Fluminense is the Champ. Flu TCB on Sunday. Tricolor was top dog from the 25^th week of the season on. Flu kicked ass and took names on the other hand Flamengo stunk the joint out.

Chief idiot Patricia Amorim ran Mengao into the ground. It took her only one year to destroy the 2009 champion.

Way to garoto.

At least we didn’t get the heave-hoe.

Vitoria, Guarani, Goias, and Gremio Prudente are sent packing.

Cruzeiro finished two points behind Fluminense.

Raposa defeated Palmeiras 2-1 in the final match season.

Flu’s win was by a razor thin margin.

Fluminense had 71 points.

Cruzeiro had 69.

Corinthians was third with 68.

Coritiba, Figueirense, Bahia, and America-MG were promoted to the Campeonato.

Brasileiro futebol is off until mid January.

Mengao needs a major overhaul.

Start at the top.

Fire Patricia Amorim’s ass now.

She has ruined a very good side.

Rubro-Negro two of their best players this Year Adriano and Vagner Love.

No wonder Flamengo stunk to high heaven.

We missed Bruno in goal but the real lack was on the offensive end.

We needed a close pin to watch Flamengo.

Rubro-Negro needs to shore up the “D” and please get a real striker not an over the hill bum.

You gotta read the headlines in the Brasileiros press about Flamengo’s latest killing at the hands of Atletico-MG. You gotta believe that Mengao is trying their damnedest to get sent packing.

Rubro-Negro had their hands handed to them by Atletico-MG 4-1.

This sucker was over from the get go.

Flamengo didn’t even bother to show up.

Rubro-negro sat back and counter attacked.

Mengao’s keeper Marcelo Lomba can’t stop a shot to save his life. Lomba is not Bruno. If Bruno was playing Flamengo would have at least a fifty-fifty chance to win. Now it is more like a 35% chance to win.

This was a typical phone it in job.

Flamenguista nation is mad as hell and we’re not going to take it anymore.

This was a pay back time for Galo. Former headman Luxemburgo left Atletico-MG in September 2009. Galo was on the verge of getting the heave-hoe. Luxemburgo is Mengao’s headman.

A ameaça de rebaixamento ainda existe, mas a equipe sobe para a 14ª posição, com 39 pontos, e respira. O Fla é o 13º com 40.

Flamengo is hovering above the drop-dead zone.

Three points separate us from getting 86^th.

Lot’s of fun stuff to talk about today.

Lets start with the Campeonato.

Fluminense is top dog with 61 points. Second place belongs to Corinthians with 60 points. Sitting in third place is Cruzeiro with 60 points também. Timao has a better goal difference. Corinthians has a plus 21 while Raposa is a plus 12.

Mengao is buried in 13^th place with 40. Flamengo is a perfect zero goal difference yet this is a deceiving number.

In our last four matches, Rubro-Negro has given up five goals while scoring only four.

This is a minus one.

Flamengo “D’ has been suspect all year. At times Mengao has looked great while times we looked like a machine gun riddled body.

Marcelo Lomba has taken over for super keeper Bruno in June of this year. Bruno is the hoosegow for murder. Lomba is good but he ain’t no Bruno.

Bruno was bad at times but he could flat out play keeper.

Flamengo sorely misses the murdering bastard.

There are four matches left in the season.

Our title hopes are dead but we need to win two out of our last four matches to avoid the drop-dead zone.

Up on Saturday is Atletico-MG at Galo’s house in Mineiro.

Galo is one-step above the voce vai zone.

Atletico-MG has 36 points.

A win would give Galo 39 points.

It’s all about the “W’s” baby.

This is the name of the game.

Luxemburgo will start Petkovic, Diego Mauricio, and Diogo.

Sao Paulo is on a six match winless streak. Tricolor needs a break into the “W” column against Ceara on Saturday.

Vovo is in third place.

This will be tough one for Sao Paulo.

Mengao battles Vasco at Maracanã on Sunday.

This derby will be a blood bath.

Vasco is in 13^th place while Rubro-Negro is in 7^th place.

Flamengo has been struggling as of late.

We have one win, one loss, and one tie.

Fluminense got by Santos 1-0.

The win vaulted Flu to second place in the table.

Corinthians has 21 bad boys.

Ceara has 18 points.

Flamengo moved up one spot to fourth place with 15 points.

The race is on.

Sao Paulo has almost dropped outta sight.

Tricolor is buried in 13^th place.

Vasco is still in the danger zone.

Gigante de Colina is in 17^th place with nine points.

It is still very early in the season to ring up the white flag however; nine matches into the season there are some trends.

Timao started out very strong last year but by the end of the 2009 season Corinthians wound up in tenth place.

This year will be different for Timao.

Corinthians is strong this year.

Timao has more pieces in place and this will make them very dangerous.

All one has to do is look at the results.

Six wins, three draws, and zero losses.

Flamengo seems to have found a diamond in the rough with keeper Marcelo Lomba. Lomba has been playing lights since the murder Bruno was sent to prison.

The loss of Bruno, the drug addict Adriano, and Love may have motivated Petkovic and the rest to show us how good they can be.

Mengao has controlled the two last to matches.

Flamengo is now dictating the tempo and flow of the match thus forcing opponents to play our style of play.

This is upbeat and attacking.

Rubro-Negro needs another striker.

Other than Mengao is on the right path.

On Wednesday, Flamengo battles third place Avai.

This should be a battle royal.

I have to admit I was very surprised that Mengao pulled out a huge 1-0 win over Botafogo at Maracanã.

This sucker was huge.

Paulo Sergio nailed the match winner in the 69^th minute.

A wicked penetration into the box by Petkovic set this puppy up. He made a sweet pass to mate Vinicius Pacheco. Pacheco dished the cheeky pass off to Sergio. Sergio deposited the ball into the naked net.

Game, set, and match to Rubro-Negro.

This gave us 12 points.

Flamengo moved up into a tie with Cruzeiro fro fifth place.

Corinthians and Ceara tied nil-nil.

We are only six points outta first place.

This was a huge win.

Botafogo-Flamengo is a huge clássico in Rio de Janeiro.

Overall, Mengao played well without Adriano, Love, and Bruno.

Bruno’s replacement Marcelo Lomba did very well in goal. He made several acrobatic saves. Lomba also saved Mengao’s bacon at three times.

I will give him a B plus for effort.

President Patricia Amorim said this was good news for the Flamenguista nation. This win brought us some joy.

In reality, the win took the attention off of the murder Bruno who is now in jail awaiting trial.

Youngster Diego Mauricio and Vinicius Pacheco took a while before the duo began to click but once they did this will give Flamengo a good strike force. Throw into the mix Petkovic and Mengao could do some damage.

O time desmantelado e o ataque jovem pesaram para as dificuldades do Flamengo nos minutos iniciais. Mas aos poucos o nervosismo passou. Diego Maurício caprichou no visual, colocou tranças dread e conseguiu acertar a primeira jogada aos 19. A dupla fez outra boa jogada aos 22 e Vinícius, desta vez como pé esquerdo, chutou forte. Jefferson espalmou para escanteio. O Botafogo recorreu aos contra-ataques. Marcelo Cordeiro fez ótimo lançamento aos 27, Juan cochilou e Alessandro entrou livre na área. O lateral do Flamengo se recuperou e conseguiu atrapalhar o chute.

Por causa de toda a situação que precedeu a partida, o Rubro-Negro, surpreendentemente, dominou boa parte do primeiro tempo. Aos 34, Kleberson cruzou rasteiro e Petkovic chutou rente ao ângulo esquerdo.

Sao Paulo got the butts handed to them by Avai 2-1.

Avai scored the first two goals of the match before Tricolor added a cosmetic goal midway through the second half.

All and all I am a very happy camper.

Mengao travels to Atletico-MG on Sunday July 18^th at Goiania.

Flamengo has had tons of trouble on the road. For that matter at home Mengao stinks the joint out too.

We have some huge matches that place on Wednesday. Corinthians and Ceara each had 17 points.

These two sides will meet at Vovo house in Rei Pele.

Sao Paulo is taking on mid table Avai in Mouribi.

Tricolor cannot afford to lose this sucker.

If Sao Paulo loses and either Timao or Vovo win this will drop Tricolor further off the pace.

We are only seven matches into the season. There is lots of futebol to be played but eight out of ten times that side that gets off to a hot start will usually win the Campeonato.

Last year was the exception when Mengao came roaring back after a horrible start.

I don’t think this is going to happen this year.

Flamengo is missing the drug addict and drunk Adriano, the murder Bruno, and Vagner Love.

This year we may wind up at the bottom of the heap.

I have been so focus on the World Cup that I missed a huge story that was reported by UOL and Globo Esporte out of Brasil.

My wife brought this story to my attention.

Bruno Flamengo’s number keeper was picked up on suspicion of murder. Bruno is the prime suspect in the disappearance of his girlfriend Eliza Samudio.

Samudio wanted to get a paternity test to prove that Bruno is the father of her child.

Doesn’t this sound kinda familiar?

All you have to do is look at the police blotter and you will find NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, and college athlete’s players and former players picked up for crimes running the gamut from drug possession to murder.

Then thrown a college basketball coach Dave Bliss who covered up the murder of one his players, if you think it is just the players think again.

This is the sordid underbelly of athletics both pro and college.

This is not just a USA problem but also a world problem.

These athletes don’t get it.

God gave these men and women talent that many of us wish we had.

These clowns think that they are above the law and can do what they want. It doesn’t matter if it is murder or sleeping around or paying for sex, drugs, and rock and roll, these cats think they that morality and the law doesn’t apply to them.

Not!

These people think they are entitled to the perks that are given to them by the adoring public.

To be really honest with you if Bruno paid to have this girl killed he needs to be put into the roughest prisons in Rio or Sao Paulo.

Globo Esporte wrote this-O goleiro Bruno deixou o Departamento de Investigações de Minas Gerais, em Belo Horizonte, por volta de 16h40m desta sexta-feira. O atleta foi levado para a Penitenciária Nelson Hungria, em Contagem (MG).

Além de Bruno, seu amigo Luiz Henrique Ferreira Romão, o Macarrão, e o ex-policial Marcos Aparecido dos Santos, também conhecido como Bola, também seguiram para o presídio.

Bruno é suspeito de envolvimento no sumiço de Eliza Samudio. A jovem teve um relacionamento com o goleiro e desapareceu quando tentava provar que ele é pai de seu filho, de 4 meses. Macarrão e Bola também teriam participado do desaparecimento.

Bruno, Macarrão e Bola passaram a noite nessa penitenciária, para onde foram transferidos na madrugada desta sexta-feira.

O Corpo de Bombeiros retomou, nesta sexta, as buscas pelo corpo de Eliza Samudio no sítio alugado por Marcos Aparecido dos Santos, conhecido como Bola. A propriedade fica em Esmeraldas (MG)

O delegado Edson Moreira afirmou que o goleiro Bruno e os outros dois suspeitos de envolvimento no desaparecimento de Eliza foram orientados pelos advogados a não ceder material genético para as investigações.

De acordo com a Polícia Civil, o material dos suspeitos seria comparada aos vestígios de sangue encontrados no carro de Bruno. O veículo foi apreendido durante um blitz, em 8 de junho, por problemas com documentação.

Segundo Moreira, não há data definida para o depoimento de Bruno. O delegado afirma que nenhum dos três suspeitos falou à polícia e não estariam cooperando com as investigações

Um computador pessoal de Eliza, entregue à polícia por uma amiga, será encaminhado à perícia. De acordo com Moreira, fotos e conversas gravadas pela jovem serão analisadas.

Mengao had a chance to move up the table but no! Rubro-Negro gave up two late second-half goals.

This sucks big time.

This win marked the first time Goias won at Maracanã in fourteen years.

Both teams played like crap. Menago was worse. Sure Flamengo was missing several key players but this is just an excuse. Lourenco needs to make sure the players are ready to play. This is his job.

Sure Lourenço made changes but they didn’t work.

A juke right and then a side step left. Shot. Goal Neto.

Bruno never had a chance.

Bruno got his paw on the ball but he couldn’t keep the shot out.

Goias wins 2-1

This is not the way to enter the World Cup break.

This might cost Mengao a shot at the title.

This gives us two losses at home.

The Flamenguista nation is sad and sick all at the same time.

Mengao stunk the joint at Maracanã on Wednesday night in a 3-2 loss to Universidad de Chile.

The score was closer than the game indicated. Chile jumped out an early 2-0 lead. Both of the Chilean goals were gimmie goals.

Stupid defending by the Flamengo “D” created both.

The press and the fans want to hang this on keeper Bruno.

Globo Esporte wrote this story about Mengao keeper Bruno. The fans were screaming at him instead of the crappy Flamengo defense.
