The Blues took care of business. Chelsea destroyed Queens Park Rangers 6-1. Fernando Torres finally earned his keep. Torres led the attack with a hat trick. The win give the Blues 61 points plus the all important goal difference. Chelsea has a plus 23.
This years top four spots could come down to goal difference. The race for the last two you’re outta here places could come down to goal difference também.
Chelsea has two titles they are fighting for The FA Cup and the Champions League crown.
Chelsea and Liverpool will play back-to-back games next week. They’ll battle for the FA Cup on Saturday and then hook up again on Tuesday in an EPL match.
Spurs picked a huge 2-0 win over Blackburn. This was one of those must win situations for Tottenham. This win snaps a two match-losing streak. The bleeding is stopped for now.
Rafael Van der Vaart and Kyle Walker ripped the twines for Spurs.
Tottenham is now in fourth place on goal difference. Both Spurs and Toons have 62 points but Tottenham has a plus 20 while Newcastle is a plus seven. Chelsea is in sixth place with 61 points.
Spurs, the Blues, and Toons will play on Wednesday. Tottenham- Bolton and Chelsea-Toons are the wars to be waged.
The big match will be City and Man U later today. It would be cool if the Citizens win this sucker and thus throw the title race into a wide-open affair.
Crazier things have happened.

My guys from Arsenal once again found a way to stink the joint out. Sure we tied one all with Stoke City but this getting beyond ridicules. This is three straight matches without the “W.” Arsenal can thank their lucky stars that Newcastle ran into a buzz saw at Wigan. The Wig guys kicked Toons ass 4-0.
My Gunners now have a four-point lead over Newcastle.
Arsenal has 66 points and Toons have 62.
The Potters started off the match with a goal by Peter Crouch in the 9th minute. Crouch noodled home the strike dead center of the box. Mathew Etherington set this puppy up with a great cross into the box.
My Gunners found the answer in the 14th minute. Robin Van Persie booted home the close range bomb to level this sucker at one all.
This was all she wrote. Game over. A tie for Arsenal but this is not going well right now.
The guys look outta sorts. There seems to be a lack of effort and drive to get the win. Sure we are locked in third place but with two matches left after this week my Gunners could wind up on the outside looking in.
Wenger said this after the tie. All quotes taken from www.arsenal.com
“I believe that it was a game where we have shown great character, great battling qualities. It was a game of two different approaches – one very direct in the air and one who tries to play on the ground. Both teams are good at what they do and that’s why I think it was still an interesting game. We had good chances, especially in the first half. In the second half I felt our fluency dropped a bit in midfield – we still had chances though, especially a penalty that was not given. Overall we deserved at least a point and I can only give credit to my players for their battling qualities and the way they responded to what Stoke offered us – full commitment, well-organised, direct. We did not always cope with it but today I felt we did.”
Wenger on the fans giving him a hard time and mocking him.
“I focus on what I love in my job and the way my players behave on the pitch. I am not responsible for the way people behave in the stands. If you want to stop that it is easy to stop but I cannot influence it. I have had so much [criticism] in England, I have been here for 15 years, and basically I don’t hear it because I am focused on the game.”

Spurs plays Blackburn later today. Chelsea is at home against Queens Park Rangers.
A win by Tottenham would put the Spurs at 62 points. Tottenham, Toons, and the Blues each have a game in hand. This game will be played on Wednesday.
A Blues win would give them 61 points.
Everton killed Fulham 4-0. Wolves came back from a 4-2 deficit to tie Swansea City four all. Sunderland and Bolton tied at two all. West Brom and Aston Villa battled to a nil-nil draw.
Liverpool stopped the bleeding with a 3-0 win over Norwich City. Luis Suarez hit the hit trick for the Reds.
Wolves are eighty-sixth. Blackburn sits in 19th place with 31 points. It looks like the Rovers are whale meat. Bolton is one step to safety with 34 points. QPR is almost in the bye-bye zone with 34 points. The Latics have 37 points and they are in 16th place.
Villa sits in 15th place with 37 points.
After this week there are two matches left. Wigan, Aston Villa, and The Hoops are still in danger of getting the heave-hoe.
If Bolton wins their last three matches and either one of the three the Wigs guys, Villa, and QPR stumble the Rovers can pull the great Houdini.

The biggie match of the weekend is Man U battling Man City at the Citizens house on Monday. If Sir Alex and the Boys win the title is theirs. If City wins they will have to run the table. If a tie occurs the mighty boys from Old Trafford will have the inside track with two matches left.
My guys from Arsenal have a hot date with Stoke City at the Potters house. We suck at their place. My Gunners have only won once in their last four matches. Arsenal can’t afford a loss or a tie. Newcastle is breathing down our necks. Toons have 62 points. We have 65 points. Spurs are fourth with 59. Chelsea is fifth with 58 points.
Newcastle, Tottenham and Chelsea have a game in hand and this will be played on Wednesday.
Wenger said this about the match with the Potters. The guys have to play their own game.
“We have to combat in the air because with [Peter] Crouch up front, he is technically good, he can bring other people in, but as well we cannot forget to put the ball down and play our game.
“We are ready to win. If you think are we ready to win petty, it depends what you call petty, but we will be faithful to the way we play football, that is for sure.”

Britannia has been a graveyard for Arsenal. Wenger said this. All quotes taken from www.arsenal.com
“That’s what we want to show,” he said. “I believe that Stoke is always a difficult opponent for us and everybody. Every big team who goes to Stoke knows they get a game.
“From our side we are in a position where we want to win our remaining games. That is the only chance to master our future. We have our future in our own hands but only if we win the three games.”

“The hangovers hurt move than they used to,” Hank Junior sung many moons ago. This is probably how Barca and Real Madrid feel after their crash and burn out in the Champions League semifinals.
The idiotic pundits proclaimed these two futebol giants as the best ever. However Chelsea and Bayern Munich upset the whole apple cart. I love this stuff. I like rooting for the dogs except when it’s my teams Arsenal and the Philadelphia Eagles. Did ya notice my two clubs always break your heart. This is the life of an Eagles and Gunners fan.
This coolest thing would be if Man City runs the table to win the EPL. The Citizens haven’t won a first division title since 1967-68. Are Man City due? We will find out this coming Monday when Sir Alex and the Boys hook up with Man City at the Citizens house.
Let the fun and games begin.
River Plate got the win they needed over Instituto de Cordoba last Saturday. Los Millionaires defeated La Gloria 1-0. This win over the top dog in Nacional B kept River Plate in second place and still one point behind Instituto de Cordoba.
Rosario Central defeated Deportivo Merio 1-0 to keep the pressure on Los Millionaires to keep on winning.
La Gloria sits atop the leader board with 59 points. River Plate is second with 58 and Los Canallas is third with 56. The top two clubs are headed to the big leagues.
Boca Juniors is the main man in the Clausura with 21 points. Newell’s Old Boys are second with 21 points também but Los Xeneizes is plus nine while La Lepra is a plus seven. Tigre is third with 20, Arsenal de Sarandi is fourth with 19, and All Boys are fifth with 19
Three points separate the top five spots in the Clausura.

Real Madrid all but had their flight booked for the Champions League final. Jose Mourinho had the cards stacked in his favor. This puppy was played at Real’s house. Los Blancos had the all-important away goal yet the German side gave the Spanish guys all they could handle and then some. Cristian Ronaldo two goals gave Los Blancos the early 2-0 lead but Bayern Munich struck back and scored in the 27th minute. Arjen Robben nailed the PK to cut the gap to 2-1.
This is how it stayed until the PK shootout. Real Madrid and Bayern Munich were leveled at three all on aggregate. Then all hell broke loose in the PK shootout.
The fake Ronaldo showed his real colours once again when he missed the PK. Choke City.
His mate Kaka missed one as well too.
The Germany side nailed their first two shots. Bayern missed their next two to keep Los Blancos in it. Up stepped Ramos for Real Madrid to level this sucker at two all. Ramos wore the choke collar. He spilt the uprights. In football the shot would have been good but not in futebol.
Munich’s Bastian Schwaeinsteiger nailed this puppy and that was all she wrote. Bayern Munich won 3-1 in the PK shootout and now they are on to the Champions League finals to face Chelsea
Two of the most unlikely sides to battle it out in finals are the Blues and Der FC. The idiot pundits told us it would be Real and Barca in the finals. Dogs rule the roost.

A funny thing happened on the way to the coronation of Barcelona being the best futebol club in the world. Someone forgot to tell Chelsea. The Blues were down a man yet Chelsea hung in there and beat the mighty Camp Nou guys 3-2 on aggregate.
The goat of the match was Lionel Messi. He wore the choke collar. Messi missed a PK in the 49th minute. Clank off the cross bar. This was the match changer. Barca applied a ton of pressure but couldn’t push the rock past the keeper Petr Cech.
Barca took a 2-0 lead however the Blues scored that all-important away goal just before the half. Chelsea’s Ramires hit a wonderful chip shot over the keeper’s head in the 43rd minute to cut the lead to 2-1. This leveled the aggregate score at two all but the Blues had the advantage on away goals.
Stupid John Terry committed the ultimate sin when he nailed Barca’s Sanchez in the back in the 39th minute. Terry was sent to the sin bin. This moronic play could have cost Chelsea big time but the Blues hung on to advance to the Champions League finals.
Fernando Torres put this sucker away with a break away goal in the 90th minute to send the Blues to finals.
Ramires and Torres are the heroes. John Terry should have been the goat but his mates saved his silly ass.
Bayern Munich and Real Madrid play later today to see who fills the other finalist spot.
The German side leads 2-1 but Los Blancos have the all-important away goal.
This puppy will be played at Real’s house.
Ashley Cole said this after the upset city. ”When you lose quality centre-halves like that against a great team, it’s going to be hard.
”But we all believed. Not many people did but we did as a group of players, and that’s what happened.
”It’s hard, but we defended well as a team, got a bit lucky, and Petr (Cech) made some good saves.”

As pure fan of the game I love it. Chelsea stuck a fork in Barca. Messi is over rated. When it counts this bum doesn’t show up. Messi is a choke artist when the Championship is on the line. Mengao blew a 1-0 lead and lost to Vasco for the second straight time in the semifinals. This time it happened in the Taça Rio. This loss sent Flamenguista nation in to massive suicide watch.
Kleberson scored first for Flamengo. Ronaldinho Gaucho started the break with a great counter attack. Gaucho hit Vagner Love. Love found Kleberson who put the ball into the back of the net.
Gigante de Colina evened this sucker up and that was all she wrote. Vasco scored the next three goals to make it 3-1. Vanger Love scored a cosmetic goal for a 3-2 final score.
Felipe hit the daily double to lead Vasco to the win.
Vasco will take on Botafogo for the Taça Rio title. Fogao defeated Bangu 4-2. Gigante de Colina and Botafogo will meet this Sunday to settle who is the best in Rio de Janeiro.
Globo Esporte wrote this about the Rubro-negro fiasco.

The unthinkable happened. Man U jumped out to a 3-1 and 4-2 lead only to let Everton back into it. The Toffees and Sir Alex and the Boys ended in a four all tie. The door is now open for Man City to win this sucker. All the Citizens have to do is win their last four matches and the title is theirs.
Man U blew it big time. The mighty boys from Old Trafford’s back line have been their problem all season long. The Red Devils are not that good defensively. This has been their weakness all year long.
The Rooney Man hit the daily double.
For Everton Nikica Jelivic added a daily também.
This tie could have stuck a stake in Man U’s title hopes.
The Citizens last title in the First Division came in 1967-68.
City took care of their end of the bargain. The Citizens had little trouble with Wolves winning 2-0. This win couple with Man U’s tie has thrown the title race open with three matches left.
Part of me roots for the dog. City hasn’t won bupkis since 1968. I love it when a team comes outta nowhere to win the whole banana. All the idiot pundits said the race is over all have egg on their faces. First the moron pundits gave it to City. Next up the Citizens fell on hard time and this allowed Man U to take the lead. Now it’s Sir Alex and the guys time to stumble. Let’s remember the famous saying “It ain’t over till the fat lady sings.”
The EPL will probably be decided when Man U and City hook up next Monday at the Citizens house. If City wins they will be level on points and must win their final two matches. If Sir Alex and the Boys win they will clinch the title.
The race is on.
Roberto Mancini said this after the big win. “”I am pleased with this form but now we have three very difficult games, it could not be more difficult. We are there – I think they have a bigger chance, more than us in this moment. But we have another chance.”

Sir Alex said this after the guys blew a 3-1 and 4-2 leads that resulted in a four all tie with Everton. “”Yes, definitely,” said Ferguson, when asked if it was the most important derby he has known. “We’ve given them the initiative, there is no doubt about that.
“It makes the game at the Etihad a really important game. A decider really. There has been an expectancy from City that it could be their decider, but it’s our decider too.”

My guys from Arsenal and Chelsea battled to a nil-nil draw. My Gunners came out flat-footed. The guys didn’t have their usual punch in their step. The Blues applied the pressure from the outset. Good defending by my Gunners kept us in the match. Sure we turned up the heat from the three quarters mark of the first half on but Robin Van Persie and company couldn’t quit flip the switch.
RVP had several really good chances but he was off the mark. He looked like he was pressing instead of playing instinctual futebol. RVP would over dribble or shoot and miss the mark by that much when he had the chance to put the rock into the back of the net.
Robin Van Persie hasn’t scored in his last two matches.
Once again the old bug a boo is killing us. A great build up to the attack but the final ball to set up the goal to score is way off. This sucker has reared its ugly head again.
Could this knock us out of third place?
We will find out in our last three matches.
My Gunners are on the road two out of the last three.
Our road record sucks. My Gunners have eight wins, seven losses, and two ties.
It seems like the pressure is getting to the guys. This is the second time in two weeks Arsenal stubbed their toes. This tie could hurt us. My Gunners have dropped five points out six in their last two matches.
This is not good garoto.
The good news is this. My Gunners are still in third place with 65 points.
Arsene Wenger was asked if this was a fair result. All quotes taken from www.arsenal.com
“It was a very unfair result but it is a result. I think [we should have had a penalty], I think also we had chances. At the end of the game we had the chances and they had zero. I cannot remember them having one chance. Having said that it was a little bit of a strange game because before the game I thought it would be an open one – we had to win, they had to win. They decided to lock up the game and catch us on the break only, with two wide players who are quick, and Torres.”
About the guys performance-
“On our side I felt we had a very solid defensive performance. Going forward we didn’t find our quick passing game and the regret we have today is that we played offensively with a handbrake and not as clean technically as we can do. That is why we didn’t open them up enough. It was a bit similar to what we saw against Wigan and that’s a regret I have today. They had three defensive midfielders with Romeu, Malouda and Essien in the middle of the park so it was very difficult to play through there. It was very physical as well. They adopted a little bit the system they played against Barcelona – certainly they wanted to practice for Tuesday night.”
On the race for the Champions League-
“What it means is that we have to win the rest of our games and we have to look at the results over the weekend as well.”

Newcastle took it to Stoke City winning 3-0. Tottenham dropped their second straight match. This 1-0 loss to Queens Park Rangers cost em dearly. Spurs have lost five matches out of their last nine.
The race for the last two Champions League berth looks like this.
My Gunners are third with 65 points. Toons are fourth with 62. Spurs are fifth with 59 and Chelsea is sixth with 58 points.
Places three and four head to the Champions League. Third is an automatic berth while fourth place earns you the chance to qualify for the Champions League. Finishing fifth earns you a place in the Europa League.

This is not good garoto.
Spurs have a game in hand.
Arsenal needs to win this sucker. With a win my Gunners can stick a fork in Chelsea’s season. A loss by the Blues will damper their hopes of securing one of the Champions League spots.
A loss by my Gunners will surely put us in jeopardy of not getting one of the two spots in the Champions League.
A ton is at stake at Emirates for both my Gunners and Chelsea so both sides will come out swinging for the fences.
This puppy will be a war.
After this weekend there will be three matches left for Arsenal.
Chelsea does have a game in hand. So does Newcastle who sits in fifth place with 59 points.
Toons battles Stoke City and Spurs are at QPR.
Robin Van Persie said this about the upcoming epic battle. All quotes taken from www.arsenal.com
“Everybody is looking forward to it, and to bouncing back from the Wigan result because we need to put that right. We have everything that it takes to put in another very good performance.”
“Chelsea have picked up considerably in recent weeks and had a great result against Barcelona on Wednesday.”
“They defended unbelievably well and were very strong on the counter-attack, with Didier Drogba having a really good game. At times they defended with eight or nine men, but you can hardly blame them for doing that against Barcelona.
“If they put in a performance like that on Saturday, it will be hard for us – but it will also be interesting to see how they approach today’s game in the middle of two massive Champions League fixtures. They only played two and a half days ago, and had to work hard against a lot of Barcelona possession the other day, so we’ll see what their manager decides to do.
“Whoever starts the game for them, I expect them to provide a very big test because they have next season’s Champions League at stake too and will not want to slip up.”

Wenger said this about the up coming match against the Blues.
“It is a massive game for us, of course, and I don’t need to look at the table to know that because the table is in my head.
“But overall we have been remarkably consistent in the last two months and I am confident we will have a very strong response on Saturday.”

About third place Wenger said this. “We want more,” he said ahead of Saturday’s London derby with Chelsea. “But where we are at the moment we will be happy with third place because there are great teams who would be very happy if they got there.
“You always want more but you see that the competition in England is difficult. Chelsea are now in the Champions League [semi-final] against Barcelona but they are sixth at the moment. That means it is not easy.”
