It all came down to this. Win and you are the Campeonato.

My guys from Flamengo ended Vasco’s dream of winning the Brasileiros Serie A.

Gigante de Colina and Mengao tied one all.

This was a must game for us.

We had to have a result.

Internacional defeated Gremio 1-0.

If the guys didn’t get the tie this would have dropped Flamengo to fifth place in the table.

A goal by Renato in the 54^th minute saved our hides.

In the 30^th minute a goal by Diego Souza gave Gigante de Colina the lead.

It sure looked like Vasco would win the whole banana until the death knell struck twelve.

Corinthians and Palmeiras tied nil-nil to give Timao the crown.

Corinthians finished with 71 points.

Vasco ended up with 69.

Já o Flamengo, com o empate, garantiu vaga para a Libertadores do próximo ano.

Fluminense was third with 63 points.

Mengao has fourth place with 61 points.

So here’s the deal on the final matches of the Campeonato that will take place Sunday December 4^th.

My guys from Mengao have a shot to kill Vasco’s chances of winning the title.

All we have to do is beat Vasco.

This is a big derby between Vasco and Flamengo.

We are in fourth place with 60 points.

A loss could knock Rubro-Negro out of the top four.

A win could move us into third place.

Fluminense is in third place with 62 points

Coritiba sits in fifth 57 points.

Internacional is sixth with 57 points.

Figueirense is seventh with 57 points também.

Both Coxa and Colorado have the tiebreakers over Mengao.

We have a lot to fight for in this season finale.

If the guys win Flamengo will make to the Copa Libertadores.

The top five sides in the Brasileiros Serie A qualifies for the oldest South America club competition.

The winner of the Copa plays in December for the FIFA World Club Cup title.

I would love to stick a fork in Vasco’s title dreams.

I don’t like Timao either but our season is hanging the balance.

This may be true but I am not holding my breath.

My Guys from Flamengo finally got into the win column against Internacional.

Rubro-Negro defeated Colorado 1-0.

Finally Ronaldinho Gaucho scored.

His goal was the difference in the match.

This was Gaucho’s first goal since September 21^st, 2011.

He has twenty-goals on the season for Mengao.

Ronaldinho Gaucho spilt the “D”.

He flat out beat the keeper Muriel one on one.

O domínio dos gaúchos era total. Ronaldinho, isolado no ataque, e de escassas participações, via de longe o sufoco da defesa formada por Alex Silva e Wellington. Só que o Internacional titubeou. Não fez o gol e afrouxou a marcação. O Flamengo ganhou campo perto do final do primeiro tempo.

The win puts Mengao nation in fourth place with 60 points.

The big news of the day is this.

Both Vasco and Corinthians both won.

It sure looked like Timao would win the whole enchilada.

Corinthians beat Figueirense 1-0.

Gigante de Colina and hate foe Fluminense were tied one all.

Vasco was down a man.

It sure looked dark for Gigante de Colina.

A tie would have given Timao the title.

But, Bernardo found the back of the net in the 90^th minute to save Vasco’s bacon.

Now it will all come down to this on Sunday December 4^th.

Vasco has to win and Timao needs to lose or tie for Gigante de Colina to win the Brasileiros Serie A.

All Corinthians needs to do is win on Sunday and the Campeonato is theirs.

Timao has 70 points.

Vasco has 68.

We are heading down the home stretch of the Brasileiro Serie A.

Corinthians is top dog with 58 points.

Vasco is second with 58 points também. 

Only two goals separate these two clubs.

Third place belongs to Botafogo.

Fogao has 55.

Fluminense is fourth with 53.

My guys from Flamengo have 52 points well enough for fifth place

Internacional is sixth with 51.

Sao Paulo is seventh with 50 points.

Eight points separate the top seven clubs.

There are six matches left in the season.

Up next for boo-Mengao is Cruzeiro at home in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday.

In our last three matches the guys have  one loss, one win, and one draw.

This is not good.

Ronaldinho Gaucho has not been the same player since he was sent packing two weeks ago.

He needs to play with the reckless abandon he did prior the heave-hoe card.

Gaucho has not scored since September 21^st.

Deivid and Thiago Neves are the only players who have stepped up to the plate.

Deivid has scored four goals since September 21^st.

Thiago Neves has scored five goals in the same time span.

We need to step up the pace.

Flamengo trails Timao and Gigante de Colina by eight points with six matches left so we need to “W’s” not ties or losses.

One match was played in the Brasileiros Serie A mid-week. Santos took it Botafogo. Peixe shut out Fogao 2-0.

This loss to Santos cost Botafogo big time.

Fogao had a chance to move into first place in the Campeonato.

Corinthians is still top dog with 54 points.

Vasco is in second place with 54 points.

Timao has a plus 13 while Gigante de Colina is a plus 12.

Botafogo remains in third place with 52 points.

My guys from Flamengo are in fourth place with 51 points.

There are some huge matches to be played this weekend.

Rubro-Negro has a hot date with Santos on Sunday at Mengao’s house in Rio de Janeiro.

We have to win this sucker to keep our chances of winning the Brasileiros Serie A title.

Flamengo can’t afford to have any brain farts such as Ronaldinho Gaucho getting the heave-hoe or playing crappy “D”.

Well guess what the mister genus Ronaldinho Gaucho is not playing due to his stupid red card in last weeks match.

Add to the bye-bye list Thiago Neves. He is suspended também.

This is a killer.

These suspensions will kill the Flamengo’s attack.

Mengao stopped the bleeding. Flamengo and Botafogo tied one all on Sunday.

This tie stopped the losing skid at four matches. Sure we haven’t won since August 9^th but at least Rubro-Negro got the all-allusive point.

Flamengo is in sixth place 37 points.

Corinthians lost to Santos 1-0.

Vasco killed Gremio 4-0.

Gigante de Colina is in the pole position with 45 points.

Sao Paulo picked up a huge 4-0 win over Ceara.

Fluminense lost to Bahia 3-0.

Internacional and Coritiba tied at one all.

If Colorado won they would have passed Mengao in the table.

Fogao drew first blood in the 25^th minute.

Abreu ripped the twines for a 1-0 lead.

Mengao found the answer in the 49^th minute.

Jael deposited the ball into the back of the net to save Flamengo’s bacon.

UOL wrote this-Thiago Neves, apesar de não fazer uma boa partida, chamou a responsabilidade e fez todas as finalizações do time na primeira etapa. Corinthians suffered their first defeat of the season last Sunday.

Timao is in the pole position with 28 points.

Second place belongs to Tricolor with 22 points.

Sao Paulo snapped their three match-losing streak on July 9^th with a 2-1 win over Cruzeiro.

Tricolor defeated Internacional 3-0 on July 17^th.

On July 23^rd Sao Paulo and Atletico-MG tied two all.

Flamengo is in third place with 21 points.

On Wednesday Mengao battles Santos.

Peixe is creeping up the hit parade slowly but surely.

Santos is in 14^th place with 11 points.

Peixe has two games in hand.

Since the beginning of July Santos is undefeated winning all three of their matches.

Add to that Neymar is back in town Peixe is a very dangerous side.

Rubro-Negro goes to Santos house in Vila Belmiro.

Instead of getting real separation from the pack Flamengo is in a dogfight.

Rubro-Negro had a chance to reel in Timao but now the gap is seven points.

Mengao had a chance to leap frog over second place Sao Paulo but now we’re stuck in third gear.

Tricolor is in second place with 22 points.

Ten points separate the top seven clubs.

Com o impasse resolvido, as atenções voltaram-se para o jogo. O Ceará criou algumas chances, mas sem obter êxito. Até que em uma desatenção da defesa, Felipe Azevedo empatou a partida, aos 35 minutos. O zagueiro Welinton falhou duas vezes no lance e foi perseguido pelos torcedores até o final do jogo. The Brasileiros sides crashed and burned on Wednesday night in the knockout stage of the Copa Libertadores.

Not a good night indeed.

Gremio, Internacional, Fluminense, and Cruzeiro stunk the joint out big time.

Raposa had a 2-1 lead over Once Caldas after the first stage was played in Columbia.

Coming home should have been a breeze for Cruzeiro.

Not.

The Columbian side scored two goals and advanced into the next round on a 3-2 aggregate.

Second half goals by Diego Amaya, 66^th minute, and Dayro Mauricio Moreno 71^st minute sent Once Caldas to the Promised Land.

Flu destroyed Libertad 3-1 in Rio de Janeiro.

Libertad needed to score three goals and hold Fluminense goal less to win this sucker in Paraguay.

This is exactly what happened.

Libertad ripped the twines three times, won 3-0, and advanced 4-3 on aggregate.

Anther one of those choke city jobs.

The defending 2010 Copa Champs Internacional were chumps this time around blowing a 1-0 lead.

Colorado jumped to an early 1-0 lead in the first minute on a goal by Junior Oscar Dos Santos Emboada.

Penarol scored twice to win this sucker 2-1 and win on aggregate 3-2 to advance.

Penarol and Internacional tied one all in Uruguay.

Gremio lost their first match to Univerisdad Catolica 2-1 at Porto Alegre.

Univerisdad Catolica secured a 1-0 home win in Santiago Chile to win on aggregate 3-1.

Santos is the only Brasileiros side to advance to the next round.

Santos defeated America 1-0 in Sao Paulo and then tied America nil-nil in Mexico City.

Way to show the world we have the best futebol on the planet.
