wilshere, Andre Arshavin, and Tomas Rosicky started up front.
Samir Nasri and Emmanuel Eboue anchored the midfield and Thomas Vermaelen was rock of the back line.
The surprise of the match was Marouane Chamakh knocked home the bacon in the 36th minute. Chamakh sent the ball right through the keeper’s wickets.
Arshavin set this baby up with a great pass.
AC Milan found the equalizer in the 76th minute.
Brasilian the Duck Pato headed home ball. Buda bing buda boom it’s in the back of the net.
Next up is Scottish side Celtic.
Celtic and Lyon tied two all.
All of this action takes place at the Gunners house Emirates.
Lyon jumped out a huge two nil lead before the guys from Scotland scored twice in the final ten minutes to tie this baby up at two all.
These two goals broke the hearts of the French side.
I love it.
The cheating frogs get it shoved back in their face.
Sao Paulo finally won.
Tricolor stopped the bleeding at Morumbi with a 2-1 over Ceara.
This was Sao Paulo’s first win six matches.
Tricolor had four loses and one draw entering into today’s play.
The win move Sao Paulo to ninth spot in the table.
Tricolor has 15 points.
Fluminense defeated Atletico-PR 1-0.
Washington scored the match winner in the 21st minute.
Atletico-GO and Guarani tied one all.
Sunday will be a fun one. This is the derby special day Vasco-Flamengo and Palmeiras-Corinthians.
I love it
Flamenguista for life.
