The Blues pulled a rabbit out of their hat. Chelsea took a 1-0 win over Barcelona in the first leg of their semifinal match up at Stamford Bridge. The Blues didn’t give up that all-important away goal to Barca.

Didier Drogba scored the only goal of the match in the 45^th minute. Drogba fired home the point blank shot. Super Messi screwed up big time.  His turnover allowed Frank Lampard to find Ramirez. Ramirez took it to the tin. Ramirez faked the shot and hit Drogba with a perfect pass. Into the back of the net for the score.

Game, set, and match for Chelsea.

Chelsea allowed Barcelona to have most of the possessions. But when Barca was within striking distance the Blues shut em down.

Pedro almost found the equalizer in the 93^rd minute but his shot went clank off the post.

The moronic pundits told us that this would be a walk in the park for the mighty Barcelona. Not on this day.

On Wednesday Real Madrid lost to Bayern Munich 2-1 at the German’s house.

The mighty boys from Spain are behind the eight ball.

Los Blancos have the all-important away goal when they head back to Madrid for the second leg.

I think it would be great if Bayern Munich and Chelsea made it to the finals. These guys would stick it big time to the two Spanish clubs.

Will this actually happen?

Probably not. Both Real and Barca should win at their collective houses in the second leg of the semifinals next week.

Sir Alex and the boys are on to the semifinals of the Champions League.  Man U doubled up Chelsea 2-1. It was 3-1 on aggregate but the mighty boys from Old Trafford were never in danger when a late strike by Didier Drogba in the 77^th minute made interesting. However the Park Ji-Sung goal a few seconds later in the 77^th minute put this sucker outta reach.

Once again, the combo of Ryan Giggs and John O’Shea set up Mexican super man Javier Hernandez in the 43^rd minute. Chicharito ripped the twines to give Man U a 1-0 lead late in the first half.

The Blues Ramirez was given his marching orders in the 70^th minute to give Sir Alex and the chargers a huge advantage.

Game, set, and match to Man U.

The dirty cheaters from Barca lost to Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk 1-0.

However lets get real Barca was never in trouble. Messi and his cheaters blew out the Ukrainian side 5-1 at Camp Nou.

The cheaters are on to the semifinals também.

Later today Tottenham battles Real Madrid at White Hart Lane and Schalke 04 takes on Internazionale on German soil.

The German side blew away the defending Champions League Title holder s 5-2 at their house in Italy.

Both Real and Schalke 04 should advance unless all hell breaks loose but don’t bet the house on it.

My guys from Arsenal put up a gallant fight but in the end, Chelsea proved to be too strong.

The Blues shut out the Gunners 2-0.

Drogba got first blood in the 39^th minute.

This was a classic futebol play.

Ramires hits Cole with a perfect pass. Cole lays off a beautiful diddy to Didier Drogba.

Drogba beats the helpless keeper Fabianski to make 1-0 Chelsea.

Instead of folding our tents, my guys from Arsenal pinned Chelsea in their own end for the first first fifteen minutes of the second half.

We had several great scoring chances but Arsenal couldn’t crack the code.

The Blues almost put this sucker away in the 60^th minute.

The guys fell asleep on the defensive end.

Off to races was Anelka.

Anelka had a naked keeper Fabianski.

Shot wide.

The dagger came in the 85^th minute.

The entire joint thought Drogba would take the free kick. Up steps Brasileiro Alex.

A long-range missile dialed up by Alex beat a helpless keeper Fabianski put this sucker on ice for the Blues.

We lose again to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal put up a good fight but Chelsea seized control of the match from the 70^th minute on.

After the Blues with stood the opening, second half barrage Chelsea had enough of this BS.

The Blues are unbeatable at home but on the road, they have a hard time.

This was a big win for Chelsea.

This was only our second loss of the season but this baby hurts real bad for we had a chance to close the gap on front runner Chelsea.

Instead, Arsenal is seven points off the pace.

This sucks big time.

The Seasiders stuck it to the Reds 2-1 at Anfield.

Maybe Blackpool is for real.

Man City took care of business at home beating Newcastle 2-1.

Tevez nailed a PK in the 18^th minute.

Jonas Gutierrez hit the equalizer in the 24^th minute.

Adam Johnson nailed the winner in the 75^th minute for City.

City is now in sole possession of third place with 13 points.

Chelsea is top dog with 18 points.

Man U is second with 14 points.

Arsenal is fourth place with 11.

Spurs are fifth with 11 but Tottenham’s goal difference is a plus two compared with the Gunners plus seven.

Finally, that waste of a striker Dimitar Berbatov did what he was paid to do. Score goals. Berbatov hit the hat trick to lead Man U past a stubborn Liverpool squad.

The Red Devils defeated the Reds 3-2.

This was a huge win for the mighty boys from Old Trafford.

A tie or a loss could have stuck a fork in Man U’s title hopes.

Man U was up to their old tricks again.

The Red Devils jumped to 2-0 lead before Steven Gerrard nailed a PK in the 64^th minute and then added a deft strike in the 70^th minute to level this sucker at two all.

Enter Dimitar Berbatov in the 84^th minute to save the day for Man U.

This is a very disturbing trend for Sir Alex and his boys.

The Red Devils have squandered three leads against Everton, Fulham, and Liverpool.

This baby almost bit them in the butt.

The last time Liverpool won the EPL was 1990.

The Reds are retooling.

This rebuilding effort may last for a while.

If Man U can get Wayne Rooney on track, the Red Devils will be a top-flight club instead of very good.

Man City picked a huge win 2-0 against Wigan.

The Lactics are in the shits.

Carlos Tevez and Yaya Toure ripped the twines for City.

Chelsea took care of business at Home-Stamford Bridge.

The Blues destroyed Blackpool 4-0. 

Florent Malouda hit for the daily double.

Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou tickled the twines too.

The Seasiders never had a chance.

This was Blackpool’s first loss of the season.

Chelsea is top dog with 15 points.

My guys from Arsenal are in the second spot with 11 points.

Manchester United is third with 11 but my Gunners have a plus 10 compared with the Red Devils plus seven goal difference.

Day one is the books for the EPL.

What have we learned?

Chelsea kicked ass in their 6-nil win over newly promoted West Brom.

So, what else is new?

Nada.

This result was entirely expected.

West Brom hung in there in the first half.

The Baggies were only down 2-0 at half before the floodgates opened in the second half.

Didier Drogba hit for the hat trick.

Mate Florent Malouda nailed the daily double.

Frank Lampard added a marker as well in this blow out city win.

Tottenham and Man City fought to a nil-nil draw.

Spurs had the best of it but Tottenham couldn’t crack the code.

This tie could cost them in the long run.

Newly promoted Blackpool pulled the upset special.

The Seasiders shut out Wigan 4-0.

Blackpool last played in the EPL 39 years ago.

1971 was the exact year.

Congrats, to the Seasiders in their first EPL win in many a moon.

Blackburn Rovers defeated Everton 1-0.

Tim Howard’s gaffe in the 14^th minute gave the Rovers their needed margin of victory.

Howard came off his line. Instead of grabbing the ball, he knocked the ball to Blackburn’s Nikola Kalinic who deposited the gift into the back of the net.

Game, set, and match to the Rovers.

How much did Howard’s playing in the USA friendly against Brasil on Wednesday hurt him?

Stop this stupid friendly crap after the World Cup is done so players can get ready for the EPL.

This is the match I have been waiting for Brasil- Ivory Coast.

Game on.

I love it.

So far, we have a tightly played contest.

Brasil hit for pay dirt in the in the 25^th minute. Luis Fabiano fought his way thru the tough Ivory Coast “D”.

He roofed a tight angled right side shot to give us 1-0 lead.

Kaka had his hand in the play with a great back heel pass to set up the winner.

Brasil has now seized the match by the throat.

Ivory Coast is still dangerous with Didier Drogba on the pitch.

This cat can change the scope of the match in a heartbeat.

Except for free kick, Drogba has been MIA.

This is not good for the Ivory Coast.

So far so good, for we are up 1-nil.

From the 35^th to the 37^th minute, the Ivory Coast has had three good attacks on goal. Zippo nada is the result.

We are half and we have the result we wanted a 1-0 lead.

We are in the money. Fabiano took it straight to the rack and beat three Ivory Coast defenders to make 2-0 Brasil in the 50^th minute.

A great long ball by mate Julio Cesar set this up.

Drogba had a great header on goal in the 54^th minute. His shot skidded across the goalmouth.

This was s close call.

Kaka took a free kick down the left side of the pitch. He set it up with a great crossover dribble.

Elano broke to the center of the box.

Kaka fired a great diagonal pass to mate Elano.

Elano had the easy tap in goal to make 3-0 nil Brasil.

Drogba scored for the Ivory Coast on a break away header in the 79^th minute.

This was set up by a defensive lapse by Brasil.

Robinho stopped a for sure goal a few moments earlier.

This led directly to the Didier Drogba goal.

Now you see what I mean about how dangerous Drogba is.

It is 3-1 Brasil.

Kaka was given the heave-hoe after his second yellow card.

The Ivory Coast player deliberately ran into his elbow.

The guy’s a flopper.

This sucks big time.

Brasil was given the raw end of the deal.

Yet read the scoreboard fools.

You lost sucker.

Brasil is on to the next round.

Kaka will miss the final Group stage match against Portugal.

Kaka played great.

New Zealand pulled off a huge upset by tying the defending World Cup champs Italy one all.

Italy is playing like crap.

Paraguay shut out Slovenia 2-0.

Paraguay is in the pole position in Group F with four points. Italy and New Zealand are tied for second with two points each.

Pompey fought the gallant fight but in the end Chelsea’s superior firepower, won the FA Cup in a thrilling 1-0 win.

Chelsea had the most scoring chances but the Blues couldn’t pull the trigger until Didier Drogba’s deadly free kick from twenty yards out was squeezed between Portsmouth keepers David James out stretched hand the right post in the 59^th minute.

Prior to Drogba’s deadly strike Pompey had a golden chance to spin the match on its head but Kevin-Prince-Boateng’s PK was stone cold stopped by Blues keeper Petr Cech in the 56^th minute.

Wham bam just like that in a span of three minutes the match was twisted on its ear and the Blues stuck a fork in Pompey’s dream of winning the FA Cup.

Portsmouth is broke and given the heave-hoe all in one season, yet this was a glorious run by the foreclosed side.

The money made from reaching the FA Cup might help the bankrupt Pompey.

Frank Lampard had a chance to increase the Blues lead in the 89^th minute but Portsmouth keeper David James said “No way Jose” and shut em down.

All in all Chelsea was in complete control of the match from beginning to end.

The Blues achieved the daily double winning the EPL and FA Cup titles.

Trust me when I say this Chelsea is heading down the backside of forty. This means Drogba and the boys are getting older. Their window of opportunity is rapidly closing.

They need to bring in younger players to replace the fading stars.

The “Special One” Jose Mourinho brought Drogba and the rest in but the management has not found replacements for them.

Mourinho is good a winning titles with other peoples talent but his ability to build a championship squad stinks.

This is not Mourinho’s strong suit.

Man U had a down year by their standards but remember the Red Devils lost the fake Ronaldo and few other players. The mighty boys from Old Trafford played a very young squad.

Watch out EPL!

My guys from Arsenal are in the same boat. We were besieged by injuries. Younger guys such as Aaron Ramsey, Theo Walcott, and Carlos Vela were asked to step in big time to replace RVP and Cesc Fabregas who were hit by the injury bug.

My Gunners will be ready next year to win the title as well.

Flamengo battles Vitoria later today.

Lets hope Rubro-Negro doesn’t stink the joint out on the road in Salvador.

What did I tell ya. Sure, it came to the final week of the season before Chelsea was crowned champ.

We all knew when the Blues beat Liverpool the title was theirs.

Chelsea killed Wigan 8-0.

Man U ended the season in second place one point shy of top dog Chelsea.

The mighty boys from Old Trafford clobbered Stoke City 4-0.

My guys from Arsenal finally did it. We won big time over Fulham 4-0 to secure third place for us.

Tottenham took the foot off the pedal and lost to Burnley 4-2. Spurs took a commanding 2-0 lead but couldn’t hold on to the lead.

The Clarets are heading down but they shocked Tottenham by scoring the final four goals of the match.

This was a huge win for the heave-hoe Clarets.

Headed outta here are Portsmouth, Hull City and Burnley.

Chelsea stopped Man U from a historic four-peat. This keeps in tack the fact that no EPL side has won four straight titles.

The Blues had 86 points.

Man U had 85.

The difference the mighty boys from Old Trafford has one more home loss than the Blues.

Chelsea had one home loss. Man U had two.

The Blues had one more road tie than Manchester United.

Chelsea had four. Man U had three.

Wayne Rooney and Didier Drogba both tied for most goals with 26.

The final curtain comes down on another EPL season.

Chelsea won the title but the Blues need to find younger players for their older stars.

The Blues window for more titles is slowly winding down.

Both Man U and my guys from Arsenal should be favorites to win next years title.

The surprise of the season was Tottenham clinching the fourth spot in the Champions League.

Most folks thought it would be either Arsenal or Liverpool.

The biggest stink job of the season Liverpool.

The wheels completely came off the wagon.

The Reds finished seventh with 63 points.

Liverpool had eleven losses on the season.

The title for the most money spent with nothing to show for it goes to Man City.

The crybaby award goes to Carlos Tevez.

Tevez left Man U to City for a fat paycheck.

Now he is crying the blues.

The Carlos man has no title to show for his fat wallet.

He wants outta here.

Sir Alex knew what he was doing when he gave Tevez the voce vai.

Chelsea has pretty much wrapped up the EPL title today with a resounding 2-0 win over Liverpool.

The Reds played like crap.

Steven Gerrard stupid backwards pass in the 33^rd minute sealed the Reds fate.

Didier Drogba took the gift and scored what was essentially the match winner.

Frank Lampard added the seal of approval in the 53^rd minute.

The title is the Blues unless something really crazy happens next Sunday at Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool was not going to give the title to the hated guys from Old Trafford.

Revenge is sweet.

The Reds gave the title to the Blues instead.

Nani scored the only goal of the match in the 28^th minute.

This win still gives Man U glimmer of hope for a historic four-peat.

I wouldn’t bet the farm on it.

Dimitar Berbatov wasted three great scoring chances. This guy stinks to high heaven.

The surprise of the match was this. Wayne Rooney played. I didn’t think this would happen.

The Rooney man manned up and played.

It all comes down to Sunday May 9^th.

All Chelsea has to do is beat Wigan at Stamford Bridge.

Wigan will not, I repeat will not beat Chelsea.

Man U needs beat Stoke City at Old Trafford and hope the Blues lose.

The Hammers may have saved their season. Yes, sir re Bob West Ham came away with a huge 1-0 win over Sunderland.

Brasilian striker Aruajo Ilan ripped the twines in the 51^st minute for the only tally of the match.

Ilan was inserted into the lineup last week against Everton. His goal earned the Hammers a much needed one all tie with the Toffees.

That goal earned Ilan a staring role. He responded with the match winner.

The win lifted the Hammers into 16^th place with 31 points.

Burnley ripped Hull City 4-1.

The win enabled the Clarets to pull even with the Tigers.

Both sides have 27 points apiece.

Hull City opened up the match with a nifty goal by Kevin Kilbane in the 3^rd minute.

The Clarets responded by scoring the next four goals to win going away 4-1.

Burnley’s Graham Alexander hit for the daily double via the PK route in the 65^th and 70^th minute.

Even though the Tigers lost, they have a game in hand. This game in hand will surely come into play.

So, what else is new. Chelsea ripped Aston Villa 3-0 in semifinals of the FA Cup.

Didier Drogba, Florent  Malouda, and Frank Lampard rammed the twines to lead the Blues in the massacre of Villa.

The more things change the more they stay the same.

Chelsea will have an FA Cup Finals date with either Tottenham or Portsmouth. The Spurs and Pompey will play on Sunday.

The bad news for Portsmouth is this. Pompey was given their walking papers from the EPL.
