Tottenham was sliced and diced by Real Madrid. The 4-0 thrashing administered by Real showed that Spurs are way in above their heads.

Sure, this sucker was close for about a minute.

Former Arsenal guy Emmanuel Adebayor ripped Tottenham’s “D” apart in the 4^th minute.

The rout was on.

Peter Crouch was given the heave-hoe in the 15^th minute but even with the robot man in there for Tottenham, Spurs was dead in the water anyway.

Only a miracle is going to save Tottenham at White Hart Lane on April 13^th.

The fake Ronaldo even found the back of the net in 87^th minute.

The real shocker was Schalke manhandling Internazional 5-2.

Internazionale is the defending Champions League Title holders.

Then fun one will be later today when bitter foes Chelsea and Man U square off at Stamford Bridge.

Except for a small blip in the 16^th minute Man City was in total control. City defeated Aston Villa 3-1.

This loss kills Villa’s chances of making it to the Champions League.

Villa drew first blood on a great counter attack. John Carew ripped the twines to give Villa the early 1-nil lead.

Man City kept up the pressure. The pressure finally got to Aston Villa when City’s Adam Johnson was taken down in the right side of the box.

Carlos Tevez powered the PK past Villa keeper Brad Friedel in the 41^st to tie this baby up at one all.

Fifteen seconds later Villa’s John Carew hit a perfect shot. It went clang off the cross bar.

City whamo bamo flies down the other end of the pitch. Emmanuel Adebayor hits a winner in the 43^rd minute to give City a huge 2-1 lead.

Villa tried to mount a comeback but Man City was too strong.

Craig Bellamy’s strike in the 89^th minute sealed the deal for City.

Tottenham kept pace by beating Bolton 1-0.

Tom Huddlestone hit for pay dirt in the 38^th minute for Spurs.

Tottenham hangs on the final Champions League with the win on Saturday.

Spurs have 67 points. City has 66.

With Villa losing, this drops them to sixth place with 64 points.

The final Champions League will probably come down to Spurs City’s match on Wednesday May 5^th.

At the other end of the spectrum, Burnley was given their walking papers.

Birmingham doubled up on The Clarets 2-1.

The mighty boys from Old Trafford had a chance to move to the top of the table in the EPL. But no, Man U stunk the joint out on the road in a nil-nil tie with Blackburn.

The Red Devils had at least ten chances to get the full three points.

Dimitar Berbatov was the main culprit. This sorry excuse for a striker missed three point blank shots on goal. Berbatov should join the mason for he is better at making bricks than goals.

This tie may have surely cost Man U a shot at the historic four peat.

You can sum up Man U’s performance in two words- you stink.

Nil-nil ties were the order of the day.

Liverpool had a chance to stay within striking distance of Man City but no the Reds blew it big time at home in Anfield. Liverpool and Fulham tied nil-nil.

Sure big time scorer Fernando Torres was absent but jeez give me a break will someone step to the plate and find the back of net.

Liverpool dominated play but what good does that do if you can’t hit pay dirt.

My Gunners escaped by the hair of their chinny chin-chin when Nicholas Bendtner knocked home the winner in the dying moments (90^th minute) of the match to lift Arsenal past a very scrappy Wolverhampton 1-0 at our house Emirates.

Bendtner’s goal saved our title chances.

If this baby ended in a tie, we could have kissed our title hopes bye-bye.

The shocker of the day was Sunderland taking it to Tottenham 3-1.

This was a classic ass kicking.

Before the Spurs could catch their breath, the Black Cats were up 2-nil.

Sunderland missed two gimmie PK’s by Darren Bent in the 41^st and 62^nd minutes.

It should have been 5-1.

But hey, this will do in a pinch for the Black Cats are hovering right around mid table.

This loss snapped Spurs five match winning streak.

Manchester City picked up a huge 6-1 win over Burnley.
