There’s a ton of stuff to talk about today. The USA and Mexico battled it out in a friendly match in the city of brotherly love- Philadelphia.

Mexico scored first when Oribe Peralta did a bend around kick using the defender as shield off a great corner kick by mate Andres Guardado in the 17^th minute.

Tim Howard never had a chance on this sucker.

Howard went to the spot where thought the ball was going to go but Peralta did the wrap around shot into the left side of the net.

The USA got the equalizer in the 73^rd minute.

Robbie Rogers nailed the open netter to tie this puppy up at one all.

Game, set, and tie to the USA and Mexico.

The Mexicans out played the USA in the first half.

The USA came out breathing fire in the second half.

Here’s the caveat Mexico did not play their top side.

The USA was missing a few folks too.

All in all this was a half decent showing for Jurgen Klinsmann.

In Brasileiros futebol Seria A Corinthians played their game in hand against Santos.

Both clubs kissed their sister nil-nil.

Instead of getting full points Corinthians and Flamengo are tied with 33 points but Timao has ten wins compared with Mengao’s nine “W’s”.

Rubro-Negro is a plus 15 while Corinthians is a plus 14.

Timao is top dog with 33 points.

Flamengo is in second place with 33 points também.

On to the Copa Sul Americana Flamengo defeated Atletico-PR 1-0.

Ronaldinho Gaucho scored the match winner in the 81^st minute.

Gaucho nailed the PK.

The first leg was played in Flamengo’s house in Rio de Janeiro.

The second leg will be played Furacao’s house.

I had a real bad weekend. All of my teams lost except one. Arsenal stunk the joint against Newcastle.Flamengo lost to Atletico-PR 1-0. The only saving grace this weekend was the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles beat the Colts 26-24. With the win, my Eags improved to 5-3.

My wife can tell you I was not a happy camper.

Mengao is on the verge of getting the heave –hoe.

We stunk the joint out.

This loss stops a three tie match slide.

Flamengo is stuck on stupid.

Rubro-Negro is in 13^th place with 40 points.

Four points separate us from the you’re outta here zone.

The turning point in the match happened in the 39^th minute.

Paulo Baier took it to the rack. The contact was minimal. Baier falls to the ground like he was shot.

Give me a break.

PK was awarded.

Baier nails the shot dead center.

Keeper Marcelo Lomba couldn’t stop a fly with a cannon.

Game, set, and match to Furacao.

Mengao tried to attack but nothing worked.

We need to hang on.

There are only four matches left.

Mengao needs wins not ties or losses.

This is not good garoto.

The facts are these we need to win at least two out of our four final matches if we are to avoid getting 86^th outta here.
