Two rounds are in the books in the Champions League play. Here are a couple of observations. Liverpool may have a hard time making it out of group play if they continue perform the way they have. The Reds are not that well prepared. Liverpool wasn’t ready to start the season. Rafael Benitez acted as if the EPL crown was all ready theirs. The Reds forgot they have to play the entire season.

Arsenal and Manchester United have the same problem. Neither the Gunners nor the Red Devils can finish their scoring chances. They have left way too many goals on the table. If this persists Arsenal and Man U may have a rude awakening in the later rounds. You have to finish.

Many concluded incorrectly that Manchester United’s trouble tickling the twines is due to Cristiano Ronaldo leaving for Real Madrid. NOT!  Even when the fake Ronaldo was playing, they still had trouble finding the back of the net. Check out last years Champions League Final against Barcelona.

For Chelsea this is totally a horse of a different color. The Blues have this attitude they are better than everyone else. All Chelsea has to do is show up and they will win. Check out the Blues first match of the season. Their loss to Wigan and yesterdays abomination against Apoel Nicosia proves this point oh so well.

I call this the Dallas Cowboys syndrome. Chelsea is the Dallas Cowboys of the EPL. God help them for I hate the Dallas Cowboys and I hope the entire team rots in hell.

God must be laughing for Liverpool and Chelsea will square off against each other on Sunday at Stamford Bridge. This is anybody’s guess which teams for both sides will show up.

Lets go from the ridicules to the sublime as we will take a look at Argentina  futebol.  The national team is dire straights. Argentinos is in danger of not making the World Cup for the first time since 1970.

The team stinks. This is putting it mildly.

Maradona and his buds Grondona have taken a powerful futebol team and turned it into a bunch of school children. Or in street lingo, they stink to high heaven or better yet they suck big time. Argentina has some very good players Messi, Tevez, Luis Gonzales, and Gabriel Heinze just to name a few.

God forbid if Argentina losses to lowly Peru on October 10. If this happens, I will bet dollars to holes in a donut there will be riots in the streets. 

I have a sneaky suspicion that Argentina will lose to Peru.

Argentina, you brought this on yourself when you let Grondona run the AFA. He hired the idiot Maradona. Two idiots don’t make a genus so good luck and God’s speed when you clowns take on Peru. You will need all the help you can get.
