This was one of those classic blowouts. Arsenal flat out took it to Blackpool 6-0. Theo Walcott pulled a hat trick out of his hat.

Finally, Walcott lights up the twines.

Diaby, Arshavin, Marouane Chamakh each added their names to the score sheet.

About time guys.

Emirates is very good to us Gunners.

This was a kick ass win.

You gotta love it.

I sure do.

Blackpool came crashing down to earth after the Seasiders huge win over Wigan last Saturday.

Blackpool will probably get sent packing at the end of the season.

Arsene Wenger decided to rest super stars Cesc Fabregas and Robin Van Persie.

Smart move on Wenger’s part.

The young guns are coming along quite nicely thank you.

Spurs are finding life hard at the top of the table.

Tottenham pulled out a 2-1 win over Stoke City.

Gareth Bale hit for the daily double.

Bolton chewed up West Ham 3-1.

West Brom stopped Sunderland 1-0.

Everton and Wolverhampton tied one all.

The Toffees are stumbling out of the gate.

Everton has one draw and one loss.

This is not good.

Chelsea kicked some major butt in a blow city 6-0 shut out of win over helpless and hapless Wigan.

Nicholas Anelka and Salomon Kalou each hit for the daily double.

The Blues looked good in their first two matches against inferior sides. Lets see what happens when Chelsea gets into the meat of their schedule.

The Blues may win the whole enchilada this year but they are on the downhill side of forty.

It is only two months into the 2010 futebol campaign for Sao Paulo. Tricolor has lots of problems and if they continue to play this way Sao Paulo will indeed have a very long year.

Rogerio Ceni recorded first blood for Sao Paulo. He nailed a screamer into the wall. Bing bam boom the shot comes flying off the wall into the back of the net. Once Caldas keeper Luis Martinez never had a chance to stop this sucker.

This made it 1-0 for Sao Paulo in the 33rd minute.

With this goal, Ceni becomes Sao Paulo’s all time leading scorer with eleven goals in the Copa Libertadores.

Then the wheels fell off the wagon for Sao Paulo.

Once Caldas ratcheted up the pressure.

Once Caldas tied this baby up in the 49th minute. Uribe flat out beat Tricolor defender Xandao. Wham bam boom, back of the net for Uribe and we are even at one all.

Once Caldas took the lead when Moreno ran rings around the Sao Paulo “D”. He ripped the twines in the 71st minute to give Once Caldas a 2-1 lead.

This was all she wrote.

Stick a fork in Sao Paulo for they are surely done.

Once Caldas has six points after two matches. Sao Paulo has three points.

For the past few weeks, Sao Paulo has been playing horrible futebol. Sure, Tricolor is in second placed in Group Two but Sao Paulo has dropped two straight matches.

Sao Paulo has lost to Portuguesa, Palmeiras, and Santos in the Campeonato Paulista.

Tricolor is currently in sixth place with 17 points. Tricolor trails Torneo Paulista leader Santos by eight points.

Lets shift gears for a moment. We have two huge matches on Saturday in the EPL.

The biggie is Chelsea and Manchester City at Stamford Bridge. City is coming off a hard loss to Stoke City in the fifth round of the FA Cup.

The Blues lost to Inter 2-1. This was a hard fought tangle between the Blues and Inter in the first stage of the Champions League knockout round.

Both goals given up by Chelsea were bitter pills to swallow for the Blues. Jose Mourinho Inter’s headman is the former Blues boss who took them to EPL glory.

Will this disappointment bite Chelsea in the butt?

We will find out.

The Blues are unbeaten at home and have only been scored on eight times by the opposition at Stamford Bridge.

Goals will hard to come by for City.

Manchester City will have Carlos Tevez. This should provide an offensive spark for City.

The Blues will be without Petr Cech, torn calf muscle, and Ashley Cole, broken ankle.

I can’t wait to see who dictates the match.

Will it be Tevez or Drogba?

You can sure bet there will be a ton of fireworks on the pitch with these two very intense players battling it out.

We have a huge match with Stoke City at Britannia Stadium on Saturday. The Gunners will have the services of Eduardo available however; we will be without Gallas, Diaby, and Arshavin. This could hurt us deeply if we are not careful.

Fabregas and the guys need to come through big time.

Road wins are a premium in the EPL.

We need to win this baby.

Three points are a must.

When the dust finally settles on Saturday we will have a clearer picture of how the race shaped up for the title run.

Man U has already won.

The pressure is squarely on Chelsea and Arsenal to keep up pace.

All we need is for Chelsea to have a brain fart and lose at home and we’re in like Flynn.

De Futebol

We have some huge fixtures on Saturday and Sunday in the EPL. Manchester United and Everton battle each other in Everton’s house Elwood Park.

The Red Devils are a scant one point behind league leaders Chelsea. Rooney and the guys need to come out breathing fire. In Man U’s last five road games, they have two wins, two draws, and one loss.

Man U has struggled on the road. The Red Devils are coming off a road tie with Aston Villa. This road match will be a key test to see if the Red Devils can become the first EPL team to get a four peat.

Rooney, Berbatov, and Anderson need to attack and create a ton of scoring chances. Rio Ferdinand and Nani will not play due to suspensions.

Without Rio and Nani Man U could pull a Keystone Cops routine on the defensive end of the pitch

With Giggs out due to a broken forearm this will hurt Man U a lot. How much? This depends on Berbatov.

The Toffees will be missing one of their key players too. Midfielder Tim Cahill will be out at least three weeks with a pulled calf muscle.

We have a huge match against Sunderland at Emirates on Saturday. Let’s hope we put the fiasco of what happened in Portugal behind us.

I hope someone slapped Fabianski upside the head for his stupid and dumb play in net against Porto on Wednesday.

This bum Fabianski needs to wake up and make sure he doesn’t play stupid in goal if Arsenal is forced to use this clown in goal if Almunia is not ready to go.

Both Diaby and Gallas will be out. This is going to kill us but I am sure the return of Alex Song will help.

God please don’t let us pull another Rocky Horror Picture Show at home.

The Gunners need to take care of business at home.

Arsenal needs to take names and kick butt.

Fabregas and the guys need to torch the twines.

Chelsea has a road trip to Wolverhampton. Chelsea has a habit of losing on the road. The Blues are coming off a huge road loss to Everton. Wolves are not that good. In plain English, they stink big time.

Let’s hope the Blues have a brain fart and lose big time.

Over the past few weeks, the big boys have stubbed their toes big time on the road.

The EPL winner will have the best road record.

Chelsea is 6-3-4 on the road. Man U is 7-2-4. Arsenal is 6-3-4.

Last year Chelsea, Man U, and Arsenal had a combined nine total road losses.  Right now, they have a combined twelve losses with 12 matches left in the season.

They key is hold serve at home and win at least 55 to 60% of your road matches.

When the dust settles the EPL title race will come more into focus.

Even when I make jokes, I get it right. Who would have thunk it.  I said what is the worse thing that could happen to Manchester United was a loss to Fulham. Well guess what? The mighty boys from Old Trafford got their butts whipped by Fulham 3-0.

This was a classic massacre or if you would like to say a take me to the woodshed butt whopping.

Take a look at my sponsors Sports Memorabilia, Luci Now Com-E cigarettes, and the Sports Authority- the nation’s preeminent full-line sporting goods chain. Shop online or in-store for your favorite brands – Nike, Under Armour, The North Face, Bowflex, Schwinn, Lifetime and more.

This was one of those oh, excuse me, we have a ton of injuries what do you expect me to do?  Win. At least put up a fight and show some heart.

This was bad folks.

The Cottagers just flat at took to the mighty Red Devils and kicked some major butt. This is about all you can say about the match.

Danny Murphy led off the slaughter with a wicked shot that beat the keeper Kuszczak in the 22nd minute to give Fulham the 1-0 lead.

The rout was on baby.

Bobby Zamora found the back of the net in the 46th minute to give the Cottagers a 2-0 lead.

In the 75th minute, Damien Duff ripped the winner to put the finishing touches on a huge masterful killing of the boys from Old Trafford.

Manchester United played like crap.

I haven’t seen this bad of a performance from a Man U squad in years.

There is heap big trouble in Manchester United land.

Way to go garoto to the guys at Fulham.

I just love this stuff.

Dogs ruled on this day.

Before you cats go nuts on me, let me explain. Yes, I am a fan of Manchester United. A fan is correct but not a fanatic.  I root for the Red Devils. I am partial to them but I don’t live and die with their fortunes on the pitch.

My heart is in Brasil. I am a die hard Flamenguista. I am also a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan. The NFL baby.

I also have a very found spot in my heart for Arsenal.

My wife thinks I am a nut, which I am. I do have the papers to prove it.

I became a Gunners fan when I saw the movie Fever Pitch starring Colin Firth.

I have seen Fever Pitch ten times.

Oh, guess what I saw at Emirates. The Philly fanatic dressed in a Gunners uniform was whipping up the crowd into a fever pitch.

The Philly fanatic is the Philadelphia Phillies team mascot.

I am a huge futebol fan but what floats my boat is Jesus. Without Him, I am a dead man.  I am a messianic Jew.

Tottenham didn’t suffer a let up against Blackburn. Spurs beat em 2-0.

Peter Crouch hit the daily double to lead the Spurs to an impressive win.

The Rovers had a golden chance at the outset of the match to grab the early lead but the shot clanged off the cross bar.

Whew was that close.

Two back-to-back good performances by Spurs have put them back into the title hunt.

Aston Villa held serve in their 1-0 win over Stoke City.

John Crew scored the match winner in the 61st minute. This goal saved Villa’s hide. This was a total lackluster performance by Aston Villa.

Maybe Bobby Darin’s Dream Lover might best describe the way Villa played on this day.

Still a win is a win and this is all that counts.

Liverpool lost to lowly Portsmouth 2-0. The Reds are dead.

Rafa will get sacked.

Liverpool has quit playing.

I have seen this before.

The players will not play for Rafa anymore.

Rafa needs to go.

After a close, first half the Gunners turned on the Afro burners and kicked some booty killing Hull City 3-0.

The first match changer was this. There was a near bitch-slapping brawl between several Arsenal and Hull City players near the end of the first half.

There was a lot of huffing and puffing signifying nothing. I wish futebol players would learn how to fight.

A few moments later Brasilian Denilson rifled home a great free kick in the 45th minute to make 1-0 Arsenal at the break.

His shot flat out made the keeper Boaz Myhill look really silly. Denilson’s shot was a ball buster.

This was turning point number two in the match. Hull City had a chance for the equalizer when Gunner defender Silvestre knocked down Craig Fagan in the 56th minute. Up steps Geovanni for Hull City. The run up. The shot. The diving save by Almunia. The header by Hunt off the rebound. Almunia gobbles the ball. Whew was that sucker close.

The Gunners kicked it into high gear.

Eduardo finally got in the scorebook in the 59th minute. This gave the Gunners a 2-0 lead.

This was a great example of how short passes in the box ate up the Hull City “D”.

The ball was on the wing. A great entry pass into Diaby. Diaby passed up the shot and hit Eduardo. Eduardo was standing at the goals doorstep. A simple poke into the net finished up the play.

A great give and go from Arshavin and Diaby cooked Hull City’s goose in the 80th minute. All Diaby had to do was deposit the gift into the back of the net.

This was all she wrote.

This win by Arsenal squarely puts a ton of pressure on Chelsea to beat lowly West Ham. Will the dogs rule on Sunday?

We will find out.

The table shapes up this way. Chelsea is the top dog with 40 points. Manchester United hangs on to second place with 37 points. Arsenal is third with 35 points. Aston Villa is fourth with 35 points. Arsenal has a better goal difference than Villa. The Gunners are plus 13 while Villa is only a plus 8. Spurs are in fifth place with 33.

Let fun and games begin.

I love it.
