Liverpool’s season was really on the brink of ruin. Liverpool was hoping to come out of Villa Park with at least a tie. Most of the match both sides dueled even Steven. The dying moments Fernando Torres nailed the match winner in the 90th minute to rescue the Reds season.
Two straight losses for Villa after killing Man U. This is not good.
Before anyone jumps on Villa, least we remember they only had one days rest between matches.
The Reds had a full two days rest.
This is like playing a football game on Sunday. Then turn around, and play again on Tuesday. This is tough baby.
Liverpool has now won two straight.
This was a huge win for the Reds.
Liverpool is now in seventh place with 33 points
The Reds have made a long climb up the table to get near the Champions League zone but now it is very manageable.
Five points separate the Reds from second place Man U. The Red Devils will play on Wednesday against Wigan. This baby is huge for Man U. A win will cut Chelsea’s lead to three points.
The Gunners have a hot date with Portsmouth.
Arsenal needs one of those bad boy wins as well.
I love it. Let’s make a log jam at the top of the table.
Let Chelsea, Man U, Arsenal, and Tottenham duel it out on the pitch.
Bolton had a chance for a big three points against lowly Hull City. The Wanders jumped out to a 2-0 lead.
Then the match went south for Bolton.
The Tigers picked up a head of steam.
Stephen Hunt ripped the twines in the 71st and 78th minute to tie this baby up.
You gotta love it.
Craig Fagan almost pulled a tiger out of his hat late in injury time. He had two point-blank shots that went off the cross bar and post.
The Wanders Steinsson had a great opportunity to win it but he missed it by that much.
All and all these matches were very close and entertaining for the fans. This was not true for the coaches or the players.

If Rafa’s shown the door at the end of the season he’s not solely to blame. Look no further than the ownership hierarchy of Gillette and Hicks. If you remember I’d stated that they’d leveraged the team with a great deal of debt ? Now Hicks is having his own financial problems concerning his ownership of the Dallas Stars and the Texas Rangers.
