Vasco is hanging in there. Colina de Gigante is top dog in the Brasileiros Serie A with 50 points. Corinthians is in second place with 48 points.

Vasco and Timao tied two all last weekend.

This tie kept the door open for Flamengo.

The guys are hanging out in sixth place with 44 points.

Mengao has now a two match-winning streak after going winless from August 6^th until September 23^rd.

During this time span we dropped four matches in a row.

Not good garoto.

The guys have regained their stride.

Our next match is on Sunday against archrival Fluminense. This is another one of those must win suckers.

Flu is in fifth place with 44 points também however Po-de Arroz has three more wins that us even though Mengao is a plus nine compared with Flu’s plus six.

We need to get Ronaldinho Gaucho more involved in the scoring.

Gaucho has scored 13 goals.

He is in second place.

He has 19 goals.

Deivid has scored ten goals for Flamengo.

He is tied for fourth place.

This is good enough for eight place.

The big problem for Flamengo is that they are only converting 12.6% of their scoring chances.

Mengao is currently in 13^th place converting scoring chances.

Palmeiras is the best club at converting scoring chances at 15.9 %.

Flamengo has scored 44 goals and has given up 35.

Mengao is the top scoring team in the Brasileiros Serie A.

It sure looked like Flamengo was going either lose or tie this sucker against Atletico-MG.

Mengao fell behind early.

Kempes scored on a PK in the 29^th minute.

Rubro-Negro found the equalizer in the 61^st minute.

Deivid ripped the twines to level this sucker at one all.

This was our first win since August 9^th.

Ronaldinho Gaucho finally cracked the code and scored in the 61^st minute to save our bacon.

Flamengo and Atletico-MG tied at one all.

Daniel Carvalho ripped the twines for Galo in the 49^th minute.

Mengao is still buried in 6^th place with 38 points.

The saving grace is that both Sao Paulo and Corinthians tied nil-nil.

Fluminense beat Avai 3-1 so now Flu has a three-point lead on Mengao.

Vasco and Atletico-GO play later on Thursday.

Mengao needs wins not ties.

Flamengo has now zero wins, four losses and three ties in their last seven matches.

At this rate we will fall off the end of the table.

Mengao once again has their collective backs against the wall. We are in need of wins not draws and losses. Flamengo hasn’t won a match since August 8^th. We are going on almost two months with out a “W”.

Wednesday night Rubro-Negro battles Atletico-MG at Galo’s house.

The last time we met was in June and the guys won at home 4-1.

This is another one of those must win puppies.

We are still have a shot at winning the title but we must start winning now.

In our last six matches, Mengao zero wins, two ties, and four losses.

Ronaldinho Gaucho and Deivid need to come up big.

Gaucho has not scored since August 31^st against Avai.  

He hit the daily double but the guys lost 3-2.

Ronaldinho Gaucho will be at full strength for this sucker.

Dragao destroyed Flamengo 4-1 in our house.

This was a total blow out.

Rubro-Negro played without heart.

They quit.

Sure, we were missing our top player Ronaldinho Gaucho but the rest of the guys should be shot for impersonating a futebol club.

It was 4-0 in blink of an eye.

Atletico-GO is buried in 15^th place with 19 points.

Mengao is in second place but we sure as hell we didn’t play like it.

The idiots in the press made excuses for Flamengo’s crappy play.

The biggie will be Manchester United and Tottenham on Monday at Old Trafford.

Man U will be missing Vidic. He will be out five weeks due to a torn calf muscle.

Mano Menezes has included Ronaldinho Gaucho on roster when Brasil faces Ghana next month at Craven Cottage.

This is a good move.

Finally Ronaldinho Gaucho has learned he is not just a star but also a complete futebol player.

The bums fell behind 2-1 before Ronaldinho Gaucho and the boys took the bull by the horns. The Flamengo guys scored two late goals to beat America-MG 3-2.

This was another one of those brain fart matches for Rubro-Negro.

Ronaldinho Gaucho started the match off with a bang.

In the 10^th minute Ronaldinho was hauled down just outside the box.

Gaucho dialed up the long-range free kick bomb. Nothing but the bottom of the net.

Anderson and Alessandro scored for Coelho in the 38^th and 45^th minutes respectively.

Deivid and Ronaldinho found the magic in the 56^th and 84^th minutes to seal the deal for Mengao.
