My guys from Flamengo picked up a huge 1-0 road win over Ceara.

The saving grace was Deivid.

He scored the match winner in the 40^th minute.

Ronaldinho Gaucho committed a huge brain fart when he got into a shoving match with Ceara’s Heleno in the 50^th minute.

Both idiots were sent to the showers.

Mengao was able to hang on for the win.

Aos 40 minutos, após desperdiçar algumas oportunidades, Deivid aproveitou excelente cruzamento pela esquerda de Thiago Neves e finalizou de cabeça para o fundo das redes, abrindo o placar e assegurando a vantagem de 1 a 0 ao final da primeira etapa.

Mengao stopped the bleeding. Flamengo and Botafogo tied one all on Sunday.

This tie stopped the losing skid at four matches. Sure we haven’t won since August 9^th but at least Rubro-Negro got the all-allusive point.

Flamengo is in sixth place 37 points.

Corinthians lost to Santos 1-0.

Vasco killed Gremio 4-0.

Gigante de Colina is in the pole position with 45 points.

Sao Paulo picked up a huge 4-0 win over Ceara.

Fluminense lost to Bahia 3-0.

Internacional and Coritiba tied at one all.

If Colorado won they would have passed Mengao in the table.

Fogao drew first blood in the 25^th minute.

Abreu ripped the twines for a 1-0 lead.

Mengao found the answer in the 49^th minute.

Jael deposited the ball into the back of the net to save Flamengo’s bacon.

My guys from Flamengo took a little trip Palmeiras. It wasn’t a successful trip but at least Mengao didn’t get an “L” pinned on their chest.

Verdao and Rubro-Negro tied nil-nil on Wednesday night at Pacaembu.

A tie is better than a loss. Mengao has five wins and five draws. This gives the Boo-Mengao 20 points.

Flamengo is currently sitting in third pace.

Palmeiras is in fourth place with 19 points.

Corinthians is top dog with 28 points.

Sao Paulo is in second place with 21 points.

The guys came into the match with high expectations but there was little productivity.

This means we stunk the joint out big time.

Palmeiras was the superior club on this day. Felipe saved Mengao’s butts in this match. Flamengo was tentative. The guys were on their heels the entire match.

Rubro-Negro didn’t counter attack to offset the offensive pressure.

O problema é que o time anfitrião, apesar de chegar ao gol de Felipe com alguma frequência, em geral não oferecia perigo real ao goleiro. O Flamengo, de sua parte, tentava se virar no contra-ataque, mas sem sucesso.

A superioridade palmeirense do primeiro tempo caiu na segunda etapa. Menos truncado, o jogo ficou mais corrido, mas perdeu em qualidade técnica. Ronaldinho até despertou e tentou alguns lances de genialidade, mas não via sequência nas acrobacias que fazia com a bola. Ainda assim, foi dele o lance mais perigoso do segundo tempo, uma falta batida no canto inferior defendida em dois tempos por Marcos.

Flamengo stopped their three match winless streak with a lucky 1-0 win over Ceara.

Mengao’s offense was non-existent in the win.

 The only saving grace was a PK awarded when Rubro-Negro’s Williams made a mad rush into the box. This push forced Anderson to foul Williams in the 44^th minute.

Petkovic nailed the PK for the only tally of the match.

We picked up a much-needed win but if we don’t find a way to rip the twines, more often Flamengo is in deep do-do.

Newly signed Leandro Amaral and Renato Abreu played like crap. This was another one of those horrible signings by chief idiot Patricia Amorim. This lady needs to be fired.

Guadalajara shut out Universidad de Chile 2-0 in Santiago Chile to advance to the finals of the Copa Libertadores.

Xavier Baez fired a shot on goal. Chilean keeper Miguel Pinto misplayed the shot and thus resulted in a goal for Mexican side Guadalajara in 22^nd minute.

Jonny Maqallon added the insurance goal in the 55^th minute.

I can’t believe this garbage coming out of Flamengo. Mengao signed an over the hill striker Leandro Amaral. He’s been hurt since 2009 with a bum knee.

Amaral hasn’t scored since November 2008.

It’s August. This means the EPL is two weeks away. Kick-off begins August 14^th.

My guys from Arsenal played in the Emirates Cup in London.

The Gunners and AC Milan tied at one all.

We started a very young lineup.

The clown in goal was Fabianski.

He did okay.

Jack Wilshere, Andre Arshavin, and Tomas Rosicky started up front.

Samir Nasri and Emmanuel Eboue anchored the midfield and Thomas Vermaelen was rock of the back line.

The surprise of the match was Marouane Chamakh knocked home the bacon in the 36^th minute. Chamakh sent the ball right through the keeper’s wickets.

Arshavin set this baby up with a great pass.

AC Milan found the equalizer in the 76^th minute.

Brasilian the Duck Pato headed home ball. Buda bing buda boom it’s in the back of the net.

Next up is Scottish side Celtic.

Celtic and Lyon tied two all.

All of this action takes place at the Gunners house Emirates.

Lyon jumped out a huge two nil lead before the guys from Scotland scored twice in the final ten minutes to tie this baby up at two all.

Flu needs to win this baby to keep pace with top dog Corinthians.

Sao Paulo is on a six match winless streak. Tricolor needs a break into the “W” column against Ceara on Saturday.

Vovo is in third place.

This will be tough one for Sao Paulo.

Mengao battles Vasco at Maracanã on Sunday.

This derby will be a blood bath.

Vasco is in 13^th place while Rubro-Negro is in 7^th place.

This tie cost Flu the top spot in the Campeonato.

Mengao has a huge match with Internacional on Sunday in Porto Alegre. Both Flamengo and Colorado both have 16 points but Internacional is in fourth place by having five wins compared with Rubro-Negro’s four wins.

I am not saying this is a must win situation however Flamengo must play a lot better if they want to compete for the title.
