The dirty cheaters from Barca advanced to the Champions League Final at Wembley Stadium.
Barca and Real Madrid tied one all but the cheaters advanced on a 3-1 aggregate.
Barca won at Real’s home 2-0.
This result was pretty much a fore gone conclusion.
Pedro’s goal in the 54th minute sealed the deal for the dirty cheaters from Barcelona.
Real found the equalizer 64th minute.
Marcelo found the back of the net but it was too little too late for Real Madrid.
The Special Ones side was hampered by dirty play in the first leg.
Pepe and Sergio Ramos were in the sin bin as well as Jose Mourinho for Real.
Barca was in control from the outset.
Yes, there were some theatrics by the dirty cheaters but other than that not much fireworks.
Barca will either face Man U or Schalke 04 in the final.
Sir Alex and his boys will play at Old Trafford later today against the German side.
Man U should advance but with the display of futebol, the mighty boys from Old Trafford showed at Arsenal, who knows?
It would be funny as hell if Man U was shutout from all trophies this year.
What a scene this would be.
Old Trafford would break out in a riot.
Gunner and Flamenguista for life.
This is it from The De Futebol Zone.

The special one Jose Mourinho did at Internazionale what he couldn’t do at Chelsea win the Champions League.
Internazionale took it to Bayern Munich 2-0.
The Italian side scored two second half goals to win going away.
Bayern had most of the possessions but Internazionale played steel curtain defense.
This was like the Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl Champs Mean Joe Green and the steel curtain “D”.
Kick ass baby.
The crowned champion by the media Barcelona was knocked out in the round of 16.
So was Real Madrid the other paper champion in the round of 16 too.
Real Madrid had all this firepower. Little good this did. The fake Ronaldo fired blanks.
Internazionale was led by Alberto Diego Milito daily double-34th and 70th minutes.
Jose Mourinho has led FC Porto and Internazionale to Champions League titles.
This is good but the special one is a carpetbagger.
He is good at taking others peoples talent and winning but I would love to see the Mourinho man start from scratch and build a championship side.
Sir Alex and my main man Arsene Wenger are the master architects at taking nothing and building them into champions.
The rumor mills are talking that Mourinho is headed to Real Madrid.
What did I tell ya?
This is still a huge milestone for Jose Mourinho.
He joins Ernst Happel and Ottmar Hitzfeld as the only other two managers to achieve this feat.
Bayern’s manager Luis Van Gaal led Ajax to the Champions League title in 1995 and he was seeking to accomplish the same feat.
Not on this day.
We two managers to join an elite group men.
This marks the first time in five years that an EPL side has not made to the finals.

Pompey fought the gallant fight but in the end Chelsea’s superior firepower, won the FA Cup in a thrilling 1-0 win.
Chelsea had the most scoring chances but the Blues couldn’t pull the trigger until Didier Drogba’s deadly free kick from twenty yards out was squeezed between Portsmouth keepers David James out stretched hand the right post in the 59th minute.
Prior to Drogba’s deadly strike Pompey had a golden chance to spin the match on its head but Kevin-Prince-Boateng’s PK was stone cold stopped by Blues keeper Petr Cech in the 56th minute.
Wham bam just like that in a span of three minutes the match was twisted on its ear and the Blues stuck a fork in Pompey’s dream of winning the FA Cup.
Portsmouth is broke and given the heave-hoe all in one season, yet this was a glorious run by the foreclosed side.
The money made from reaching the FA Cup might help the bankrupt Pompey.
Frank Lampard had a chance to increase the Blues lead in the 89th minute but Portsmouth keeper David James said “No way Jose” and shut em down.
Way to go garoto.
All in all Chelsea was in complete control of the match from beginning to end.
The Blues achieved the daily double winning the EPL and FA Cup titles.
Trust me when I say this Chelsea is heading down the backside of forty. This means Drogba and the boys are getting older. Their window of opportunity is rapidly closing.
They need to bring in younger players to replace the fading stars.
The “Special One” Jose Mourinho brought Drogba and the rest in but the management has not found replacements for them.
Mourinho is good a winning titles with other peoples talent but his ability to build a championship squad stinks.
This is not Mourinho’s strong suit.
Man U had a down year by their standards but remember the Red Devils lost the fake Ronaldo and few other players. The mighty boys from Old Trafford played a very young squad.
Watch out EPL!
My guys from Arsenal are in the same boat. We were besieged by injuries. Younger guys such as Aaron Ramsey, Theo Walcott, and Carlos Vela were asked to step in big time to replace RVP and Cesc Fabregas who were hit by the injury bug.
My Gunners will be ready next year to win the title as well.
Flamengo battles Vitoria later today.
Lets hope Rubro-Negro doesn’t stink the joint out on the road in Salvador.
I wouldn’t bet on it.
Mengao is in shambles.

Huracan’s Ezequiel Nicholas Filippetto made a dumb-dumb play. He fired the ball into his own net in the 2nd minute to give River Plate a 1-0 lead.

The top of the Clausura looks like this.
Independiente is top dog with 20 points. Godoy is second with 18 points. Banfield and Velez Sarsfield are tied for third place with 15 points each.
Let’s turn our attention to the second leg of the Champions League first round knockout stage.
Internazionale Sameul Eto’o scored the match winner in the 77th minute to beat Chelsea 1-0.
Samuel Eto’o took it straight to the rack and beat the keeper Ross Turnbull. He beat Turnbull one on one.
A wicked pass set up this goal from Wesley Sneijder.
It is on to the next round for Jose Mourinho’s side.
When Jose Mourinho was the Blues manager, he never lost a home league game.
Revenge is sweet.
Inter is on to the next round while the Blues are outta here.
CSKA Moscow upset Sevilla 2-1.
CSKA is on to the next round as well.
Aston Villa picked up a huge 2-1 win over Wigan. The difference in the match happened in the 25th minute.
Wigan’s James McCarthy fired the ball into his own net.
The Latics McCarthy misplayed a no pressure ball and shanked this baby into the back of his own net.
Choke City baby.

The win moves Aston Villa into seventh place with 49 points in 28 games.

It is only two months into the 2010 futebol campaign for Sao Paulo. Tricolor has lots of problems and if they continue to play this way Sao Paulo will indeed have a very long year.
Rogerio Ceni recorded first blood for Sao Paulo. He nailed a screamer into the wall. Bing bam boom the shot comes flying off the wall into the back of the net. Once Caldas keeper Luis Martinez never had a chance to stop this sucker.
This made it 1-0 for Sao Paulo in the 33rd minute.
With this goal, Ceni becomes Sao Paulo’s all time leading scorer with eleven goals in the Copa Libertadores.
Then the wheels fell off the wagon for Sao Paulo.
Once Caldas ratcheted up the pressure.
Once Caldas tied this baby up in the 49th minute. Uribe flat out beat Tricolor defender Xandao. Wham bam boom, back of the net for Uribe and we are even at one all.
Once Caldas took the lead when Moreno ran rings around the Sao Paulo “D”. He ripped the twines in the 71st minute to give Once Caldas a 2-1 lead.
This was all she wrote.
Stick a fork in Sao Paulo for they are surely done.
Once Caldas has six points after two matches. Sao Paulo has three points.
For the past few weeks, Sao Paulo has been playing horrible futebol. Sure, Tricolor is in second placed in Group Two but Sao Paulo has dropped two straight matches.
Sao Paulo has lost to Portuguesa, Palmeiras, and Santos in the Campeonato Paulista.
Tricolor is currently in sixth place with 17 points. Tricolor trails Torneo Paulista leader Santos by eight points.
Lets shift gears for a moment. We have two huge matches on Saturday in the EPL.
The biggie is Chelsea and Manchester City at Stamford Bridge. City is coming off a hard loss to Stoke City in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
The Blues lost to Inter 2-1. This was a hard fought tangle between the Blues and Inter in the first stage of the Champions League knockout round.
Both goals given up by Chelsea were bitter pills to swallow for the Blues. Jose Mourinho Inter’s headman is the former Blues boss who took them to EPL glory.
Will this disappointment bite Chelsea in the butt?
We will find out.
The Blues are unbeaten at home and have only been scored on eight times by the opposition at Stamford Bridge.
Goals will hard to come by for City.
Manchester City will have Carlos Tevez. This should provide an offensive spark for City.
The Blues will be without Petr Cech, torn calf muscle, and Ashley Cole, broken ankle.
I can’t wait to see who dictates the match.
Will it be Tevez or Drogba?
You can sure bet there will be a ton of fireworks on the pitch with these two very intense players battling it out.
We have a huge match with Stoke City at Britannia Stadium on Saturday. The Gunners will have the services of Eduardo available however; we will be without Gallas, Diaby, and Arshavin. This could hurt us deeply if we are not careful.
Fabregas and the guys need to come through big time.
Road wins are a premium in the EPL.
We need to win this baby.
Three points are a must.
When the dust finally settles on Saturday we will have a clearer picture of how the race shaped up for the title run.
Man U has already won.
The pressure is squarely on Chelsea and Arsenal to keep up pace.
All we need is for Chelsea to have a brain fart and lose at home and we’re in like Flynn.

Chelsea and Inter battled it out in the first round of the knockout stage of the Champions League. Ex-Blues boss Jose Mourinho is the Inter headman. Ex AC Milan headman Carlo Ancelotti is Chelsea’s main man.
Let’s talk about this barnburner of a match. Inter drew first blood in the 3rd minute. Alberto Diego Milito did a little side step action to the left. This slick move set up this strike that beat keeper Petr Cech to the short post left.
John Terry played horrible “D” on the play.
Chelsea discovered the answer in the 51st minute. Salomon Kalou was just outside the top of the box. He fired a weak shot that bounced past keepers Julio Cesar’s outstretched left paw. This should have been an easy stop. But no, Cesar flat out blew it.
The match is knotted at one all.
Inter began to apply the pressure on the Blues “D”.
Esteban Cambiasso fired a wicked shot but Didier Drogba blocked it. Rebound. Shot. Score Cambiasso in the 55th minute.
Inter is up 2-1.
Oh yes, we have a fight on our hands in Internazionale’s house.
Neither side is playing it safe. Chelsea and Inter are playing fast break, racehorse style futebol. I love it.
We have non-stop end-to-end action.
Both sides have had some great scoring opportunities but neither the Blues nor Inter have yet to pull the trigger.
It is all done. Inter defeated Chelsea 2-1.
The Blues picked up the all-important away goal.
Advantage Inter as we head back to Stamford Bridge for the second part of the story. The return match should be another nail bitter.
Lots of Copa Libertadores action on Wednesday.
Flamengo has a hot date with Universidad Catolica at Maracana. The Chilean side is currently in 11th place in the Chilean Apertura. Catolica has seven points. They are 2-1-3.
Mengao needs to flat out take it to Catolica.
Adriano and Love need to rip the twines.
Bruno will be out with a pulled adductor muscle in his right thigh. Youngster Marcelo Lomba will in goal. I sure hope this doesn’t kill us. This is the grand daddy of em all in South America-The Copa Libertadores.
Rubro-Negro opens the Copa at home then we are on the road for the next two matches.
Mengao travels to Chile to battle Universidad de Chile and Caracas, Venezuela.
Mengao has not tasted victory in first round play of Copa since 1984.
Flamengo needs to stop this schnid now.
Mengao has six draws and two losses in their previous eight Copa openers.
Not good garoto.
Flamenguistas needs a win.
In fifth round FA Cup replay action, Tottenham took it to Bolton 4-0. Super Russian Roman Pavlyuchenko hit for the daily double in the 23rd and 87th minute. The Wanderers hit the daily double own goal in the 35th and 47th minute.
Please say it ain’t so Joe.
It is.
Spurs are on to the next round of the FA cup.
Aston Villa beat Crystal Palace 3-1 to advance to the next round of the FA Cup.
Reading defeated West Brom 3-2.
Reading’s Brian Howard tied this baby up at two all in 90th minute to send this guy into thirty minutes of extra time.
Gylfi Sigurdsson hit the match winner in the 95th minute to send West Brom packing.
Stoke City needed the full 120 minutes to stifle City 3-1. This loss sure puts a damper Man City’s season.
Ryan Shawcross scored in the 95th minute.
Tuncay Sanli fired home the winner in the 99th minute to put this sucker out of reach.
City is sent packing as well.
Oh what a crazy day in the futebol world.
