The fake Ronaldo scored the only goal of the match in the 50th minute. It was basically all over but the shouting in this sucker. Real Madrid won 1-0 but lets remember this little diddy Real hammered Spurs at home 4-0 in the first leg.
Real won 5-0 on aggregate.
Real is on to the semifinals of the Champions League where they will face Spanish League foe and bitter rival the cheater from Barca.
Schalke 04 upended the defending Champions league titleholders Internazionale 2-1.
The German side won on aggregate 7-3.
Up next for Schalke 04 is Man U in the other semifinal match up.
Let’s get real for a moment Tottenham was really not a match for Real Madrid.
The Spanish side was way to strong and had too many good players for Harry “Me Boy” Redknapp and his guys to really make a game of it.
Spurs put up a good fight but that was about it.
Internazionale also won The FIFA Club World Cup title in 2010.
A new title will be crowned também.
Let the fun and games begin.
Flamenguista and Gunner for life.
This is it from The De Futebol Zone.

Manchester United sat back and did nothing for most of their Champions League match against Spanish side Valencia.
The Spanish side had most of the possessions.
Valencia out shot Man U 10 to 8 but the Red Devils scored the only marker of the match in the 85th minute.
Mexican newcomer Javier Hernandez drilled a perfect strike into the far left corner of the net.
Game, set, and match to Man U.
The good news for Sir Alex and the boys the rock and captain of the “D” Rio Ferdinand is back.
This is huge if the Red Devils want to win the EPL.
This was the mighty boys from Old Trafford first win in Spain since a 2002 victory over Deportivo La Coruna.
Spurs took care of business at White Hart Lane.
Tottenham destroyed Twente Enschede 4-1.
Spurs jumped to a 2-nil lead.
Tottenham’s Rafael Van der Vaart almost gave away the two goal when he was 86 in the 61st minute.
Vaart did his best to drive Harry me boy nuts. Rafael Van der Vaart missed a PK in the 41st minute but made up for it in the 46th minute. He nailed the PK to give Spurs a 2-0 lead.
This was a big win for Spurs.
De Futebol
Rangers stacked the “D” end of the pitch. This forced Man U to fight thru two layers of defenders. This tactic paid off handsomely for Rangers. This earned them a nil-nil draw with the mighty boys from Old Trafford.
Man U played at their house in the opening round of Group play in the Champions League.
Rooney, Rio Ferdinand, and Darren Fletcher were the only regulars who saw action on this night.
Sir Alex used mostly subs in this match.
Man U has a huge match against Liverpool on Sunday at Old Trafford.
The Reds have a history of sticking it the Red Devils.
The bad news was this Antonio Valencia broke his ankle in this puppy. He will miss at least two months or so.
Valencia is an up and coming young star of the Red Devils.
SIDE NOTE:
This bullshit has to stop. Too many players are going down like flies.
There needs to be a players union to stand up and stop FIFA and the futebol clubs from grinding players into the ground and force these idiots to have a sane schedule of matches.
Until the players stand up and stop this crap, this garbage will continue to happen.
Form a players union and force management to reduce the number matches played during a season.
Futebol needs a Curt Flood.
BACK TO THE ACTION:
Man U controlled the match but they couldn’t crack the code.
Tottenham on the other hand jumped to an early two goal lead at Werner Bremen however the home side came back and scored two goals to earn a two all tie with Spurs.
Tottenham was missing two of their key players Jermain Defoe and Luka Modric.
Modric’s leg was not broken.
This is good news for Spurs.
Harry me Boy you are learning about life at the top of the EPL.
Experience is hard teacher. You get the task first and the lesson later.
Spurs should have earned the full three points.
Not on this night for Werner Bremen came back to earn the draw.

On the brink of disaster, Tottenham exploded at White Lane to rout Young Boys 4-0 to advance to the group stage of the Champions league.
This is the first trip for Spurs in the quest of ultimate prize in club futebol-the Champions League.
It looked bleak for Tottenham after they fell behind 3-0 on the road to the Swiss side Young Boys before rallying to score two goals to make the final score a respectable 3-2.
These two away goals were of utmost importance.
Harry Redknapp had his chargers breathing firing at home.
Peter Crouch dented the nets in the 5th minute.
Jermain Defoe added a controversial goal in the 32nd minute.
Defoe controlled the ball with his arm before depositing it in the back of the net.
The Crouch Man added to more markers to complete his hat trick.
Way to go Harry me boy.
The only downer was superman Jermain Defoe needs to go under the knife to repair a torn groin.
This will set the Spurs back.
Defoe is one of the key players for Tottenham.
Let’s see how Spurs will handle the loss of a very good player.
I have a hunch Spurs will drop back to at least mid table.
The loss of Jermain Defoe hurts big time.
Now Harry and his guys will now find out first hand what it is like to juggle Champions League, EPL, Carling Cup, and FA Cup in a season.
Just ask Sir Alex, Wenger, and Carlo Ancelotti about this. These men face this year in and year out.
Welcome to the big time Harry me Boy.
This is not an easy task.
Players will play about 75 matches in a single season and this will lead to lots of wrecks.
Harry me Boy you’ll find out first hand.
You have when Jermain Defoe will miss at least a month or so.
Hats off to Tottenham for getting to the group stage of the Champions League.
Kudos.

Harry Redknapp and the boys from Tottenham are finding out how hard it is to play the EPL and Champions simultaneously.
Welcome to life at the top of the EPL table.
Man U, Chelsea, and my Gunners are used to this grind.
This is why Spurs played above their heads last year.
This year Tottenham came crashing down to earth.
Spurs lost to Young Boys 3-2 in the Champions league playoff round.
Tottenham started out like crap. Before Spurs knew it, they fell behind 3-0 before rallying to make the final score a respectable 3-2.
Spurs picked those all-important two away goals.
The second leg will be played next Wednesday at White Hart Lane.
Spurs need to win this sucker. If not Tottenham will not make it to the group stage of the Champions League.
Goals by Sebastien Bassong and Roman Pavlyuchenko gave Spurs a fighting chance to advance to the next round.
Win baby win. This is what it is.
Welcome to the big leagues Harry.
In the Campeonato Flu is top dog with 32 points.
Corinthians is in second place with 28 points.
Timao lost to Avai 3-2.
This loss cost Corinthians big time.
Avai stayed put in third place with 22 points.
Flamengo moved up to seventh place by virtue of the 1-0 win over Ceara.
Botafogo is in fourth place with 21 points.
Sao Paulo is in deep do-do. Tricolor is buried in 13th place with 17 points.
Sao Paulo pulled out a huge two all draw with Cruzeiro.
Vasco is in 9th place with 20 points.
We’ll talk more EPL and Campeonato tomorrow.

My main man Harry woke up. Redknapp started Jermain Defoe and this paid great dividends for Tottenham. Spurs handled West Ham. Tottenham shut em out 2-0.
Goals by Luka Modric in the 11th minute and Defoe’s powerful volley off his own miss in the 81st sealed the deal for Spurs.
I just love Defoe’s goal. This showed what kind of a player this cat is. He is the real deal.
Defoe received a great pass from teammate Aaron Lennon. Defoe dribbled through three West Ham defenders. He angles to the center of the pitch. He was just above the half circle when he stopped and popped. The keeper Robert Green blocked the shot. The rebound came straight back to Defoe. He nailed the one time volley. This was all she wrote baby.
Jermain Defoe also had a hand in the Modric’s goal too.
I don’t get this. Instead of six points, Spurs only wind up with four points.
Harry me boy this is dumb but you’re the manager not me.
This is why they pay you the big bucks.
To make dumb decisions like this I guess.
The Blues almost stubbed their toes but eked out a 2-1 win over Fulham.
Zoltan Green gave the visitors a 1-0 lead after four minutes. Green’s lethal shot flat out beat the keeper Petr Cech.
Drogba found the equalizer in the 73rd minute. Drogba’s header was deadly.
Two minutes later, the Cottagers succumbed to the pressure when Chris Smalling’s own goal in the 75th minute saved the Blues hide.
I don’t care what Ancelotti tells us the slump is not over. The Blues were as lucky as sin to win this baby. They played like crap.
It could get worse when Drogba, Kalou, and the rest leave for the Africans Cup in January.
Chelsea is a hurting puppy.
This win gives the Blues only two wins in their last six outings.
This is not good.
Birmingham got by Stoke City 1-0.
Blackburn and Sunderland tied at two all.
The first half was a dud but the second half was full of fireworks. Both the Rovers and the Black Cats put on an offensive display.
Darren Bent had the daily double for Sunderland.
Pederson and Diouf ripped the twines for Blackburn.
You gotta love it.
It looks like the guys at Manchester City will play Mancini. City destroyed Wolverhampton 3-0.
Carlos Tevez had the daily double. This cat can flat out take to the rack. Both of Tevez’s goals showed his real passion and power for the game.
Watch out for City looks like they are ready to make a run at the top four.
City is tied with Villa on points. Both sides each have 35 points But Aston Villa is ahead on goal difference. Villa has a plus 13-goal difference. City is a plus 12.
Oh baby shuffle the cards and lest see where the chips fall.

Boxing Day in England provided little separation for the clubs at the top of the table. Chelsea’s road woes continued. The Blues and Blues tied at nil-nil.

The Blues had a tremendous opportunity to separate them from Man U, Arsenal, and Aston Villa but no Chelsea wasted a golden opportunity.
The Blues out shot Blues 30 to 14. Chelsea had only seven shots on goal compared to Birmingham’s two shots on goal.
Chelsea’s mason tendencies are alive and well.
The Blues had 63% possession while Blues had only 37%.
With stats like these, this match should have been a slaughter but it wasn’t.
Birmingham had their chances as well but Blues are happy with the one point.
This is a very disturbing trend for the Stamford Bridge guys.
Chelsea can’t score.
This is bad.
This leaves the door ajar for Man U, Aston Villa, and Arsenal to inch closer to league leaders Chelsea.
You can’t do this. You have to get wins baby.
Road wins are a key. If not you can kiss the title bye-bye.
Tottenham and Fulham tied at zero-zero.
Gomes saved the Spurs bacon in this puppy.
The Cottagers Clint Dempsey, Bobby Zamora, Damien Duff, and Zoltan Gera each had wonderful opportunities to strike for gold but the Brasileiro eraser Heurelho Gomes stopped them cold big time.
The game ball should be awarded to Spurs keeper Gomes for his heroic work in net.
Gomes must have felt like he was a sitting duck on firing range.
Spurs had a great chance to get the full three points by playing Jermain Defoe but no Redknapp decided to bench his top scorer and start Robbie Kean.
On top of that, you wait until the 70th minute to bring in your money player. Give me a break. Harry me boy you have dung for brains.
This was dumb.
Why did you bench your top scorer?
Are you nuts Redknapp?
He must be.
Fulham killed Man U last weekend. This side is good. Play your big guns. Balls to the wall my main man. Win baby not ties you fool.
This tie may have cost you the title.
We will see.
Chelsea can’t win to save their life. The Blues have one win in their last five matches.
Manchester United has two wins and two losses in their last four encounters.
Yo, Harry, the door is opened. Bust through it and take control.
The chances are there. You just have to take them and not sit back and play not to lose. For if, you do this you will surely lose.
The big question I had was this? Will City play for Mancini? The answer is a huge and resounding yes. City shut out Hull City 2-0.
This is a huge win for City and new coach. Mancini.
Martin Petrov and Carlos Tevez ripped the twines for Manchester City.
The table looks like this after the Boxing Day matches. Chelsea is top dog with 42 points. Man U is second with 37 big ones. Arsenal and Aston Villa are third and fourth respectively with 35 points each. This could change when they battle each other on Sunday. Spurs are fifth with 34 points. City is in sixth place with 32 points.
This is it from the far side.
