Our road woes continue.

We need to find an answer to why Arsenal struggles on the road.

The Gunners escaped with a one all tie with Liverpool at Anfield.

This BS has to stop.

Liverpool was down to ten men.

Then lightening struck when Reds David Ngog broke free just outside the box. Ngog fired a perfect top shelf bullet. This laser beat keeper Manuel Almunia in the 46th minute.

We had the advantage but Arsenal couldn’t crack the Reds “D” code.

At several times in the second half it looked like Liverpool was playing twelve guys.

Then magic presto the match changed in an instant.

The clock was going tic, tic, tic. Time was winding on the match. A loss looked for certain. Gunners Rosicky fired a great cross into the teeth of the goalmouth. Chamakh bumps the ball towards the goal. Chamakh gets tangled with Reds keeper Reina. Reina bats the ball into the back of his own net in the 90th minute to us the equalizer.

Thanks be to God for the Abbott and Costello routine by Pepe Reina.

This huge gaff saved our bacon on this Sunday afternoon at Anfield.

This was a totally underserved one point.

If Arsenal is going to win the title, we need to win on the road.

If not we are sunk big time.

The champs always find ways to win on the road.

Last year EPL Champions Chelsea had the best road record.

Next up for us is newly promoted Blackpool.

The Seasiders are coming off a huge win 4-0 win over Wigan.

The only saving grace is that we are home.

It was good to see both Robin Van Persie and Liverpool’s Fernando Torres return to action.

From what I saw, our guys played too much one on one and didn’t work the ball around for a good shot.

Several times Jack Wilshere, Theo Walcott, Samir Nasri, and Tomas Rosicky had good scoring chances but they could close the deal.

We have to learn how to finish.

Not a good start but I’ll take the one point.

Arsenal needs to improve.

Arsenal started out like a house on fire. Pressure baby. It was pure pressure the Gunners have applied on FC Porto.

We have been rewarded.

Samir Nasri fired a great ball into the goalmouth. This through ball forced keeper Helton to come out and protect the goal. Helton and two other defenders collide with each other as Arshavin attempts to shoot. The ball squirms free. Nicklas Bendtner pokes home the garbage in the 10th minute.

Arsenal is up 1-0.

This is huge.

If the scored stays this way, the Gunners are on to the next round.

Who says we are going to be hurt by the absence of Cesc Fabregas.

Nicklas Bendtner has hit for the daily double in the 25th minute.

Yes, sir re Bob, we are off and running. This goal was set up by a TO baby. FC Porto defender Fucile fired a pass right to Arshavin. This give away gave Andre Arshavin all the room he needed to slide the ball across the goal crease to the open Bendtner.

Walla the naked net.

Score this one for Bendtner.

Arshavin made the three Porto defenders look like schoolgirls.

I love it.

The guys have sucked it up and showed what the Gunners are made of.

Vince Lombardi said, “When the going gets tough the tough get going.”

Arsenal is as tough as nails.

We had a tiny let down. The Gunners let FC Porto’s the Hulk take it to the rack but Manuel Almunia stopped em cold.

Just like that, we scored two goals in a span of three minutes to put this sucker outta reach.

Samir Nasri was one on three. He made the FC Porto defenders look silly. Nasri ripped the twines in the 63rd minute to give the Gunners a 3-nil lead.

He shot was a tight angled shot that ripped the far post.

Arshavin steals the ball off a corner kick by FC Porto.  He dribbles drives up the pitch. Arshavin hits a streaking Eboue. Eboue flat out beats the keeper to score a gimmie goal in the 66th minute.

Hey, mister keeper Helton here is your jock back.

It is 5-0 Arsenal.

Dandy Don Meredith is singing turn out the lights the party’s over.

Let’s hope all hell doesn’t break loose between now and the end of the match. We are in like Flynn to the quarterfinals of the Champions League.

Just a little bit of salt in the wound is added in the 90th minute. FC Porto’s Fucile shows his frustration by tacking Eboue in the box.

Up stepped the main man Nicklas Bendtner. It is a hat trick for Bendtner. He nails the PK to put Porto out of their misery 4-0.

This was a total take me to the woodshed whopping administered by Arsenal to FC Porto.
