It is time futebol players are stopped being treated like cattle. Players are no more than meat on the hoof for club owners and international federations. These owners and managers can use players however they want to.
Sure, players are paid great wages. At least the stars and many of the good players are paid handsomely but what is the price?
The price is very high.
The average player life span in futebol is maybe five to eight years.
These men have only a few years to many lots of money before their bodies begin to break down.
Yeah, I know clubs have taken out insurance policies to protect their property.
Cool, but what about player’s rights.
These federations and clubs force players to play upwards of 90-100 matches a year.
No wonder players like Wayne Rooney, Fernando Torres, Cesc Fabregas, and Robin Van Persie are broken down by the time they are 25 years old.
It is time players form a real union and start to demand proper medical care, insurance, and a limit on how many matches they can play each year.
I know it is really important to play for your country.
I can dig it but look at this fool why have all of these stupid friendly matches right after the World Cup has just concluded.
Use your freakin head for something besides a hat rack.
This makes as much sense as a fart in church.
It is time players refuse to play in these stupid and insane matches.
Futebol players need a Curt Flood to sacrifice his career for the good of the game and the players.
Until this happens, players will continue to go down like flies.
Pele played futebol from 1956 until 1977.
He played almost all of his career in Brasil.
Pele played for Santos from 1956-1974.
He played two years with the New York Cosmos before he quit in 1977.
Now a days players play in League play, Champions League, European Championships, International friendly and preseason matches all over the world.
Players like Pele and Maradona are the exception.
It is time for futebol players grow a set of balls and take on owners and FIFA management and tell them we have had enough of this crap.
Enough said.
Gunner nation will stand forever.
Flamenguista for life.

Today will be a hodge podge of stuff to talk about. We’re in an international break until October 18th.
Yet, many of the top clubs in the world will see their best players participating the European Championships.
This is nuts.
My Gunners have eleven players in the idiotic event.
Here’s a list of the Arsenal players: Bacary Sagna, Abou Diaby, Samir Nasri, Gael Clichy, Tomas Rosicky, Jack Wilshere, Andrey Arshavin, Emmanuel Eboue, Marouane Chamakh, Henri Lansbury, and Wojciech Szcesny.
I wonder how many of our guys will get hurt?
This doesn’t include Fernando Torres, Wayne Rooney, and whole slew of other top-flight stars.
This is pure stupidity.
The players need to stand up and go on strike.
Enough said on this BS.
Mengao has a hot date with Atletico-MG.
Flamengo needs to win this sucker.
We are playing in Rio de Janeiro.
Although it is not Maracanã, we are playing at home- Jornalista Mario Filho.
If Mengao doesn’t win, the Flamenguistas will be restless and mad as hell.
Goianiense trails Mengao in the table by four points.
UOL wrote this- Flamengo will try and put behind them the craziness of Zico and Silas getting the axe and the Mengao will see the return of striker Diogo.
Flamenguista for life.

Man U is perfect on the road. The mighty boys from Old Trafford have no wins, no losses, and four ties on the road this season.
Man U and Sunderland ended in nil-nil tie at the Stadium of Light.
Edwin van de Sar made a key save in the 16th minute to preserve the scoreless sheet.
Bolo Zenden hit the post in the 82nd minute. Almost, coulda, woulda but not on this day.
Dimitar Berbatov nailed a winner but the zebras called him for offsides.
Man U is living dangerously on the road.
Sir Alex didn’t start his best side.
Rooney and Berbatov didn’t start.
Rooney didn’t play at all.
Michael Owen and Nani were the only real strikers.
Rio Ferdinand was back to anchor the “D”.
Something is a miss here. Man U is sitting back and depending on the “D” to win the day.
At some point in time, this tactic will bite the Red Devils in the butt.
The point pulls Man U to within two points of Chelsea.
Tottenham defeated Aston Villa 2-1.
Rafael Van der Vaart hit for the daily double to lead Spurs to the all-important win at home- White Hart Lane.
Everton finally picked up win.
The Toffees defeated Birmingham 2-0.
Wigan picked a huge 2-0 win over Wolverhampton.
The Lactics moved up to 13th place.
Wigan has eight points.
There are some huge matches on Sunday.
My guys from Arsenal takes on Chelsea.
Man City battles Newcastle.
Liverpool has a date with Blackpool.
When the dust settles on Sunday, we will see how the table will shake out.

Manchester United invited lowly West Ham to Old Trafford.
The host’s treated the Hammers to a shooting gallery.
Yes, my friend, the mighty boys from Old Trafford fired shot after shot after shot at West Ham keeper Robert Green.
It took a while before the Red Devils found the back of the net.
Ryan Giggs took it to the rack. Hammers defender Jonathan Spector was forced to tackle Giggs in the box. Whamo, bamo, It’s PK time. Rooney breaks his scoring drought in the 33rd minute,
This is the Wayne man’s first goal in five months.
The Hammers hung in there.
I mean, man it was rough out there for the Hammers.
This match was hard to watch.
The feeding frenzy was on.
Nani beat almost entire West Ham team in the 50th minute to make 2-nil Man U.
Juke right. Side step left. Step side right. Pause. Shift the ball to left. Fire. Bingo. Back of the net.
Nani made the entire Hammers side look ridiculous.
Berbatov added a great flying side ways bicycle kick into the back of the net in the 69th minute.
The deal was already sealed after the first goal.
The mighty boys from Old Trafford should have had a ton more goals but Hammers keeper Robert Green kept it a respectable massacre.
Man U is for real.
Chelsea and the rest better watch out.
The Red Devils have real team speed.
They can score.
The only problem is that super defender Rio Ferdinand is out.
Once he comes back watch out baby.
The other team to watch out for is my guys from Arsenal.
The young Gunners such as Theo Walcott are finding their stride.
With Walcott ripping the twines, watch out EPL.
The only bad news in Gunner land is that RVP is hurt.
Chelsea is beating up on the little old lady’s and the little sisters of the poor but let’s see what happens when the Blues get into the meat of their schedule.
Remember this Man U burned em in the Community Shield.
Last year Chelsea took it to the Red Devils.
This is a good indicator of what might be in store.

Fulham bit Manchester United twice in the butt to comeback for a two all draw.
This is not good for the mighty boys of Old Trafford.
Man U’s road woes still continue.
Three points were a must but a draw is better than a loss.
Scholes scored the first goal of the match in the 11th minute.
Paul Scholes fired a deadly strike from 30 yards out.
Berbatov set it with a great pass.
Fulham found the equalizer in the 57th minute.
Fulham pressed the attack.
The Cottagers Duff made a mad rush up the right sideline. He got past Man U defender Evra. Duff laid the ball off for mate Bobby Zamora. Zamora fed Davies.
Davies beat the naked keeper Van der Sar.
Man U scored the go ahead goal in the 84th minute.
Ryan Giggs fired a wicked shot into the goalmouth. Fulham’s Brede Hangeland deflected the ball into his own net.
2-1 Man U.
The match changer happened in the 86th minute.
Man U was given a PK.
Nani fired the shot right at keeper David Stockdale.
Block. Save.
This miss cost the mighty boys from Old Trafford the match.
The Cottagers nailed the equalizer three minutes later in the 89th minute.
Hangeland headed home a brilliantly placed corner kick by mate Duff.
This killed Man U.
Stupid mistakes killed the Red Devils.
Bad defending was the key.
The two goals were the result of poor marking and no help side defense.
This tie may have cost the Man U a shot at the title.
Road wins not ties are the key.
This is a stumble however this is not fatal.
Newcastle killed Aston Villa 6-0.
De Futebol
We are in the stretch run in the EPL. Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Arsenal have two matches left.
Chelsea and Man U are locked in a death match to see which side will win the EPL crown.
Chelsea is top dog with 80 points. Man U has 79.
Fire up the Afro burners baby the race is surely on.
The mighty Red Devils are going for the historic four-peat.
By Sunday afternoon, we will have a good idea on who will have the inside track to win the title.
Liverpool takes on the Blues at Anfield on Sunday. The Red Devils need to have the Reds beat Chelsea if not Chelsea will win the title.
The mighty boys from Old Trafford travel to the Stadium of Light to take on Sunderland. Sunday too.
Rooney will surely be out so the waste of a strike Berbatov must find the back of the bet. A blind squirrel can find an acorn every so often. The Red Devils need to him find the back of the net.
Nani and the gang need to step up as well.
The Reds need to be on the top of their game if they want to derail the Blues. Liverpool has an outside chance to secure the final Champions League spot but several things must happen.
Tottenham takes on Bolton on Saturday. Tottenham needs to run the table to hold on the final spot.
Man City has a hot date with Aston Villa. Villa has 64 points. The same as Spurs but Tottenham has a better goal difference. A plus 24 compared to a plus 16.
City is a point back at 63.
Liverpool has 62 points.
Yikes, this tighter than a size forty-eight man trying to squeeze into a size thirty pair of pants.
My guys Arsenal still have a long shot of chance to win the title however both the Blues and Man U need to blow it big time.
We have a date with Blackburn on Monday.
Three points are a must for the Gunners.
De Futebol
Arsenal picked up a huge 3-1 win over Burnley. Yes, this was a much-needed three points.
We started out with several great scoring opportunities. We were finally able to tickle the back of the net in the 34th minute.
Cesc Fabregas rifled home a shot right through the keepers Brian Jensen’s wickets to give us a 1-0 lead.
Samir Nasri set it up with a great chip shot right over the top of the Burnley defense.
Arsenal had one of those brain farts in the 50th minute. Burnley’s David Nugent knocked home the equalizer to level this baby up at one all.
Mate Leon Cort headed a great pass to Nugent to set up the goal.
We seized the lead in the 60th minute. Theo Walcott sniped home a perfect low ball. This shot flat out beat the keeper Brian Jensen to the right post.
Finally, Andre Arshavin put this baby out of reach in the 90th minute with a perfect strike into the back of the net.
Not pretty but we will take it.
This gives Arsenal 61 points.
Bolton scored two first half goals and then held on to beat West Ham 2-1.
Jack Wilshere, on loan from Arsenal, fired home a close range shot in the 20th minute for the Wanderers.
Kevin Davies ripped a header in the 10th minute to start this sucker off right for Bolton.
Bolton now has 29 points. The Wanderers are currently in 13th place. Bolton is five points from the drop zone.
Portsmouth is on the verge of getting shut down for good. Pompey picked a huge 2-0 win over Birmingham in the quarterfinals of the FA cup.
Frederick Piquionne hit the daily double, 67th, 70th minute, to make Pompey’s day.
This win is worth 600,000 pounds.
You gotta love it.
The dog saved their hide by beating a very good Birmingham club.
Manchester United has miss fired on all cylinders against Wolves so far.
The Red Devils dearly miss Wayne Rooney. Berbatov is a total waste of time
In a flash, the match changed. Nani broke free on the right side of the box. He fired a pass into the teeth of the Wolves goal line defense. Pinball machine time. Paul Scholes rifled home the point blank shot off a missed played clearance by defender Craddock in the 73rd minute to give Man U a 1-0 lead.
This was follow the bouncing ball time.
This was a huge goal.
For it sure looked like Wolverhampton would salvage a point.
There is ten minutes left.
We will see what happens.
Manchester hung on for a 1-0 win against Wolves.
Manchester United is now in first place with 63 points.
Road wins are a premium in the EPL.
This was a biggie.
The Blues have a game in hand.
We are in a great position to win this baby.
Remember what I said earlier, Arsenal would win the title. So far so good for the Gunner nation.
De Futebol
What did I tell ya. The EPL champ will have the best road record. Man U’s road woes continued at Elwood Park. Everton took it to the mighty Red Devils. The Toffees whopped em good. The final tally was 3-1 Everton.
This gives the mighty men of Old Trafford five road losses. Yes, count em five road losses.
This is huge for us Arsenal fans. This loss opens up the door for Arsenal. A win today against Sunderland and we will have cut the gap to two points behind Man U.
All we need is to have Chelsea to lose to Wolverhampton.
Go ahead and make my day.
My instincts tell me that with Rio and Nani out due to suspension will really hurt the Red Devils. Add on top of that Ryan Giggs gone because of a broken forearm you have a really depleted Red Devils side ripe for the taking.
This is exactly what the Toffees did.
Give Everton all the credit. The Toffees flat out took it Man U.
The Toffees have now beaten both Man U and Chelsea at home.
Home cooking goes a long way.
Rio Ferdinand’s absence really hurt the Man U “D”.
With Rio in the line up, I don’t think the Toffees would have scored.
Man U opened the scoring in the 16th minute. Berbatov one timed a great centering pass from mate Valencia for 1-0 Man U lead.
Then all hell broke loose. Everton kept applying the pressure.
The Toffees were like a pressure cooker. They kept the steam up and then the lid blew off this baby.
Everton’s Diniyar Bilyaletdinov nailed a perfect long-range ball in the 19th minute to even this sucker up at one all. Red Devil’s keeper Van der Sar never even flinched. He had his cement shoes on.
The Toffees scored the go ahead goal in the 76th minute. Dan Gosling back heeled a great cross from mate Steven Pienaar for a 2-1 Everton lead.
Everton put the final nail in the coffin in the 90th minute. Jack Rodwell wove his way through the entire Man U back line. He teed up a great shot that made went flying past the sprawled out keeper Edwin Van de Sar.
Final score was 3-1 Everton.
Well Chelsea is well on their way to giving Wolves a futebol lesson. Didier Drogba has hit for the daily double.
The Blues have it in cruise control.
Chelsea is well on its way to a huge road win.
The Blues have 2-0 lead with ten minutes left.
Arsenal on the other hand is in a dogfight with Sunderland. Nicklas Bendtner rammed home a point blank gimmie shot in the 27th minute to give us 1-0 lead.
Cesc Fabregas set this baby up with a great run into the box. He made a great pass right through the goal crease to left post.
This created the walk in goal for Bendtner.
This is way this baby stands with about thirteen minutes remaining.
If things remain the same, Chelsea will have 61 points. Man U remains at 57 points. Arsenal is still with in striking distance with 55 points.
It is all over but the shouting as Chelsea cruised to a 2-0 win over Wolverhampton.
This gives the Blues seven road wins on the season. Chelsea is 7-3-4 on the road. Man U drops to 7-2-5. Arsenal remains at 6-3-4.
Finally, we get another goal in the dying moments of the match against Sunderland. Cesc Fabregas nailed the PK kick to put this guy out of reach.
We can all breath a huge sigh of relief.
The Gunners are up 2-0 in the 90th minute.
Thank God for small favors.
It is all over. We pick up the all-important three points.
The top of the table looks like this after Saturdays encounters.
Chelsea is the top gun with 61 points. Man U is second with 57 and Arsenal is third with 55.
The race is on baby.
Man U is wobbly on the road. Chelsea has their troubles as well. It will come down to this. Beat the teams you should. Hold serve at home. Have more wins than losses or ties on the road.
Trust me on this.
Man U’s loss to Everton may have well cost them a shot at the four peat. Better yet this may have cost the Red Devils second place in the table as well.
De Futebol
We have some huge fixtures on Saturday and Sunday in the EPL. Manchester United and Everton battle each other in Everton’s house Elwood Park.
The Red Devils are a scant one point behind league leaders Chelsea. Rooney and the guys need to come out breathing fire. In Man U’s last five road games, they have two wins, two draws, and one loss.
Man U has struggled on the road. The Red Devils are coming off a road tie with Aston Villa. This road match will be a key test to see if the Red Devils can become the first EPL team to get a four peat.
Rooney, Berbatov, and Anderson need to attack and create a ton of scoring chances. Rio Ferdinand and Nani will not play due to suspensions.
Without Rio and Nani Man U could pull a Keystone Cops routine on the defensive end of the pitch
With Giggs out due to a broken forearm this will hurt Man U a lot. How much? This depends on Berbatov.
The Toffees will be missing one of their key players too. Midfielder Tim Cahill will be out at least three weeks with a pulled calf muscle.
We have a huge match against Sunderland at Emirates on Saturday. Let’s hope we put the fiasco of what happened in Portugal behind us.
I hope someone slapped Fabianski upside the head for his stupid and dumb play in net against Porto on Wednesday.
This bum Fabianski needs to wake up and make sure he doesn’t play stupid in goal if Arsenal is forced to use this clown in goal if Almunia is not ready to go.
Both Diaby and Gallas will be out. This is going to kill us but I am sure the return of Alex Song will help.
God please don’t let us pull another Rocky Horror Picture Show at home.
The Gunners need to take care of business at home.
Arsenal needs to take names and kick butt.
Fabregas and the guys need to torch the twines.
Chelsea has a road trip to Wolverhampton. Chelsea has a habit of losing on the road. The Blues are coming off a huge road loss to Everton. Wolves are not that good. In plain English, they stink big time.
Let’s hope the Blues have a brain fart and lose big time.
Over the past few weeks, the big boys have stubbed their toes big time on the road.
The EPL winner will have the best road record.
Chelsea is 6-3-4 on the road. Man U is 7-2-4. Arsenal is 6-3-4.
Last year Chelsea, Man U, and Arsenal had a combined nine total road losses. Right now, they have a combined twelve losses with 12 matches left in the season.
They key is hold serve at home and win at least 55 to 60% of your road matches.
When the dust settles the EPL title race will come more into focus.

The Blues had a chance to be eight points up on the Gunners but Chelsea’s tie with Hull City left the door ajar for the Gunners to move within three points with a win at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
The Hull City tie gave Chelsea 55 points.
Arsenal has 49.
This is a must win situation for the Gunner nation.
Fabregas, Arshavin, and his mates need to step up to the plate big time.
It is kick ass and take names time for the Gunners.
Nothing short of a win will suffice.
Nasri said it best. A loss will kill our title hopes. A defeat is not part of our lexicon.
So, true my main man.
The Gunners have had a full week of practice. There were no mid week games. The guys should be rested. Locked, loaded, and we are ready to fire everything in our arsenal at the Blues.
Eduardo will not make the trip.
Theo Walcott will play but Diaby will be a game time decision if he is fit or not.
Lets hope Diaby is ready to go.
I will be holding my breath until mid Sunday morning.
Go Gunners and kick some major butt.
The other matches with title implications are Man U-Portsmouth, Liverpool-Everton, Hull City-City, and Tottenham-Aston Villa.
The Red Devils should not have a problem handling Pompey at Old Trafford but anything is possible. Least we forget what Burnley pulled off at the house that Man U built in the way back machine in September.
I bet the Red Devils fans haven’t.
When Man U wins this will give them 56 points. This will propel Man U into first place in the EPL.
The other big match is Spurs-Aston Villa.
There is a logjam for the final Champions League spot between Villa, Reds, City, and Spurs.
Lets not forget this little diddy. Thirteen points separate Spurs and first place Chelsea. If either Villa or Spurs can go on a huge run and at the same time the Blues stumble a title can be had by Tottenham, Villa, and yes Liverpool.
I am I saying this will definitely happen? No.
But, lets not rule out the possibility of Chelsea faltering down the stretch.
This years EPL title race has been any thing but sane.
Expect in the insane.
There are fourteen games left and crazier things have happened.
