The international friendly is in season again. These stupid matches do more harm than good. Players who play in these matches wind up hurt all the time and many times players such as Fernando Torres, Kaka, Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand and the like are ruined forever.

Thank God Rooney was able come back. This is do to Sir Alex Ferguson. Rio Ferdinand on the other hand is dead meat. Torres is on the way to the bone heap.

With that said Brasil took on Bosnia Herzegovina. My guys won 2-1. Sure this is good but my God what the hell happened to Brasileiros futebol. The guys needed an own goal by Bosnia Herzegovina in the 90^th minute to pull out the win.

Marcelo scored in the 4^th minute for Brasil.

Bosnia Herzegovina found the equalizer in the 13^th minute.

Vedad Salihovic ripped the twines.

This is not good garoto.

If the guys continue to play like this we’ll get kicked out in the group stage of the World Cup. Imagine the hell that will break loose if this happens.

Do you want to talk about crazy insanity on the pitch then the Carling Cup final is for you. Liverpool should have killed League Championship side Cardiff City. Except no one told the Welsh side. 

The Bluebirds scored first in the 19^th minute. Joe Mason ripped the twines. Liverpool leveled this sucker up at one all in the 60^th minute. Martin Skrtel found the back of the net.

The Reds took the lead in extra time. Dirt Kuyt ripped the twines in the 108^th minute. It sure looked like Liverpool would win but hold your horses for Cardiff City equalized in the 118^th minute on a brilliant put back by Ben Turner. This score came off a wild and crazy corner kick. It was pinball machine time. Dirt Kuyt failed to clear the rock.

Buda Bing buda boom on to PK shootout time.

Both Liverpool and the Bluebirds missed the first two shots in the PK death match.

It all came down to this. Cardiff City trailed 3-2. It was make or break time. Nail it and it’s live for another round. Miss and Liverpool wins. The man in the hot seat is the cousin of Steven Gerrard Anthony Gerrard. It’s shanked wide left. The Reds win.

Heartbreak city for the Bluebirds. Cardiff was trying to become the first Welsh club to win a title since 1922.

Steven Gerrard said this about the choke collar. “It’s always cruel when it comes to penalties, but there has to be a loser.

“It was always going to be that one of us was sad and one celebrating. I’ve got mixed emotions. Obviously I’m delighted to win the cup for our supporters, but I feel for Anthony and Cardiff.

Cardiff City manager Malky Mackay was down right proud of his guys.

In the Taça Guanabara Fluminense defeated Vasco 3-1. Po-de Arroz won their first Rio title since 1993.

UOL- Por ironia, o Vasco foi o “responsável” pela classificação do Fluminense para as semifinais da Taça Guanabara. Na última rodada do torneio, o time tricolor precisava vencer o Bangu e torcer para o rival conquistar um triunfo sobre o Boavista. Foi essa combinação de resultados que aconteceu. O Flu passou de fase, eliminou o Botafogo nas penalidades e bateu o Vasco na final.

Fred led Fluminense with the daily double. Mate Deco added the other goal for Po-de Arroz.

This sucker was over by the 55^th minute. Fluminense jumped out to a 3-0 nil lead. Gigante de Colina added a cosmetic goal in the 82^nd minute by Eduardo Costa.

My guys from Arsenal stunk the joint out in the first forty minutes then this sucker changed on a dime. Louis Saha nailed a left footed slotter to give Spurs a 1-0 lead in the 4^th minute. 

Tottenham worked their magic again in the 34^th minute. A great give and go between Modric and Bale forced Arsenal keeper Szczesny to tackle Bale. PK for Spurs. Emmanuel Adebayor nailed the PK for a 2-0 Tottenham lead.

Instead of folding up like a cheap tent the guys pushed pedal to the metal and forced the attack. This caused major problems for Spurs. Sagna nailed a header in the 40^th minute. Three minutes later Robin Van Persie sidestepped a defender. He gave a little head fake. RVP stepped left and hit a perfect shot between the left post and Spurs keeper Brad Friedel to level this puppy up at two all.

My Gunners blew the doors off of Tottenham in the second half scoring three goals to put this sucker to bed.

The daily second half double by Theo Walcott and a goal by Tomas Rosicky sealed the deal for my Gunners.

The win puts us back into fourth place in the EPL.

My guys are tied with Chelsea on points with 46. Both Chelsea and Arsenal are a plus 16 but we have 14 wins compared with the Blues 13 wins.

This loss drove a stake in the Spurs hearts. Tottenham was hanging on to a shot at the title but this loss killed their chances off completely.

Man U led for most the match against Norwich City. The Red Devils gave up a late goal in the 83^rd minute but up stepped Ryan Giggs to send Sir Alex and the boys to the Promised Land.  This was a huge come from behind 2-1 win over the Canaries.

This win kept the mighty boys from Old Trafford in the title hunt.

Paul Scholes gave Man U the early when he hit for pay dirt in the 7^th minute.

City is top dog with 63 points.

Man U is second with 61.

Tottenham is third with 53.

My Gunners are fourth with 46.

Chelsea is fifth with 46 também.

City faced the bye-bye bound Blackburn. What did you expect chopped liver for the result? Not on this day for the Citizens won in a cake walk 3-0.

The Rovers never had a chance. Man City kept the pressure on from start to finish.

Goals by Mario Balotelli, Sergio Aguero, and Edin Dzeko propelled the Citizens to the win.

City has a five points lead over Sir Alex and the boys.

Kompany said that his guys must keep their focus on the prize.

“There is no such thing as an easy game for us – to win the league we will have to do the same week in week out,” he told Sky Sports 2. “People say being leader you have the pressure from those behind but I think it is the opposite.”

Manager Roberto Mancini said his chargers would take it one match at a time.

“It is important to be there at the end of May,” he said.

Chelsea snapped their five match winless streak in all competitions with a 3-0 win over a horrible Bolton squad.

The Wanderers are in the voce vai zone. This sucker was never really in doubt. Goals by David Luiz, Didier Drogba, and Frank Lampard were all Chelsea needed to move past my Gunners into fourth place.

The pressure has been on manager Andre Villas Boas. He kept his wits about him and cracked some funnies in the post match interview.

“What are you trying to say?” he said. “Of course, it’s a coincidence.”

He added sarcastically: “I got the call just this morning to play them, all three of them.”

The whole joint cracked up laughing.

Fulham beat Queens Park Rangers 1-0.

Newcastle and Wolverhampton were knotted at two all.

West Brom killed Sunderland 4-0.

Wigan and Aston Villa kissed their sister at nil-nil.

The Wig guys are whale dung with 20 points. One step above being a bottom feeder is Bolton with 20 points. The Latics are a minus 27 compared with the Wanderers are a minus 25.

Blackburn is one step away from safety in 18^th place with 21 points.

Queens Park Rangers are barely in the out of the bang you’re dead zone. The Swans have 20 points but what is saving their butts is a minus 18 compared with Bolton’s minus 22.

The boys from the EPL are back at it this weekend. Top dog Man City takes on Blackburn at City’s house later today.

This should be an easy win for the Citizens. The Rovers suck.

Chelsea will try and snap their four match winless streak with a win over Bolton at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues have two ties and two losses in the last four EPL matches.

To say this is a must win situation is a classic under statement.

Chelsea is on the verge of dropping out of contention for the Champions League spot as well as a Europa League spot.

Just like my Gunners this is a serious stretch of games for us as well as the Blues.

My Gunners battle Tottenham on Sunday at our house.

My guys are in the fourth spot but Arsenal is barely hanging on.

Spurs are in the running for the EPL title so this will be an all out war.

Both my Gunners and Spurs have a lot to play for.

Robin Van Persie and company are going to have to step up big time.

Man U is on the road against Norwich. Sir Alex and the boys will know the result they need when this sucker rolls around on Sunday.

My guys from found a different way to lose. Vanger Love hit pay dirt first in the 2^nd minute then boo-Mengao gave up the equalizer in the 15^th minute. Alecsandro gave Vasco the big Mo they needed.

Vanger Love fired a long-range bomb from just outside the top of the box.

O jogo mal começou e o Flamengo saiu em vantagem. Aos 2, Vagner Love recebeu bola na entrada da área e aproveitou o fato de Ronaldinho confundir a zaga vascaína para driblar Fagner e abrir o placar. O golaço empolgou os rubro-negros, que partiram com tudo para o ataque. Inicialmente dominado, o Vasco buscava se reorganizar e trabalhar a posse de bola.

The reason for the Vasco win was Diego Souza.

Os times passaram a segurar mais a bola e atacar apenas “na boa”. Com as substituições feitas, Diego Souza foi o responsável por levar o Vasco à final da Taça Guanabara. Aos 32, Kim cruzou e Fagner apareceu pelo meio para cabecear. Felipe espalmou para o lado e Diego Souza aproveitou o rebote para virar o jogo e iniciar a festa vascaína na Quarta-Feira de Cinzas.

It was tied at one all until Diego Souza perfectly placed header found its home in the back in the 78^th minute to propel Gigante de Colina past Rubro-Negro 2-1.

This was Vasco’s first win over Mengao in ten tries.

Vasco earns a spot in the Taça Guanabara finals.

Once again the boys found the answer to screw up a perfectly good unbeaten streak against Vasco.

Mengao had their chances to win this sucker but once again the guys couldn’t push the rock past the goal line.

Deivid had a golden opportunity but missed a point blank shot.

Mengao has a hot date with Vasco in the semifinals of Taça Guanabara Wednesday night. The winner of this puppy will advance to the finals to take on the winner of the Botafogo-Fluminense winner.

Flamengo’s problem has been scoring. The “D” is pretty good but the attack led by Ronaldinho Gaucho and company has been offensive at best. Our scoring down right sucks so the guys are going to have to put the ball into the back of the net.

UOL wrote a story stating that since 2010 Gigante de Colina hasn’t beaten my guys. Rubro-Negro has three wins and five ties.

The EPL has found a way to stink the joint out big time in the Champions League. First my guys from Arsenal had their heads handed to them by AC Milan now Chelsea jumped out to an early 1-0 lead but gave up three goals and lost 3-1 to Napoli.

Milan is top dog in the Italian Serie A but Napoli give me a break. These cats are in sixth place and probably won’t make to next years Champions League.

The Blues ripped the twines first in the 27^th minute. Juan Mata slotted home a misplayed clearance by Napoli’s Palo Cannavaro.

The Italian’s righted the shipped and scored the next three goals to win 3-1.

A daily double by Ezequiel Lavezzi led the way.

Mate Edinson Cavani scored as well.

This is becoming a deadly habit for the Blues. Chelsea takes the lead and blows it. Chelsea has not won in five straight matches in all competition.

So far the EPL sides have been a major disappointment in the Champions League. Man U bombed out in the group stage. City didn’t advance either. Now Chelsea and my Gunners played like schoolgirls so it looks like the EPL’s elite clubs are playing like crap.

Napoli leads 3-1 on aggregate. The second leg will be played at Chelsea’s house at Stamford Bridge.

Real Madrid took the early lead on a goal by Cristiano Ronaldinho in the 28^th minute. CSKA Moscow found the equalizer in injury time (93^rd minute) to level this puppy up at one all. A goal by Pontus Wernbloom broke the hearts of Los Blancos.

This should have been a Real Madrid win but they like the Chelsea wore the choke collar. The only difference is that CSKA Moscow and Los Blancos tied. This gives Real Madrid a heads up in the return match at their house.

Both Los Blancos and CSKA Moscow are tied one all on aggregate.

My guys from Mengao finally put it together offensively. Flamengo beat Resende 3-1 to advance to the semifinals Taça Guanabara.

This sucker was a close call.

My guys from boo-Mengao fell behind 1-0 before scoring three straight goals to pull out the “W”.

Globo Esporte- Não é o melhor dos sambas. Não é a mais afinada das baterias. Mas o Flamengo pelo menos garantiu um pouco de paz no carnaval ao assegurar presença no desfile das campeãs da Taça Guanabara. Com virada de 3 a 1 sobre o Resende, neste sábado, em Volta Redonda, o time de Joel Santana avançou como segundo colocado para as semifinais do primeiro turno do Campeonato Carioca. Both Rubro-Negro and Botafogo are tied on points with 15 but Fogao is a plus 13 compared with my guys plus nine.

Botafogo defeated Macaé 3-0 earlier in the day. Flamengo and Vasco will go to war on Wednesday in the semifinal of the Taça Guanabara.

Fogao and Fluminense will take to the pitch on Thursday in the other semifinal.

The big surprise coming out of Sunday’s play in the fifth round of the FA Cup was Stevenage holding the line against Tottenham. The Boro and Spurs tied nil-nil.

Stevenage had their chances and so did Tottenham but neither side could push the rock across the goal line.

Spurs did score a goal in the 56^th minute. Saha found the back of the net but mate Parker was offside.

This was a good call.

Stevenage played tough “D” against Spurs. The Boro clogged the middle and forced Saha and company to fight through four or five defenders. Tottenham was never allowed to get their free following attack going and this gave Stevenage the tie.

Stevenage and Tottenham will have a replay at Spurs house.

Former Spurs keeper Chris Day who is now the keeper of the “D” for Boro said this ”We did lots of homework this week and worked really heard. The game got stretched at the end and we were on the front foot. We’ve had a tough game in the week at Sheffield Wednesday – and have got two clean sheets.”

Day added this- ”It’s a tight pitch here, quite dry today and bobbly – and it was windy.

”They had great possession but we banked up and anything they slung in the two centre-halves gobbled up.

”But we had some chances as well. We’ll be a long shot in the replay but this will be first time I’ll go there this season and not pay to get in. We’ll enjoy the occasion.”

Stoke City shut out Crawley Town 2-0.

All in all it was a big day for Liverpool and Stoke City.
