My Gunners once again found a way to screw up a wet dream. Arsenal snatched a draw from the jaws of victory. Leading from the 42nd minute until 88th minute it sure looked like we would get outta Germany with a win.

Robin Van Persie ripped the twines in the 42nd minute to give us a 1-0 lead.

Mate Theo Walcott thread the needle past the “D” to RVP who slotted this sucker past the keeper.

But guess what folks a goal by Borussia Dortmund leveled this sucker at one all in the 88th minute.

This puppy was set up by my guys failing to clear a free kick. Ivan Perisic one timed the volley into the back of the net.

Game, set, and tie to Arsenal.

Once again our “D” and lack of offense was exposed.

This crap could wind up making this a long season for Gunner nation.

The stat sheet showed this.

The Gunners were out shot 22-9. Borussia had six on target while Arsenal had two.

Dortmund had 57% of the possession while our guys had 43%.

Translate this in football lingo our “D’ was on field for most of the match.

This is not good.

At least we came away with a tie but this trend is disturbing.

In real world terms this sucks big time.

Chelsea defeated Bayern Leverkusen 2-0.

Barca gave up a late goal to AC Milan’s Thiago Silva in the 92nd minute.

This allowed the Italians to tie the Catalans two all.

This is not good garoto.

The Champions will always have a bull’s eye on their backs.

The fun has begun in the Champions League.

Finally my guys from Arsenal played with heart and character. My Gunners picked up a huge 3-1 win over Udinese to advance to the group stage of the Champions League on a 3-1 aggregate.

Sure Udinese scored a goal in the 39th minute however the guys came out breathing fire in the second half and took the match by the throat.

Robin Van Persie scored in the 59th minute.

RVP nailed home winner off a dribble drive by Gervinho on the left byline. Gervinho flicks the ball on net. Robin Van Persie deposits this sucker into the back of the net.

This makes it one all.

Arsenal now has the lead on the away goal advantage 1-0.

The match changer happened three minutes later when the ref called a handball on the Gunners Vermaelen in the box.

Up steps Udinese’s Di Natale. Keeper Szczesny stares him down.

The run up. The shot to the top left shelf. Szczesny dives. He lifts his left paw and safety flips the ball over cross bar.

Game, set, and match to Arsenal.

This save by the young keeper was the difference in the match. If Udinese had scored this would have completely changed the complexion of the match.

Arsenal had gained the big MO.

The Gunners would have been dead in the water if Di Natale didn’t do the choke city.

Instead this puppy stayed tied on all until Theo Walcott scored in the 69th minute.

Walcott showed why he is one of the up and coming young studs in English futebol.

He created this goal off a one on two situation.

Think Michael Jordan or George “The Ice Man’ Gervin for all you hoops fans.

This win was a biggie for my Gunners.

If we would have lost you could have stuck a fork in our season.

Up next is Man U at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Finally Gunner land has something to cheer about.

Way to go garoto.

My Gunners escaped by the hair of their chinny chinny chin. This is not good garoto.

Arsenal defeated Udinese 1-0.

The only tally of the match came in the fourth minute.

A beautiful dribble drive up the right side line by the Gunners Aaron Ramsey set up this goal.

Ramsey took it to the right post. He fired a centering pass to the goalmouth. Theo Walcott slipped the ball in to the back of the net.

Arsenal defense is very shaky

Bianconeri had at least four really good chances to level this sucker up and take the lead but the crossbar and some great saves by keeper Wojciech Szczesny saved the Gunners bacon.

Arsenal is up 1-0 after the first leg.

The second leg will be played at Udinese’s house in Italy.

If we can’t hold serve and win this sucker this will be Arsenal’s first time not making the Champions League Group play in at least 15 years.

I have this strong sense that my Gunners will struggle big time this year.

With Cesc Fabregas gone packing to Barcelona and Samri Nasri has one foot out the door the Gunners will have a hard time on the offensive end.

Defense has always been a liability and this year is no exception.

This will be a down year for my Gunners.

All the signs point to it.

It is time for Wenger to go.

Man City is for real.

The Citizens destroyed Swansea City 4-0 in EPL play on Monday night.

City sliced and diced their way through the Swans “D”.

New signee Sergio Aguero hit the daily double.

David Silva and Dzeko ripped the twines as well.

This years EPL title chase will be a horse race.

This is it folks. Two weeks and the EPL season begin.

On Sunday August 7th the Community Shield will feature EPL champs Man U verses cross-town and hated rival Man City winners of the FA Cup.

This sucker will be an old fashioned barnburner.

Sir Alex and the boys defeated Barcelona 2-1 in the World Football Challenge  played in Landover, Maryland.

The Catalans didn’t play Messi and some of their top players but Barca displayed why they will be a force to be reckoned with in Spain and the Champions League.

Man U improved on the defensive end of the pitch.

Barca put a tone of pressure on the Red Devil “D”.

The Catalans only cracked the code once.

Man U has a deadly counter attack.

Nani is cat quick.

He just glides down the pitch.

Rooney played like Rooney.

Goals by Nani and Michael Owen paved the way for the Red Devils win.

Thiago scored for the Catalans in the 70th minute.

City won the Dublin Super Cup.

Man City destroyed both their opponents Airtricity 3-0 and Inter Milan 3-0.

City is for real folks.

Chelsea won the Asia Cup.

The Blues beat EPL rival Aston Villa 2-1.

My Gunners are in a world of hurt.

Once again the stupid defending rose up and bit us in the ass.

After Robin Van Persie scored 42nd minute to give us a 1-0 lead.

I thought great.

Then the wizards of stupid took over for Arsenal.

An own goal by Kyle Barton 84th minute gave of all clubs the MLS  side the New York Red Bulls the Emirates Cup.

The Red Bulls defeated French side Paris St. Germain 1-0 on Saturday.

This sucks big time.

The Gunner nation could be in for a long hard assed season of heartbreak.

Wenger had this to say about the Arsenal’s crappy performance- It was a bit frustrating that it was only forwards against defence. They played very deep and didn’t come out. But it’s part of the game. I felt we looked quite stable as long as we were not making any disturbances in our organisation. The final 20 minutes were a bit like yesterday, you could see the continuity in our game went. Overall, I am very happy with the two days because we were confronted with two teams who were very committed, very physical and very strong defensively. We were tested. On both days, we played very well for an hour. We have nothing more to offer at the moment. Hopefully that will change in the next two weeks.

Arsene Wenger added this about Vermaelen and Koscielny-I felt the two centre backs were very good, in my opinion, and played very well. I am quite happy with the performance of the centre backs. If you look at the goal we conceded today, I don’t think it comes from the centre backs.

Asked about this results tells us – I don’t think you can compare friendly games. They played in the final third today. We weren’t playing in the championship where you have to win games. It’s not the same. Today they just had to keep it tight at the back and wait for their chances. They did very well but when you go into your championship and you are expected to make the game, to take the initiative, it becomes a different game.

Jack Wilshire was hurt in the puppy- It is not very serious. They say he might be out for the whole of next week because he has an ankle inflammation. But he has not torn anything. He is a quick healer usually and a tough boy so I hope he will be quicker than the medical predictions. The England game is on August 10 and I don’t know [whether he will be available]. They told me he might be out next week. If he is out next week, he will not play against Benfica so he will certainly not play for England.

All of this BS is fine and dandy in coach speak. In the real world it is bupkis- não serve para nada.

This is pure bull crap.

Gunner nation has heard all of this before.

It is SOS – Same old shit.

Wenger needs to go.

Arsenal has the same problems it did last year and the year before that and the year before that.

Need I say more.

I am tired of this garbage.

A change is needed at the top.

This is pure insanity.

Insanity means doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results.

The Gunners are nuts.

Uruguay has booked their spot in the Copa America finals.

Charruas defeated Peru 2-0.

La Blanquirroja put up a hell of flight but Peru couldn’t crack the code.

Luis Suarez led the way with the daily double.

His mate Diego Forlan set up the first puppy in the 53rd minute.

Forlan fired a rocket into the teeth of the goal. Keeper Raul Fernandez stopped the first volley.  Shot. Save. Rebound. Score off the boards by Suarez.

Peruvian Juan Vargas was given the early showers in the 68th minute.

La Blanquirroja played a very dirty game.

Peru was going after the Uruguay players with the intent to do bodily harm.

I was pulling for Peru but I can’t stand dirty futebol.

This cheap dirty play has no place in the game.

Uruguay is going after the 15th Copa title. If Charruas wins they will leap frog over Argentina.

Argentinos has fourteen titles tambem.

Charruas coach Oscar Tabarez was asked about taking his star player out in the second half- “It is one thing with Suarez, it is another without him in the final,” Tabarez said. “He (Suarez) is a great forward, an elite player among forwards in the world. … He often determines the outcome as he did today.”

Sergio Markarian, who was born in Uruguay, took over Peru’s team a year ago and has improved it quickly.

“We played in this tournament against teams that had almost 100 percent of their players playing abroad,” Markarian said. “You could tell in their experience, sense of how to play the match. … But we are working hard to get better.”

Suarez plays for Liverpool had this to say after the match- “The first half was tough because we knew Peru would be very defensive,” Liverpool striker Suarez said. “We had to try to take advantage of some chance to score. The goal in the first few minutes was a big blow to Peru.”

Peru coach Sergio Markarian, born in Uruguay had this to say about quick improvement since he took over a year- “We played in this tournament against teams that had almost 100 percent of their players playing abroad. You could tell in their experience, sense of how to play the match. … But we are working hard to get better.”

On Wednesday night Paraguay will battle Venezuela to see whom books the other spot in the final that will be held on Sunday in Argentina.

The USA defeated Canada 2-0 in-group play in the CONCACAF tournament.

Tim Howard shut em out.

At one point late in the second half it looked like Howard was the only defender the USA had.

Tim Howard is the only world-class player the USA has.

This shows in a span of three minutes why Howard is one of the elite keepers in the world.

He stopped a point blank shot with his legs.

Howard got up and blocked another shot.

Then he had the presence of mind to run back to his line and stop another point blank shot with his hands.

The ball should have been resting in the back of the net.

Tim Howard is the USA’s only saving grace.

Clint Dempsey is a notch below Howard.

Dempsey had a goal in the 61st minute.

Dempsey’s sliding foot flick into the back of the net put this sucker out of  reach for our neighbors from up north.

Jozy Altidore ripped the twines in the 15th minute to give the USA the early lead.

This was a good win.

If the USA is to take the next step up the ladder we must play better “D”.

Landon Donovan is not the best player in the USA.

Our players are severely lacking in the fundamentals of the game.

What I mean by this statement is Donovan etal don’t know how to make crisp passes. Donovan, Michael Bradley, and Maurice Edu passes are either behind the player or way to far in front of the player making an attack in the offensive end of the pitch.

The team does not know how to create a build up to create scoring chances.

To understand what I am talking about watch either Real Madrid, Man U, the Brasil, Argentina, Spanish national teams.

Sure these folks have world-class players.

Not just a few but they have at  least five or six world class players on their collective squads.

Sure we have quite a few players who play in Europe but only Tim Howard and Clint Dempsey are starters. This means we are sorely lacking in talent.

The USA can compete at the CONCACAF level and the North American zone however at the world level we will occasionally pull the upset or keep it close.

Tim Howard can only save us so long. Usually he finds himself one on one with attacking players. This happens about sixty percent of the time. In the end this will result in goal after goal.

Howard is only human.

Most of the time The USA will stink the joint out against the world’s best.

The USA is lacking in real players.

This is due to the fact that our best athletes play either football or basketball.

Until this changes the USA will be a second rate team.

The Copa Libertadores finals are set. Santos battles Penarol for the Copa title.

Penarol scored the lone away goal in this sucker to advance into finals past favorite Velez Sarsfield.

El Fortin won 2-1 at home but lost on away goals 1-0. The aggregate was tied at two all.

The death strike came in the 33rd minute.

Matias Mier nailed the winner with a great dribble into the box.

His shot flat out beat the keeper top shelf right.

Mate Alejandro Martinuccio set this puppy up with a great pass.

Velez Sarsfield had a chance to advance with a gift PK in the 75th minute.

Up steps, El Fortin’s Santiago Silva. He wore the choke collar big time.

Silva spilt the uprights.

Big time miss.

Choke City baby.

Game, set, and a trip to the Copa Libertadores finals for the Manyas.

Penarol is one of the most successful futebol clubs in Uruguayan history.

The Manyas have won five Copa Libertadores. The last title came in 1987.

Santos last won the Copa in 1962.

Peixe made the Copa finals in 2003 but lost to Boca Juniors.

This should be a classic battle.

Santos takes a little trip to Assuncao, Paraguay tonight to battle Cerro Porteno in the second leg of the Copa Libertadores semifinals.

Santos won at their house 1-0.

The Paraguayan side needs to hold serve and win 2-0 to advance to the Copa finals.

Peixe needs to score at least one goal and hold Cerro Porteno side goalless or flat out win by one goal to advance.

Santos has one of the best up and coming young talents in Neymar.

Neymar has sides from the EPL, Spain, and Italy bidding for his talents.

If Peixe wins tonight, they will have two more matches left in the Copa competition.

The Serie A just started two weeks ago so Santos will not have an insane schedule.

Is Cerro Porteno unbeatable at home?

Santos thinks otherwise.

Neymar could be the key to a Peixe victory.

This cat is a match changer.

Neymar’s running mate Ze Eduardo has scored ten goals in the Copa competition.

Another European futebol season is in the books. Man U won the EPL. This gives Sir Alex and the boys a record 19 titles.

Both Man U and Liverpool shared the record for most English division one crowns at 18.

Man U made to the Champions League finals the last three out of four years.

The mighty boys from Old Trafford won one and lost twice.

In 2009 and 2011, the Red Devils lost to the cheaters from Barcelona.

The Catalans have one of the best sides on the planet. Barca made Sir Alex and his chargers look like mere mortals.

When the Catalans won the 2009 title, they had a huge Bullseye on their backs.

They crashed and burned in the quarterfinals in 2009.

Will this happen in 2012 competition?

We will surely find out.

Don’t call me Shirley.

Have you ever seen a grown man naked?

Have you ever seen a grown man cry?

Barcelona has one of the best players in the world Lionel Messi.

Messi has performed very well in the league play and the Champions League.

Messi needs now to play lights out on the world stage- The World Cup.

Messi isn’t a Pele.

Close but no cigar.

Pele burst onto the world futebol stage in the 1958 World Cup.

All this cat did was have a hat trick in the semifinals.

Pele then turned around nailed a daily double leading Brasil to the world crown.

Pele was 18 years old.

Will Messi reach Pele’s heights?

Only if he can play lights out and lead Argentinos to the title.

Argentina has a top-notch squad.

Messi, Tevez, Martin Palermo, Juan Riquelme, and Maxi Rodriguez are just some of the world-class players Argentinos has.

In the Clausura Godoy Cruz and Gimnasia tied two all.

Tomba has now fallen to third place.

Top dog is Velez Sarsfield with 30 points.

Second place is Lanus is 29 points.

Godoy is third with 28.

What did you expect? Chopped liver. Barca is the best side in the world. Man U sorta put up a fight when Rooney dialed up a bomb in the 34th minute but it was too little too late.

The cheaters from Barca won 3-1.

What did I tell ya?

The Catalans had way too much power.

Barcelona’s three-headed monster of Messi, Villa, and Pedro was too much for Sir Alex and the boys.

Man U hung in there as long as they could.

The Catalans struck first in the 27th minute. Pedro flat out beat Van Der Sar short shelf right.

Van Der Sar never had a chance.

Rooney nailed the equalizer in the 34th minute.

Messi faked right went left. He stopped and popped a laser in the 54th minute to give the cheaters from Barca 2-1.

Villa added the final nail in the coffin in the 69th minute.

Game, set, and match to The Catalans.

The final score was closer than the match actually was.

Barca sliced and diced their way through the Man U “D” with ease.

What bugs me is this.

What in the name of Hades, is Fox using the idiots Eric Wynalda, Brad Friedel, and Curt Menefee?

This folks are clowns.

Then using Michael Strahan as a futebol expert? Are you Nuts? Give me a freakin break.

This must have a joke.

Not.

Barca made Sir Alex and his boys look like schoolboys.
