Barcelona proved to the world why they are the best futebol club in the world.

The Catalans destroyed Santos 4-0.

This sucker wasn’t even close.

Lionel Messi hit the daily lotto.

Messi started off the hit parade with a strike in the 16th minute.

The rout was on.

Xavi found pay dirt in the 23rd minute.

This puppy was over.

Messi added his second goal in the 82nd minute.

Former Gunner Cesc Fabregas scored in the 44th minute.

Peixe won the Copa Libertadores but against Europe’s best Santos comes up way short.

Santos finished mid-table in the Brasileiros Serie A.

Peixe was tenth with 53 points.

Neymar said- “It’s impossible to stop Barcelona, but we are the second-best team in the world and for us that is a great reward.”

Santos headman Muricy Ramalho said- “Barcelona are the greatest team in the world,” he said. “No team can live with them. They’re unbeatable at the moment. Losing 4-0 to them is no disgrace.”

Pep Guardiola said about his side’s win- “My players were like artists,” Guardiola said. “Whatever they envisaged in their minds they were able to do on the pitch. It was an incredible performance.”

UOL wrote this about the slaying of Santos by Barcelona- Durante cinco meses, Muricy Ramalho vendeu a imagem de que o Santos iria atacar o Barcelona. O treinador passava horas analisando o clube catalão, consolidou um esquema tático para o esperado duelo, mas modificou tudo momentos antes de perder por 4 a 0 para o melhor time do mundo no Japão. Só que a escolha foi por uma opção jamais treinada.

Messi and the guys cruised past Al Sadd 4-0.

This sucker was a whitewash from the outset.

The bad news is this David Villa suffered a broken leg.

Not good for the Catalans.

Adriano hit the daily Lotto twice.

Barca fired six shots on goal.

Four of them found its mark.

That’s 66% from the field

Deadeye shooting by Messi and the boys showed just how good these guys are.

Lionel Messi didn’t score but he was the drink that stirred the straw.

Santos is up next.

Peixe needs to be on top of their game.

Neymar and company are going to have to play air tight “D’ and shoot the lights out of the net.

Two of the best players in the world will be going at it.

Argentina’s Lionel Messi and Brasileiros Neymar will battle it out big time.

Messi has been on the world scene for about seven years. Neymar broke onto the world stage 2009.

Both Messi and Neymar are being considered for the FIFA Puskas Award for goal of the year.

The Telegraph from Britain wrote this about Messi and Neymar- Messi is the current world player of the year and leading light in a Barcelona side who are ranked as one of the greatest teams of all time.

Neymar, meanwhile, is one of the most sought after young talents on the planet and already a mainstay of the Brazilian national team.

Here is the link http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/competitions/la-liga/8958739/Lionel-Messi-v-Neymar-how-Barcelona-and-Santos-stars-compare-ahead-of-Fifa-Club-World-Cup-final.html

The Telegraph-It is the second time Messi has topped the World Soccer poll. He was the victor in 2009, but narrowly lost out to his Barca team-mate Xavi last year. Xavi finished third this time, behind Cristiano Ronaldo of Real Madrid and Portugal.

Brazilian starlet Neymar is the only player in the top 10 based outside of Europe. The Santos youngster finished sixth in the World Player poll, but was the clear winner of the Young Player award, ahead of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Mario Gotze, Lille’s Belgian attacker Eden Hazard and Barcelona midfielder Thiago Alcantara.

Neymar said about him being better than Pele- The Times of India -Star Brazilian striker Neymar said on Friday that he would never be better than Pele and insisted he was not interested in impressing his many European suitors at the Club World Cup.

“He’s the one and only, he’s the king of football,” said Neymar, sporting his trademark blond bouffant hairdo.

Neymar is good but so far on the world stage for the Brasileiros National Team he has struggle big time.

Messi for that matter has too.

Neither of these two guys are Pele.

Pele is the greatest futebol player who ever lived.

Pele did it in 1958 when he first stepped onto the world stage at the age of eighteen.

Once again Argentinos started out playing like crap. Argentina fell behind early 1-0 when Colombia’s Dorlan Pabon ripped the twines in the 44th minute.

That’s the way it stayed until Lionel Messi finally got off the schnid. He nailed an empty netter in the 60th minute give Argentina the 1-0 lead.

Mate Jose Sosa fired a great cross into the box.

Colombia’s keeper David Ospima miss played the cross and this allowed Messi an open shot on goal.

Argentina salted this puppy away in the 84th minute.

Messi fired a rocket to mate Gonzalo Higuain. Higuain ripped a shot that was kicked away by Ospima. Argentina’s Sergio Aquero tucked the rebound into the back of the net.

Game, set, and match to Argentina.

This was not a convincing win for one of the better clubs in the world.

Messi said this- “It was hard. We did not deserve to go one goal behind to the opponents, as they were not better than us.

“We wanted to forget about the tie against Bolivia [1-1 draw on Friday]. That was very hard for us and I think we did.

“Sometimes you can play better, and other times you have to fight harder. This game was one of those days.”

Higuain added- “We wanted to win. We were very low after the game on Friday and we promised to do better here.

“It was a great match, very difficult to play at a demanding venue, but we improved our performance in the second half and did it.

“Now, we have six months to try to find our best shape. The qualifiers are long and we made a good step today.”

Chile knocked out Paraguay 2-0.

Ecuador shut out Peru 2-0.

Venezuela edged Bolivia 2-1.

Now it’s off for six months and then back to the WC qualifying.

Uruguay sits atop the heap with seven points.

Argentina is second with seven points.

Uruguay is a plus six while Argentina is a plus three.

Venezuela is third with seven points but they are a zero plus minus.

Fourth place belongs to Ecuador with six points.

Chile sits in fifth place with six points

The Chileans are a minus three.

Colombia and Paraguay each have four points however the Colombians are a plus minus zero so they sit in sixth place.

Paraguay is a minus three and have seventh place all to themselves.

Peru is eight with three points.

Bolivia brings up the butt end of the table with point.

Once again Argentina has a ton of talent and they are coming up short time in and time out.

Argentina and Bolivia tied one all.

Bolivia is at the butt end of the table.

This is a very disturbing trend for Argentinos.

Bolivia scored in the 55th minute.

Marcelo Moreno ripped the twines to give them a 1-0 lead.

Argentine answered the call in the 59th minute.

Ezequiel Lavezzi found the back of the net to level this sucker at one all.

That’s where we stayed.

Messi had some really good chances but he couldn’t covert.

Uruguay routed Chile 4-0.

Paraguay beat Ecuador 2-1.

Colombia and Venezuela tied one all.

Uruguay sits atop the table with seven points.

Argentina, Colombia, Paraguay, and Venezuela each have three points.

Argentinos has a plus two so they have the second spot

Colombia is third with a plus one

But lets remember the Colombian squad has a game in hand.

Fourth place is Paraguay with a minus one.

Venezuela has fifth place with a minus one.

World Cup qualifying is underway on Tuesday.

This is round of two of the long qualifying process to see who makes it to Brasil in 2014.

Chile battles Peru.

Paraguay battles hated foe Uruguay.

This should be a real war.

Venezuela takes on Argentina.

Bolivia has a hot date with Columbia.

Messi and Gonzalo Higuain are the two headliners for Argentinos.

With Tevez out Argentina is playing like a real team.

Higuain said this- “I hope I can keep playing this way. Playing for the national team is great – I’ve dreamt about it since I was a kid. I’ve always dreamt of wearing the number nine shirt of Argentina.

“This is just the beginning of the qualification. Winning the first match is good, but it’s just the first step.

”Both of these guys play for Barca so they know each other very well.

“We get on with each other very well. To me, it’s a pleasure to play by his side,” he said. “With both Angel (Di Maria) and Leo I feel very good when we attack, because we can profit from the spaces we have on the field thanks to their speed.”

Both Argentina and Venezuela both won their opening matches.

Diario Hoy wrote this about the match-

My good friend Doctor Luis Palau is happy that Argentina is playing well.

World Cup qualifying begins for 2014. Jeez I can’t believe it is just around the corner. The 2014 World Cup will be held in Brasil so that means Brasil already is in.

The host nation is guaranteed a spot.

Argentina started off their quest with a convincing 4-1 win over Chile.

Argentinos was led by Lionel Messi.

Messi scored a goal but his mate Gonzalo Higuain hit the triple lotto.

He dialed up the hat trick.

Uruguay doubled up Bolivia 4-2.

Luis Suarez and Edison Cavani each scored a goal while Diego Lugano hit the daily double.

Peru beat Paraguay 2-0.

Ecuador shut out Venezuela 2-0.

The Peruvians win over Paraguay was a real shocker.

The other big news is that Carlos Tevez was not named to the Argentina National team.

Juan Riquelme from Boca Juniors was also left off the squad.

This was only the first match in the long qualifying process but is was good to see Peru beat Paraguay. Peru This Week wrote this about the win-” The Peruvian soccer team defeated Paraguay 2-0 on Friday night.

According to Andina, Peru played in front of more than 45,000 spectators, in what was Peru’s first qualifying match for the FIFA 2014 World Cup.

During the first half of the game, Peru’s attacks were constant but failed to outplay the strong Paraguayan defense.

20 minutes into the match Paraguay began to attack more frequently and created some dangerous situations for Peruvian goalie Raul Fernandez.

Peru scored it’s first goal 2 minutes into the second half, after a play started by Jefferson Farfan, who passed the ball to Guerrero, who managed to pass between two defenders and score.

The second goal came at the 27th minute of the second half, when a pass by Pizarro managed to find Guerrero in front of the goal.

With the win, Peru scored its first three points in South American qualifying round for the FIFA 2014 World Cup.

Peru is attempting to reach the World Cup after a 29-year absence.”

De Futebol

It is a glorious two weeks until the EPL season begins. I can’t wait. Now my Saturday’s will be full of futebol.

Where we live in the middle of bum fuck Egypt the cable system and Internet suck big time.

No Globo TV.

The guys are putting the finishing touches on the pre season to get ready for the real deal.

Manchester United marched through the MLS like Sherman marched through Georgia.

None of the matches were close.

Man U destroyed the MLS All Stars 4-0.

This sucker was a total whitewash.

On Saturday night Man U and Barcelona have a rematch of the Champions League finals.

This puppy will be played in Landover, Maryland.

I wouldn’t expect to see the top guys like Messi, Rooney and the rest playing that much if at all.

My guys from Arsenal tied the Argentina club Boca Juniors.

The Gunners led 2-0 and low and behold Arsenal let Los Xeneizes score two goals in four minutes to escape with the tie.

Is this Déjà vu all over again?

Let’s hope not.

I don’t know if I can take another season like 2010-11.

Cesc Fabregas sat this baby out.

Wenger had this to say about the match- all quotes are taken from www.arsenal.com

The second half let down-
You never want to concede goals, but overall I do not give too much importance to that. What is important for us it to find a collective rhythm. When we could we managed to play at a good pace for 60 minutes, after it was much more difficult. It was expected, we came back from a training camp in Germany with heavy work and I knew that the second half would be much more difficult.

Boca Juniors are a good team and we got caught counter-attacking when were 2-0 up and we tried to build up the game, but when you are tired you miss some passes and were a bit more under threat.

What lessons did the guys learn- That we can score goals and Gervinho is a good addition to our squad. He is very interesting because he gives us options on both sides and through the middle. He can integrate well with our team. Also we have some improvements to make in some areas, especially the way we win the ball back. On set pieces we were not convincing today, but overall it was quite positive.

On Gervinho-

We can be extremely dangerous on the counter-attack with the players we have, we have Walcott who was not involved today, we have Gervinho and with the midfield we have I believe we can be very quick in the transition to go forwards, so that is always something very interesting. He can add that.

What about the future of Nasri and Fabregas-

don’t know. I play the players who are available and Nasri is available so I play him. Yesterday, I made a check up of all our situations and, I must tell you, nothing has moved since yesterday. Not one way, nor another way.

If Fabregas is committed to this Club and wants to stay, no money will get him out of here. We are not in a position where we need to sell our players. We want to keep our players. We are not looking after money. We want the players to stay here, from our side that is clear.

What about Nickolas Bendtner and Emmanuel Eboue- They are both on the verge of a move but nothing has been concluded with anybody. I don’t have any club in mind for Nicklas Bendtner because we are far from having done anything with anybody. I cannot give you any club because we have given him the permission to move.

Wenger added this getting nothing for Nasri and him staying- It’s not ideal for us on the financial side but, on the sporting side, he is an important player. We have to deal with the situation one way or another. In the next ten days we have to be clear on that front.

If you ask me if I want to keep him, I say yes. But he needs to be committed to that as well. I don’t give them ten days, the transfer period is until August 31. Ideally, we go into big games in two weeks, in the next two weeks we have to sort out problems out. There is no specific deadline of one day or 24 hours. It’s not like you shoot a shuttle into space. Sometimes it’s very quick on that front and sometimes it’s very slow.

Lots of question to still be answered by my Gunners. So we will see how this sucker plays out.

I don’t want another heart break season but this what one expects when you are a Gunner for life.

Just like my Philadelphia Stinko Eagles.

De Futebol

This past weekend was not a good day at Black Rock for Argentina and Brasil.

The favorites of the Copa America both crashed and burned.

Even though Brasil and Argentina lost this was a tale of two different futebol clubs.

Argentinos played very well while Brasil looked like shit.

There I said it.

Sure Uruguay took the early lead in the 5th minute when Diego Perez found the back of the net on a great shot.

Argentinos answered in the 17th minute.

Messi finally showed signs of why he is the best player in the world.

He didn’t score but his crossing ball set up mate Gonzalo Higuain. All Higuain had to do was deposit the ball into the back of the net.

Yes, the basket counts and a foul.

Then Charruas committed a brain fart in the 39th minute el stupido Diego Perez committed his second offense.

Voce Vai.

My wife said La Albiceleste will win this puppy.

I said No.

Uruguay can win.

The Argentines mounted a furious attack led by Lionel Messi.

Close but no cigar for La Albiceleste.

Great keeping by Nestor Fernando Muslera.

Several of his death defying stops was of the point blank range variety.

Two those were kick saves.

Muslera’s body was going one way and his legs kicked the ball out of harms way.

This cat was the hero of the match.

Then Argentina did the stupid red card trick late in the match when shit for brains Javier Mascherano did a very aggressive tackle in the 87th minute.

120 minutes later it’s PK time baby.

The goat.

Carlos Tevez.

Muslera flat out stopped this cat’s shot.

Game, set and match to Uruguay.

5-4 in PK time.

Tevez wore the choke collar.

Argentina showed promise.

The guys played very well in their last two matches.

Messi played the best he has played all tournament.

You see I will give a guy credit when he deserves it.

Messi played very good.

Peru beat Columbia 2-0.

Batista was asked after the match if he was going to quit-

“I’m not thinking about that. It has never crossed by mind. I have to continue on the job. My job started five or six months ago, and I have to continue with my plans. The important thing is the (2014) World Cup.

“I can’t be happy. One does not like to be eliminated. But I am content with my players.”

He asked by the press if the exit in the quarters was a failure for the club- “It is not a failure because we did all we could to win, and it didn’t happen,” Batista said. “Failure is a strong word. We worked to win but couldn’t do it.”

Charruas coach Oscar Tabarez said-”We’ve managed to reach our first objective, which was to match our results in the last Copa America.”

Últimas Noticias in Uruguay wrote-

Can you say upset city. Peru scored two extra time goals to beat the favored Columbians 2-0.

This was a classic dog day afternoon gunfight at the OK Corral.

Both sides battled tooth and nail throughout this sucker before the Peruvians found the answer in the 101st minute.

Carlos Lation dialed up a bomb from inside the left of the box that flat out beat the keeper Luis Enrique Martinez top shelf left.

Lation deeked right and went left.

His move left the Columbian “D” holding their jock straps.

Way to go garoto.

His mate Juan Manuel Vargas added a another laser shot from just above the PK spot in the 111th minute to seal the deal.

Columbia had a chance to win this baby in regulation but Radamel Falcao Garcia missed a PK in the 65th minute.

Can you say he wore the choke collar on that sucker?

Los Cafeteros should gave won this puppy.

Columbia tied Argentina and on top of that won Group A with seven points.

Peru on the other hand made to the knockout round by the hair of their chinny chin chin.

La Blanquirroja finished third in Group C with four points.

Peru advanced due to having one of the two best third place records.

Up next for Peru in the semifinals is either Argentina or Uruguay.

Both clubs will play later on Saturday.

Peru’s futebol history sucks at best.

La Blanquirroja has played in four World Cups since 1930.

Peru has had a better showing the Copa America.

The Peruvians won their only Copa title in 1975.

Columbia on the other hand has played in four World Cups since they joined FIFA in 1938.

Los Cafeteros has only begun playing in the Copa America for real in 1975.

Columbia won the whole enchilada in 2001.

In 1987, 1993, and 1995 Los Cafeteros finished third.

What did I tell ya Messi is a wimp. Messi did the whining act. Oh, I am not playing very well so please don’t criticize me. I am the best player in the world yet when it comes to nut cutting time on the world stage I play like a girl.

Please don’t attack me with the truth. Now the idiot head of the Argentina Futebol Association Julio Grondona  said this “The solution would be for Messi to say: ‘I will not come any more, I will stay in Spain.”

“What everyone acknowledges is that the Argentines want to put him down. Messi was born in Rosario, he lived and played there, he had growth problems. He followed his path, found a place – Barcelona – and they took care of him as if he was born there.

“And despite this, he said no to Spain because he wanted to play for Argentina. We have to reflect on this.”

This may be tongue and cheek but it’s symptomatic of what is wrong with Argentinos Futebol.

No wonder these guys crap out on the world stage.

Even in this report ESPN wrote below par. Below par my ass.

If you can’t take the heat then stay out of the kitchen fool.

Stay in Spain if you would you want Messi.

Who gives a crap.

He took the crap thrown his way.

The difference between you and Pele is as wide as the Grand Canyon.

Pele burst onto the scene in 1956.

He was eighteen years old and scored a hat trick in the 1956 World Cup semifinals.

Pele followed it up with a daily double in the finals.

Sure Pele has some bad matches but did he ever wine like a little girl.

NO!

The truth has bitten you in the ass.

You are a fake.

You and your buds Carlos Tevez have shown your real character. Tevez said this quote from ESPN- Messi’s team-mate Carlos Tevez has previously said he could quit Argentina because of the pressure placed upon him when playing for his country, but the Barcelona star claimed club and country are two very different things.

Messi did say this- I’ve never been bothered by what they say in the press and I never will be,” Messi said. “I don’t think anyone likes it when they’re whistled and insulted. We’re the first ones who want to do things well.

“It’s a mistake to compare this team to Barcelona. We’ve all been working together at Barcelona for a long time.

“In the national team we’re trying to do something similar, keeping hold of the ball, dictating the rhythm of the game, but you can’t compare the two teams, either as a group or in terms of individuals.”

Okay then prove it you lying sack of crap.

I’m sorry but I get tired of these high priced super stars that think they are above the rest of us.

He is just another crybaby in the long line of professional athletes who want love all the time even when their performance on the pitch sucks.

Thank God Lionel Messi you are not in Philly my hometown.

You would never make it.

If Jesus played a sport the sportswriters and fans would find fault with His performance.

El Litoral wrote this about Messi-
