I am glad Arsene Wenger is not backing down from what he said about the shit head of a ref Massimo Busacca and his stupidly.

Yes, the Gunners played without passion after RVP was sent off.

Who wouldn’t!

This is like a kick in the nuts.

Look, the fix was in.

FIFA is part of the problem.

There has been an axe to grind with the EPL for the last few years because Chelsea, Liverpool, Man U, and Arsenal made it to the semi-finals or finals the last three outta four years.

Wenger had this to say about the ref – “I don’t understand where that comes from,” he said. “It is the kind of thing that is difficult to understand.

“It is a shame the referee took the decision to send off Robin van Persie because it was the wrong decision. The first game was a fantastic advert for football and the second game has been destroyed. The only thing that people remember is that the sending off killed the game.

“This decision frustrated us and frustrated everybody who loves football.”

What he said privately to the idiot Busacca was not revealed- “I will keep that for UEFA if they really want to know because I will have some interesting statements to make about some statements made by people who were not supposed to say what they said.

“You can check any statement I made on television after the game. If I have done anything wrong I am ready to be charged.

”As for what is said in the tunnel, if you can get just one [time] where I have come out on what has been said against me or against the referee [in a tunnel] during my 15 years in England, I will pay for you to have a big holiday.”

The fix is in.

FIFA wants Barca to win and they will do everything in their power to make sure Camp Nou represents Europe in the FIFA World Club Title.

It is a fix baby!

Coming up for my Gunners is Man U in the quarterfinals of the FA Cup.

In plain and simple English forget-about it.

We need to win this sucker.

Both Man U and my Gunners are in the shits.

This is a huge match for both sides.

For this match will have huge implications on how the rest of the season goes.

In the second round of Carioca Campeonato Flu blasted America-RJ 3-1.

Rafael Moura hit the daily double for Fluminense.

Vasco doubled up on Duque Caxias 4-2.

Mengao defeated Olaria 3-2 on March 5th.

My guys from Arsenal picked up a huge 1-0 win over Stoke City on Wednesday.

The Gunners win cuts Man U’s lead to a point.

The Red Devils have a game in hand.

Sebastian Squillaci nailed the match winner in the 8th minute.

The bad news is this- Cesc Fabregas and Theo Walcott were injured.

This will hurt us in the stretch run of the EPL, Champions League, and the Carling Cup finals to played on Sunday.

Arsene Wenger had this to say about the injuries to Fabregas and Walcott- It is of course a concern that he is injured but it can happen unfortunately. He was very upset, I am as well, but it is not his fault and it is not my fault, it is part of sport. It’s strange that it happened early in the game but we have to face it. Theo is disappointed of course.

Wenger added- We did the job in a very professional way. We faced a Stoke team that defended very well, very compact, but we were intelligent, calm, patient and overall I believe that we were resilient as well when Stoke had their strong moments because we didn’t give in when they did what they do very well.

Wenger said this about the guys not playing at their nest yet still were able to come away with the win- Tonight was a night when nobody else played [well] and if you can take three points and glide closer to the top, that means that your team is really hungry for success. The number of games we play, not to make a mistake at any stage… we were less sharp creatively but you could feel the team did not want to make a mistake and that’s a very positive sign.

What about the pressure on Sir Alex and his guys- Well we all have pressure now because that’s the period where it starts, in March, everyone is under pressure. Chelsea will be, Man United will be, everybody is, but that’s part of being in the position we are in. Three months ago when we lost here against Newcastle, who would have given us the chance of even being in the top four. We have come back in a strong position and I will not complain, I am very happy that we have a chance to be in there.

At the Copa Libertadores Internacional picked a huge 4-0 win over Chiapas in Group Six play.

Mario Ariel Bolatti hit the daily double for Colorado in the “W”.

The other Brasileiro side Fluminense and Nacional tied at nil-nil.

Internacional is top dog in Group Six with four points.

Flu is in second place in Group Three with two points.

My guys from Arsenal came crashing back to earth when League One side Leyton Orient scored a late goal to send the Gunners into a fifth round replay at our house Emirates.

The winner will take all the marbles and earn the right to face Man U in the quarterfinals of the FA Cup.

Orient’s Jonathan Tehoue nailed the match changer in the 89th minute.

Tehoue’s shot was a closer range blast right through the wickets.

Jonathan Tehoue spilt the “D” to set up the match-tying goal.

Arsene Wenger rested most of the regular guys who played in the stunning 2-1 win over Barca in the first leg of the Champions League first round knockout stage.

Wenger had this to say about the tie with Leyton Orient- We have played the game with the right attitude and could not fault our fighting spirit, but you also have to give credit to Leyton Orient because they never gave up and fought very hard,” Wenger said.

“As long as you do not score the second goal, that can happen. Overall it is a disappointment, but we are still in the competition and will now play at home. The most important thing is to go through.

“You had a match against a team which is technically superior, but fighting spirit has a chance.”

Wenger, though, continued: “The most negative side of our result today is one more fixture and in fairness that is not what we needed.

“We have had problems in the cups against teams from the lower divisions to finish them off, but also we have given a lot.

“Sometimes, mentally, a breather would not be bad.

“What people forget is that since the beginning of December, we have played every three days, so sometimes to have a week where we could give the players a little breather would not be bad.”

Wenger added this-”It will make their budget for the season, if not more, and to scrap that off would be a blow to all the smaller clubs in England.

“They suffer already, so you would not have a lot of supporters to do that (scrap replays).”

Man City won their fourth replay against Notts County 5-0.

Bolton defeated Fulham 1-0 to advance to the quarterfinals.

Still giddy over my guys from Arsenal huge win over Barca on Wednesday I can’t wait until March 8th when we go at it again at their house Camp Nou.

This should be a head knocker.

Cesc Fabregas had this to say about the match- “It’s a massive victory,” he said “For me it’s the best game I’ve experienced in terms of quality and intensity. They had the ball, they went for it. We had the ball, we went for it. For me, I’ve never experienced a game with so much quality on the pitch from both teams.

“It was the right result and it was definitely uplifting. We are in the Final of the Carling Cup, we have the FA Cup coming on Sunday and two games coming up before the second leg. I’m hoping this will be good for the team because since the New Year we haven’t lost any games.

“Apart from the disappointment against Newcastle we’ve won everything. At the moment we’re on a good run and we want to keep it going.”

Fabregas said about the second leg- “The second leg will be very difficult and we have to perform very well,” he said. “They will go out to win and we want to attack. You never know what can happen in this type of game. We will have to play
our hearts out.

“But we want to prove we can win a trophy like this one. There are 90 minutes to go and we’re playing against a big team. If you want to beat them you have to give everything.”

Arsene Wenger said that Barca is still the favorite- ”I am highly delighted. It was a special football night,” said Wenger. ”The game promised a lot and fulfilled that promise. It was two exceptional teams who tried always to be positive.

‘We are not favourites now, but what is important is the belief that we have a chance. Barcelona are still favourites. We know now that we can beat them, though. We did not know that last year.

‘This gives us a chance to go to Barcelona with belief. Every game is difficult but we will prepare well and be highly focused.”

Wenger added- ”Against Barcelona you are exposed many times when they have possession but we kept resilient and strong,” Wenger said. ”The problem with their possession is that if you are a fraction late you are in trouble. You have to be tight with the marking and if you don’t it is difficult.

”We were prepared mentally to live with that. Usually we have the ball more than our opponents but we knew that 60% of the time we would have to be focused on them.”

Barca coach Pepe Guardiola said this- ”I think we were okay. We have lost the first leg so we have to win the second leg,” he said. ”We controlled the play for most of the match but we know they can play very well positionally. They are very good and very fast when they counter-attack.

”If we analyse this result it is not too bad. I think in general I am happy with the performance. But we need to score goals in the second leg. They will attack and we will attack too.”

This will be a wild and woolly affair at Camp Nou.

It sure looked like my guys from Arsenal were going to get blown out by the mighty Barcelona guys.

My heart was in my throat when David Villa blasted a close range bomb that found its mark in the 26th minute.

Barca had it pedal to the medal.

We had several really good chances but Arsenal couldn’t crack the code.

Instead of quitting the guys took the game by the scruff of the net and pressed the attack.

The dividends paid off handsomely in the second half.

Robin Van Persie found a crease between the keeper’s left hand and the short post.

Whamo bamo the ball finds it destination in the 77th minute.

The match winner came in the 83rd minute.

Jack Wilshere set it up with a great pass to mate Cesc Fabregas. Then it was Katie bar the door.

We are off to the races.

Andrei Arshavin nailed it to give Gunner nation a huge 2-1 win over invincible Barcelona.

Game, set, and match to Arsenal.

This was a huge win for us.

Now the Gunners are in the drivers seat for the second leg.

Barca and Arsenal will play March 8th at Camp Nou.

Arsene Wenger said about the second leg- Tonight’s result gives us a chance to go to Barcelona with belief. We know it will be a very difficult game but we will prepare well. We will be highly focused and we go to win our game. It is a special lift for my team. Our players have shown exceptional strength tonight and togetherness. This will enforce that.

This was Arsene Wenger’s first win against Barcelona.

The headman had this to say about the “W”- I am highly delighted because it was a special football match. The game promised a lot and absolutely fulfilled the promises between two exceptional football teams who always try to play. We were not only strong on the physical side but on the mental side, we kept resilient. We took advantage of one special piece of skill from Van Persie and the goal for the second was after some good build-up play. It was a special night. When we suffered, the fans were still very positive.

Tottenham picked a huge first leg away 1-0 win over AC Milan.

Peter Crouch nailed the match winner in the 80th minute.

He unleashed a blast from 12 yards out to seal the deal for Harry me Boy Redknapp and his Spurs chargers.

My guys from Arsenal will take on powerhouse Barcelona at our house Emirates on Wednesday.

This will be balls to the wall match between to very good sides.

Robin Van Persie needs to step up big time.

Jack Wilshere needs to rip the twines as well as Cesc Fabregas.

The “D” needs to play airtight.

The guys can’t afford to have a brain fart and let Messi and his mates have clean looks and shots at the net.

If this happens it will be a long night.

Wenger says his club is ready- The only thing I can say is we are in an ideal condition to face them,” said the Frenchman. “We cannot complain. We have the belief, the confidence and the players available. We are 90 per cent in February and that was not the case last year. I feel we are in an ideal position to face them.”

We just want to show how good we are,” he said. “We want to show the belief we have in our game, in our quality, more than looking at the past.

“We have practiced. We are determined, focused and we want to win this competition. We know we face the super-favourites of this competition but the only way to do it is to knock them out.”

Defender Diaby said it is not all about Messi- We need to be focused on the way we defend and not be focused on one man,” the Frenchman told Arsenal.com. “We know that individually he is really good but if we do the job together I think it will be difficult for him. For me, that is the best way to control him and control the game.

“When you focus on one man it is never a good idea because they have also got Iniesta, Xavi, Villa – so many players. The most important thing is to be well organised defensively and, when we have got the ball, play our game.

“I watch Barcelona play quite often because I like the way they play, the way they move and obviously they have got the best player in the world.

“We know that this is a great team but we have a very good side with very good players. We can beat anybody in the world. We just need to be conscious of our qualities and play our game.”

He is so right. The other guys will kill ya tamben.

Alex Song chimed in stating the Chelsea showed hwo to beat Barca- “The reference point for us has to be the Chelsea match from December, when we pressed them very high from the first minute and gave them no room.

“We need to do that to Barcelona – they have a similar style to us and it should be a pleasure for everyone to watch.

“I can’t wait. Everyone’s talking about it, not just here – a lot of my friends have been in touch wanting to come over and watch.

Alex Song said this about RVP- “I’ve always said that Robin is one of the best strikers in the world – he’s had bad injuries but has come back so well.

“When Robin is 100 per cent fit, you know he’s dangerous at any time. He’s scored a lot of goals in the past few weeks and helped the team in other ways; it’s very important to have him fit, because he’s one of the guys who gives you a real chance.”

Let’s see if we can kill the giants from Barca.

Champions League is back in action this week. My guys from Arsenal have a hot date with super team Barcelona.

This puppy will take place at our house-Emirates.

Wenger had this to say about the upcoming super battle on Wednesday- “I believe, if we manage to get them under pressure, we will create chances,” says the manager.

“Ideally that is something we can work on before the game. Sometimes you have that extra special focus in these kind of games which makes you more efficient, so hopefully we have that.

“The question at the Nou Camp you can wonder is will we change the way we play? But here [at Emirates Stadium], we will try to play to our strengths. We will try to attack the other team.

“If we play in the final third defensively, we will not only be happy, it will not be our game.”

The head guy said the guys must be in great shape também- Personally I believe we go into the Barcelona game in better shape than last year and Robin is part of that,” said the Arsenal manager.

“We had many uncertainties [last year], the team for me had less confidence. Now we have matured better and we can certainly compete technically better with them.

“In the first game last season, Robin was injured, Gallas went off at half time, Arshavin went off after 15 minutes while Song and Fabregas [didn’t play] in the second game. We are in a better shape this time.”

“They are not just good at attacking, they also defend very well and for us it will be very important to get out of their pressure.

“If we can get out of that pressure then I think we can be dangerous so for us we have to think about what we do and how we do it.”

Barca has Lionel Messi, David Villa, and Pedro as their strikers. Messi is the golden boot leader 24 goals in 23 matches.

This is totally unreal.

Messi is on fire.

His mates Villa has 15 and Pedro has 12.

This is 51 of the 71 total goals this year.

Unreal folks.

The Gunners will have their hands full.

“D” must be at a premium.

My Gunners have a huge match coming up this Saturday against Wolves at our house Emirates.

Wolverhampton pulled the upset of the year beating Sir Alex and his boys last Saturday.

This was a huge win for Mick McCarthy and his chargers.

Let’s see if Arsenal will take charge of the match and win this sucker.

Arsene Wenger had this to say about what his guys need to do against Wolves- “[We will repair the damage] by focusing on the game, it’s part of our job,” said Wenger.

“We want to do well in the next game. Time helps, focusing on the next game helps and that’s all we can do. We can take a lot of encouragement from Saturday’s game as well.

“We have played 12 games since January 1 and we have played outstandingly well but to go down to ten men had a psychological impact and certainly a physical one as well.

“I don’t remember that [losing a four-goal lead before]. But in the second half, you must say that we were really unlucky with some decisions.”

Man U has a huge match with Man City on Saturday.

This puppy will be played at Old Trafford.

You can bet Sir Alex and the Boys will be loaded for bear.

My guys from Arsenal have a huge match at home against Wigan. Sure, the Latics are just about at the butt end of the table. Actually, Wigan is in 18th place with 22 points.

We have to go balls to the wall.

Arsenal needs to kick ass and take names.

Fabregas, Robin Van Persie, Samir Nasri, Andrei Arshavin, and the rest need to step up to the plate and pepper the goal with salvo after salvo.

Take no prisoners.

Play tight “D”.

And most of all do not and I repeat do not give up stupid cheap goals.

Then and only then, we will keep pace with leader board.

Samir Nasri is our top goal producer with nine.

Arsene Wenger spoke about injury to Thomas Vermaelen- all quotes www.arsenal.com

It was not a real surgery, it is what you call a procedure. I am not a medical specialist but what they took off is what you call the plantaris tendon. This is a structure that is very rarely injured and they tell me many people do not have one at all. It’s a little tendon next to the Achilles tendon where he had the friction.

No. It is a very light one, he is walking today. The time to be back, if all goes well, they tell me is six weeks. A bit more, a bit less I don’t know. But I count six weeks.

To be back competitively. Two weeks without training and four weeks preparation.

Samir Nasri led Arsenal to an impressive 3-1 win over Leeds in the third round of The FA Cup.

Samir Nasri had a goal and two assists in the win that sent us to the fourth round of The FA Cup.

Way to go garoto.

Nasri started off the goal parade in the 5th minute.

Samir Nasri received a great pass from mate Andre Arshavin. Nasri gathered the ball and faked two Leeds defenders out of their jocks and nailed the winner to make it 1-0.

Bacary Sagna nailed a close range winner in the 35th minute for a 2-0 Gunners lead.

Leeds cut the gap to 2-1 in the 37th minute.

Bradley Johnson smashed the winner to make it nervous time for the Arsenal faithful.

Not to despair Arsenal put this sucker outta reach in the 76th minute when Robin Van Persie struck for gold in the 76th minute to make 3-1.

Game, asset, and match to my Gunner guys.

Samir Nasri said this about the Gunners performance- We wanted to start really strongly. We scored after five minutes and tried to play our game even though the pitch was a little difficult.

“We want to win every competition and this cup is really important to us.”

The head guy Arsene Wenger had these diddy’s about the Gunners win over Leeds- We had both a good result and a good performance. We had quality in our attitude, spirit and focus. We started strongly and we played the football we like to play for the best part of the game. Leeds never gave up but we looked just too strong tonight for them. I think we got a warning in the first game and we [learnt] the lesson. That shows that my players are intelligent and that is a good sign.

Wenger added- have quality on the bench, that helps especially when your legs get tried. The incisive passing of the players can make the difference. I was impressed by Leeds over the two games, by the way they were organised, by their spirit, by their physical qualities and I think they have a chance to come back to the Premier League.

Up next for Arsenal in the fourth round of The FA Cup is Huddersfield.

Wenger said this about our next round opponent -It gives us a good opportunity to play at home in front of our home fans. Of course we will be favourites and I believe we had that in our mind tonight, the fact that if we qualify we play at home. I believe the team goes from strength to strength with great spirit and we have shown again tonight that we are hungry.
