The international break is done so it’s back to EPL this weekend. The grand master of head games and blarney Sir Alex Ferguson is at again.

Sir Alex thinks that five or six clubs will compete for the title this year.

He said that Man City, Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal are all in the title hunt.

“I think you could say that five or six teams will be involved,” he told Sky Sports News. “It’s always hard to win the league.

“It’s a league that if you look at it, in the South you have the London teams like Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea and then you have ourselves, Manchester City and Liverpool in the North. It’s a really, really difficult league to win.”

Spurs is a bottom feeder while my Gunners are stuck in 17th place after three matches. Actually Tottenham has played only two matches.

Let’s hope the crafty one Sir Alex is right.

Man U is rebuilding its club with a ton of younger players. This is working very well right now for the mighty boys from Old Trafford.

The only gaffer is in goal. De Gea has been a clown in goal on several occasions.

Sir Alex said- “You have to try and build teams that will last for a few years,” Ferguson said. “We have done that quite successfully over the years. This is another example of trusting the young players and giving them opportunities.”

He also spoke about Chelsea- “They have tremendous experience with the likes of Frank Lampard, Didier Drogba, Petr Cech, John Terry, Alex, Nicolas Anelka, Fernando Torres – there aren’t any young kids in that team.

“But they don’t have 36 or 37-year-olds like Ryan Giggs. Lampard and Drogba are 33, Anelka is 32 – not dissimilar to (Michael) Carrick and Rio Ferdinand, and we wouldn’t be saying they are dead and buried, would we?

So why should they be? “They’ll still be a big threat and we expect them to challenge.”

From my perspective Arsenal is in a world of hurt. Let’s hope all the changes that have been made will work out.

We will find out real quick.

I hope that I am wrong but this will be a season from hell.

The chairman Peter Hill said this about Wenger getting the heave-hoe- “It’s complete and utter rubbish and absolute nonsense. I think he is happy enough and we are happy enough,” Hill-Wood told the Daily Star.

“We have brought some new players in and although I don’t know that much about many of them I think, generally speaking, they are going to improve the squad.”

In American when management gives the manager or head coach a vote of confidence this is translated into meaning his ass is getting ready to get fired if things don’t turn around fast.

My Gunners have a hot date with Swansea City on Saturday at our house Emirates.

Finally my guys from Arsenal played with heart and character. My Gunners picked up a huge 3-1 win over Udinese to advance to the group stage of the Champions League on a 3-1 aggregate.

Sure Udinese scored a goal in the 39th minute however the guys came out breathing fire in the second half and took the match by the throat.

Robin Van Persie scored in the 59th minute.

RVP nailed home winner off a dribble drive by Gervinho on the left byline. Gervinho flicks the ball on net. Robin Van Persie deposits this sucker into the back of the net.

This makes it one all.

Arsenal now has the lead on the away goal advantage 1-0.

The match changer happened three minutes later when the ref called a handball on the Gunners Vermaelen in the box.

Up steps Udinese’s Di Natale. Keeper Szczesny stares him down.

The run up. The shot to the top left shelf. Szczesny dives. He lifts his left paw and safety flips the ball over cross bar.

Game, set, and match to Arsenal.

This save by the young keeper was the difference in the match. If Udinese had scored this would have completely changed the complexion of the match.

Arsenal had gained the big MO.

The Gunners would have been dead in the water if Di Natale didn’t do the choke city.

Instead this puppy stayed tied on all until Theo Walcott scored in the 69th minute.

Walcott showed why he is one of the up and coming young studs in English futebol.

He created this goal off a one on two situation.

Think Michael Jordan or George “The Ice Man’ Gervin for all you hoops fans.

This win was a biggie for my Gunners.

If we would have lost you could have stuck a fork in our season.

Up next is Man U at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Finally Gunner land has something to cheer about.

Way to go garoto.

The EPL gets underway this weekend. With the crazy rioters in London, the match between Tottenham and Everton is cancelled.

The other puppies will go on as scheduled.

My guys from Arsenal battle Toons outta the box at Newcastle’s house St. James Park.

The Gunners will be without Cesc Fabregas who will be on his way to Barcelona.

Wenger took the obtuse road-which means this cat is gone.

We are all replaceable. All the cemeteries are full of replaceable people,” he said.

“But you do not want to lose big players, we fight to have big players so you do not want to lose them.

“I’m not disappointed in Cesc’s behaviour. My personal feelings are not important. I take nothing personally.”

“I have not been disappointed by Cesc’s attitude and not by Samir’s attitude. They have both been professional.

“The transfer speculation is disruptive but not an excuse. We have to deal with that, it is part of our job. People come in and out.

“We have had speculation every year. I believe it is part of our job and we have to deal with that.”

Wenger insisted that losing Nasri and Fabregas means Arsenal are no longer a big club.

“Manchester United let (Cristiano) Ronaldo go, do you think they are not a big club?”

Nasri is just about outta Arsenal também.

Newcastle will be without Hatem Ben Arfa won’t be in the lineup.

Liverpool battles Sunderland.

Queens Park Rangers open their promotion to the big boys against Bolton.

Chelsea and Man U open their respective seasons on Sunday.

The Red Devils battle West Brom.

The Blues take on Stoke City.

It’s one week. The EPL season begins for real. My Gunners will have a lot to prove this year.

There are many questions that remain unanswered.

Will Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri be with the club this season or will they go the way of the transfer window.

If Wenger uses Fabregas in this round of the Champions League qualifying round he won’t be able to play in the Champions League Group stage if Barcelona is the destination or any other European club.

Wenger said this about the questions hanging over Gunner land- “Ideally I would have finished all [our business], but it doesn’t work like that. “We work very hard, we are non-stop working throughout the summer. It’s all kinds of things you meet during the transfer market, but I can understand the impatience of people.” Arsenal will battle Udinese n the final qualifying round. The winner of this home and away series will advance to the Group Stage of the Champions League.

The first leg will be played at our house Emirates on August 16th.

The return leg will be played on August 24th at Bianconeri’s house in Italy.

Wenger said this about their Italian opponent – “I would say [the draw is] difficult but possible,” he said on Friday ahead of the Eusebio Cup in Lisbon. “Who would want to play against an Italian opponent? We know we will have to be at our best to qualify.“Udinese have lost Sanchez and Zapata [this summer] but they have many other good players. They have Di Natale and plenty of players who have quality.

“Let’s try to be at our best as quickly as we can because it is important for us to go through in the Champions League.”

In our final tune up of the season my Gunners lost to Benfica 2-1.

Robin Van Persie scored in the 34th minute.

My guys from Flamengo have a huge match with Coritiba at Mengao’s house in Rio de Janeiro.

Rubro-Negro is in second place while Coxa is in tenth place.

We need to win this sucker to keep Flamengo’s unbeaten string alive and well at fourteen going on fifteen.

Flamenguista and Gunner for life.

This is it folks. Two weeks and the EPL season begin.

On Sunday August 7th the Community Shield will feature EPL champs Man U verses cross-town and hated rival Man City winners of the FA Cup.

This sucker will be an old fashioned barnburner.

Sir Alex and the boys defeated Barcelona 2-1 in the World Football Challenge played in Landover, Maryland.

The Catalans didn’t play Messi and some of their top players but Barca displayed why they will be a force to be reckoned with in Spain and the Champions League.

Man U improved on the defensive end of the pitch.

Barca put a tone of pressure on the Red Devil “D”.

The Catalans only cracked the code once.

Man U has a deadly counter attack.

Nani is cat quick.

He just glides down the pitch.

Rooney played like Rooney.

Goals by Nani and Michael Owen paved the way for the Red Devils win.

Thiago scored for the Catalans in the 70th minute.

City won the Dublin Super Cup.

Man City destroyed both their opponents Airtricity 3-0 and Inter Milan 3-0.

City is for real folks.

Chelsea won the Asia Cup.

The Blues beat EPL rival Aston Villa 2-1.

My Gunners are in a world of hurt.

Once again the stupid defending rose up and bit us in the ass.

After Robin Van Persie scored 42nd minute to give us a 1-0 lead.

I thought great.

Then the wizards of stupid took over for Arsenal.

An own goal by Kyle Barton 84th minute gave of all clubs the MLS side the New York Red Bulls the Emirates Cup.

The Red Bulls defeated French side Paris St. Germain 1-0 on Saturday.

This sucks big time.

The Gunner nation could be in for a long hard assed season of heartbreak.

Wenger had this to say about the Arsenal’s crappy performance- It was a bit frustrating that it was only forwards against defence. They played very deep and didn’t come out. But it’s part of the game. I felt we looked quite stable as long as we were not making any disturbances in our organisation. The final 20 minutes were a bit like yesterday, you could see the continuity in our game went. Overall, I am very happy with the two days because we were confronted with two teams who were very committed, very physical and very strong defensively. We were tested. On both days, we played very well for an hour. We have nothing more to offer at the moment. Hopefully that will change in the next two weeks.

Arsene Wenger added this about Vermaelen and Koscielny-I felt the two centre backs were very good, in my opinion, and played very well. I am quite happy with the performance of the centre backs. If you look at the goal we conceded today, I don’t think it comes from the centre backs.

Asked about this results tells us – I don’t think you can compare friendly games. They played in the final third today. We weren’t playing in the championship where you have to win games. It’s not the same. Today they just had to keep it tight at the back and wait for their chances. They did very well but when you go into your championship and you are expected to make the game, to take the initiative, it becomes a different game.

Jack Wilshire was hurt in the puppy- It is not very serious. They say he might be out for the whole of next week because he has an ankle inflammation. But he has not torn anything. He is a quick healer usually and a tough boy so I hope he will be quicker than the medical predictions. The England game is on August 10 and I don’t know [whether he will be available]. They told me he might be out next week. If he is out next week, he will not play against Benfica so he will certainly not play for England.

All of this BS is fine and dandy in coach speak. In the real world it is bupkis- não serve para nada.

This is pure bull crap.

Gunner nation has heard all of this before.

It is SOS – Same old shit.

Wenger needs to go.

Arsenal has the same problems it did last year and the year before that and the year before that.

Need I say more.

I am tired of this garbage.

A change is needed at the top.

This is pure insanity.

Insanity means doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results.

The Gunners are nuts.

Gunner for life.

It’s the weekend and it’s time for the EPL. The guys are back in action. I love it.

Man U has a hot date at Old Trafford with Fulham.

The Red Devils are in the catbird seat with 66 points.

My guys from Arsenal are in the second slot with 59 points.

City is third with 56.

Wayne Rooney will be MIA due to cursing out a ref in last weeks match against West Ham.

Sir Alex and the boys should not miss a beat with the leagues top scorer Dimitar Berbatov. Berbatov has found the back of the net 20 times.

Rio Ferdinand will be back anchoring the “D”.

Man U cannot afford to be lax in this puppy.

Remember my guys from Arsenal have a game in hand.

The Gunners battle Blackpool at Bloomfield Park.

The Seasiders have a habit of playing the big boys tough at home.

We have to be very careful.

The Barca hangover is still a loom of gloom over the Gunners heads.

Robin Van Persie, Samir Nasri, and the rest need to attack, attack, and stop giving up stupid goals.

Cesc Fabregas will play. Wenger said- “Cesc is fit to start,” confirmed the manager at his pre-match press conference. “We have some problems with Sagna and with Song, who will be out [with a knee injury], and Walcott as well.

Wenger went on to say- “Song definitely won’t play but he should be available for next week. There is a big doubt about Walcott, it’s his ankle again. He will have a late fitness test.

“Sagna has a knee problem and has a scan today [Friday]. Everybody else should be available.”

City is nipping at my Gunners heels in third place only three points out.

City takes on Liverpool on Monday at Anfield.

Chelsea is at the friendly confines of Stamford Bridge to battle heave –hoe bound Wigan.

Gunner for life.

Chelsea out shot out played but didn’t out score under manned pink wearing Copenhagen in a nil-nil draw at the Blues house Stamford Bridge.

Thanks be to God the Blues scored two away goals at Copenhagen’s house.

On to the next round Chelsea goes.

The Blues win 2-0 on aggregate.

Real Madrid cruised to a 3-1 win over Lyon, 4-1 on aggregate.

The fake Ronaldo didn’t show up in the scorebook.

Once again, the Cristiano Ronaldo doesn’t show up in the real competition.

The fake Ronaldo is a great league player but on the world stage, he sucks big time.

Now on to the stupid refereeing in the Barca- Arsenal match is back in the news again. UEFA has brought charges against Arsene Wenger and Samir Nasri for bad language towards Swiss ref Massimo Busacca.

This guy is an idiot.

He should be shot at dusk for his miss handing the match over to Barca.

Can you say the fix is in.

Wenger had this to say- “I deny completely any charge,” Wenger said. “I do not understand where that comes from. It is a shame for me that the referee took the decision to send Robin van Persie off. It was the wrong decision.

“The first leg was a fantastic advert for football and the second game has been destroyed. People now will only remember the sending off. It would be good for UEFA to show some humility, to apologise for what has happened, not charge people who have done nothing wrong.”

”Who has been punished is Arsenal Football Club. We are out of the Champions League – we have lost one of our big ambitions. We have been punished with a lot of damages and, on top of that, we have to say sorry to UEFA.

“We have done nothing wrong. They organised the competition; they named the referees who come to the games.

“When you have a football game of that stature, you cannot come out with decisions like that and show a lot of arrogance on top of that. We can all understand that we can make wrong decisions, but after that it becomes dictatorship. It’s not any more common sense.”

“I will keep that for UEFA if they really want to know because I will have some interesting statements to make about some statements made by people who were not supposed to say what they said,” he said.

“You can check any statement I made on television after the game. If I have done anything wrong I am ready to be charged.

“As for what is said in the tunnel, if you can get only one thing where I have come out on what has been said against me or against the referee during my 15 years in England, I will pay for you to have a big holiday.”

Gunner and Flamenguista for life.

Chicharito hit the daily double to lead Sir Alex and the boys past Marseille 2-1.

An own goal by Wes Brown in the 82nd minute made it nervous time for Man U but the Red Devils survived and moved on to the quarterfinals.

Man U came away with a couple of really bad injuries- Hammies to John O‘Shea and Rafael.

This could hurt the Red Devils in their stretch run for the EPL title.

It wasn’t a pretty win for Sir Alex and the gang.

Marseille had at least four good scoring chances but the French side came up empty.

Inter came back from a 2-1 deficit to beat Bayern Munich 3-2.

Goals by Wesley Sneijder in the 63rd minute and Goran Pandev in the 88th minute sent the Italian side into the quarterfinals.

Both sides were tied three all on aggregate But Inter had the better of it on away goals three to two.

This puppy was played in Bayern’s house.

Later today Chelsea battles Copenhagen at Stamford Bridge and Real Madrid battles Lyon.

After two pitiful performances by my Gunners headman Arsene Wenger said the guys have to dig deep inside and come out fighting.

These are his actual words taken from www.arsenal.com “Yes we have it,” said the Frenchman. “I don’t question that. We played Wednesday against Leyton Orient, Saturday against Sunderland, Tuesday against Barcelona with ten men and against Man United.

“It’s a very, very difficult schedule. It’s been very difficult for the players but they have never shown any sign of weakness mentally. Even on Saturday they have put in absolutely every effort and can only be proud of how much they fought.”

Wenger admits his butt is on the hot seat- “I question myself always, don’t worry,” said the manager. “But If I listened to everybody then it would be a miracle that we are still playing for the title with ten games to go.

“Nobody in England believed we could even fight for the top four. The fact we are in the position we are in I think deserves a lot of credit.

”I don’t know [if winning it now would be my greatest achievement]. I let other people judge my performances. The only thing I can say is that I’m ready to give absolutely everything to do it.

“I’m confident we will but we need now to work to recover.”

My guys Gunners were unceremoniously given the heave-hoe from another Cup competition.

Man U took it to Arsenal 2-0.

This gives my Gunners two straight losses since the comeback win against Barcelona two weeks ago.

This is not good garoto.

One thing I have learned and observed over the years is this when Sir Alex and his boys have stunk the joint out and has their collective backs against the wall the Red Devils will come out breathing fire.

Man U will kick ass and take names.

This is what the mighty boys from Old Trafford did on this fine Saturday.

Sir Alex tweaked the line up.

He inserted Fabio De Silva in the starting line up.

This paid handsome dividends for the Red Devils.

Fabio scored the opening goal of the match in the 28th minute.

A great pass set up Fabio for the goal. His brother Rafael started this baby off. Rafael feeds Wayne Rooney. Rooney hands the ball off to Hernandez. Hernandez fires a shot right at the keeper Almunia. Block. Save. Kick out. Score off the rebound Fabio.

Rooney seals the deal in the 49th minute with a rebound header into the back of the net.

Game, set, and match to Sir Alex and the boys.

Man U makes it to their 29th FA Cup semifinal.

Give Sir Alex credit for what he does best win futebol games.

The old master moved his two Brasileiros up and coming stars into the attacking zone.

This tweak gave the old fox the win.

My Gunners are on the ropes.

This is not good.

Getting robbed in the Champions League and then stinking the joint out against a hated rival four days later is not a good sign.

We are on the ropes getting ready to get knocked out.

Maybe it’s time to change skippers.

When a team hits a plateau usually management will get rid of the guy who guided them there for another.

In Arsenal’s last four matches, the Gunners have one win, one loss, and one draw.

My Gunners have one chance at a title The EPL.

This season is looking mighty shaky.

Sir Alex out coached Arsene Wenger.

This is what Wenger had to say about the match with Man U -We had good control of the game. Manchester United had very few chances, they scored with almost their first attempt on goal. After that, we put them in a position they like to be [in] – on the counter attack. They are strong and they are clinical in front of goal. In the second half we had a good opportunity to come back to 1-1 and two minutes later it was 2-0. As long as you cannot come back to 2-1, they are comfortable. In the end, I cannot fault our effort. Things do not go our way at the moment. We have to keep going, support each other and come back strong. It was a strange game, we put a lot of effort in. At the moment, every goalkeeper against us is Man of the Match. I still believe, subconsciously, the disappointment of Tuesday night has played a part today. You could see something has gone, not in our effort or our attitude, but confidence wise.

On the EPL Title- I believe that we can do it. It is a good test for us now, to show that we can regroup, show our mental strength and respond quickly. We have a week without a midweek game, that is the first time for a long time. Unfortunately, we lost Johan Djourou for the rest of the season. It will be difficult. We have a good opportunity to show that we are solid.

Is the season heading into the shits- No. I am very disappointed. We lost three challenges in a strange way. We were not outplayed today but we were punished by a team who were more clinical than us.

In non coach speak this means yes, folks the Gunners are in deep trouble. This match with Man U was huge. We lost it and now we are on the verge of going into a tail spin.

I think my Gunners are still hung over from getting robbed at Barca.

In plain and simple english Arsenal is in deep do-do.

Wenger said this about the Barca robbery- I was very disappointed but I was not affected. I thought we would qualify today. They are always very efficient and if you do not take your chances you don’t win the games against them.

You weren’t but the players were and they played like it. It is the coach’s responsibility to get the guys focused on the goal at hand.

It is time for Wenger to go.

Gunner for life.

I am glad Arsene Wenger is not backing down from what he said about the shit head of a ref Massimo Busacca and his stupidly.

Yes, the Gunners played without passion after RVP was sent off.

Who wouldn’t!

This is like a kick in the nuts.

Look, the fix was in.

FIFA is part of the problem.

There has been an axe to grind with the EPL for the last few years because Chelsea, Liverpool, Man U, and Arsenal made it to the semi-finals or finals the last three outta four years.

Wenger had this to say about the ref – “I don’t understand where that comes from,” he said. “It is the kind of thing that is difficult to understand.

“It is a shame the referee took the decision to send off Robin van Persie because it was the wrong decision. The first game was a fantastic advert for football and the second game has been destroyed. The only thing that people remember is that the sending off killed the game.

“This decision frustrated us and frustrated everybody who loves football.”

What he said privately to the idiot Busacca was not revealed- “I will keep that for UEFA if they really want to know because I will have some interesting statements to make about some statements made by people who were not supposed to say what they said.
