With the EPL all over but the shouting, the English futebol world turns its attention to the oldest competition in the world The FA Cup.
The big question is this.
Will Man City win their first title in thirty-five years or will City be bridesmaids once again.
The Citizens last title was 1976.
City takes on Stoke City at Wembley Stadium today.
City last won The FA Cup in 1969.
The Potters returned to the EPL in 2009.
Stoke City was sent down in 1985.
The Potters languished for many years in the lower divisions before rising like the Phoenix in 2009.
Man City has the same horrible history. City blew a title in 1972. The Citizens sunk to an all time low when they were given their walking papers in 1996.
It got so bad that Man City’s fall from grace landed them in division three futebol in 1998.
City began a long hard fight to return to the EPL.
The Citizens finally dug their way out of the hellhole in 2001.
Can you say you’ve come a long way baby.
Both City and Stoke City have a long history of failure in the top division but on this day, they will have the entire attention of the English futebol world.

Winning keeper Joe Hart had this to say about the win- “It means the world. We are the players and we are employed to give performances and get results and, regardless of the money spent by the club, we are a team and we have shown that.
“If you watched the Champions League this season, Spurs have done brilliantly and it’s a shame for them that they can’t be there again as they brought something to it, but trips to Real Madrid, AC Milan and Inter Milan – what more can you ask for?
“We now need a trophy and that is this Saturday. We got this tonight and we now need to give these fans a trophy.”
Spurs manager Harry “Me Boy’ Redknapp said after the defeat-
“We have had Champions League this year for the first time since the Premier League started but you need to keep improving and we had a bad run at the wrong time,” he said. “We had too many draws.
“But I take a lot of pride out of the season. I enjoy watching us play and that’s the biggest thing for me. We had control of that game for large periods tonight and we will tweak things in the summer and try and get back in the Champions League.”
